My first flat with my now missus was above the shops which were called Stella Precinct then (they may still be). We loved that flat and it was decent round there, everyone was sound. We moved out to go travelling, but we still remember it fondly.
I was born in a two up two down in seaforth 70 years ago. It was a working class place with genuinely nice people. Moved out when i was ten then they built the road down to the dock killed the place off .
Seaforth was a lovely place back in the day, then it was split in half with the road to the docks. Look up the army barracks and old police station, the Americans were stationed at the barracks back in the day, my mum was from Caradoc road in Seaforth. Keep up the great vids mate 👍
I moved up to seaforth few years ago, it’s sound, ppl are sound, it’s got a good community, it’s quiet, council could do with putting some money into all areas of Liverpool, they need to do something about sorting the empty properties out so ppl can move in to them, bit of a shortage in seaforth and Waterloo, and landlord are asking silly prices for rent, and it’s hard to get them to do jobs, but the area is a nice place to live
Born and lived in Rossini St , used to walk Seaforth Road to Beach Road primary every day (70s) remember the train station smell of disinfectant every morning.. and there were plenty of shops too, very much different now..
Didn't even scratch the surface of Seaforth there mate! I spent me childhood living between there and Bootle. Lived both sides of the dual carriageway. Always say there's a shit half, and a shitter half - people from each side will argue which one is which 😂 It's funny because loads of the people I went to High School with who lived in Crosby all slated it for being rough and full of smackheads, but now most of them live there because they can't afford a house in Crosby, and the only people who can are dealers 🤣 Always was, and still is a friendly place. There's the odd bit of trouble like anywhere, but the troublemakers generally keep it amongst themselves, and are still pleasant to everyone they're not at war with. Loads of ex dockers still live there. Never known a place so full of quiet, unassuming men in their 70s who'd kick fuck out of 90% of lads less than half their age. If you get back there, be boss to see you interview Sid Siadanky from Seaforth ABC. Amazing fella and boxing coach ❤
The street featured during the first half of the video would, up until the early 1970s, have been a real hive of activity. However, the construction of the nearby Princess Way dual carriageway ensured that its importance was to decline markedly. Seaforth was once a desirable locale. Prior to expansion of the docklands, beaches extended southwards beyond Waterloo. The waterfront here was overlooked by grand houses, including Seafield Convent and a Seaforth Hall. I feel that the authorities now see the area as little more than an inconvenience - a place which they would happily see flattened in its entirety, in order that further room might be made for development at the port.

Went around them streets door to door yrs ago with a van load of frozen chickens 2lb 10oz for a £1. The people were great, couldn't buy enough. They were the days.
Would be interesting if you went to the Webster triangle in Wavertree, to see if the £1 house scheme had made a difference to the area as it was derilict before
The derailict houses in Welsh streets that peaky blinders used them to film the early series If they wouldn't of used them would of been knocked down. It’s a close nit community is Seaforth, that’s the old post Office Depot that building, that high rise been empty for well over 10 years, a lot residents do respect the area but some don’t
The 60s council high rise in towns and city's. Eather left to rot then say cost to much to referb knock them down sell off the land. Or private investors who see the potential in them buy referb and sell them at a high price for each flat and make a lot of money.
@@karlmcglue9946 It's all some weird ethnic cleansing of Scousers they're doing from the deepest chambers of Parliament. They've been at it since 1945. Prior to WWII the busiest Airports in the country were Speke and Croydon Airports. Then an embargo was put in on Liverpool's traffic to prevent expansion into the Mersey for a larger carrier belt. The same restrictions that were put on Speke and Croydon were magically raised for Manchester in the 1950s or 60s. You've actually got to peel away Merseyside from the UK at some point, get Saudi investment in or simply go the way of Monaco. The fact that we lack a suspension bridge over the Mersey is simply a snobbery thing on the part of the home counties who only want these extraordinary feats of engineering going on in the Belle Aire of Scotland. I've been watching videos of Dublin and how superfluous and gassy their new fangled Guinness factory is. Any major city in the UK looks clean and spacious compared to Liverpool and it's time we demanded the boulevards that Glasgow and Manchester are afforded. If you look at how nice Dublin is allowed to be compared to Liverpool you can see this is all by design and TPTB are all hands down on a malfeasance kick. We have to draw blood soon

You know it's shit when you can't find a Starbar. I had stopped taking sugar and sweets for years now and you've started me back on the Starbars Billy. I love them.
Billy Moore is awesome sheds like on the state of Britain which is sad
I am from Bootle in Liverpool and I love your videos bro
Yes Bro? Bootle heads saying ‘bro’ is daft. Bro is a south end shout. Fucking Mings
Why do the Politicians tell us we need to build more homes and there are so so many derelict and not maintained ?
It’s a close nit community is Seaforth, that’s the old post Office Depot that building, that high rise been empty for well over 10 years, a lot residents do respect the area but some don’t
The 60s council high rise in towns and city's. Eather left to rot then say cost to much to referb knock them down sell off the land. Or private investors who see the potential in them buy referb and sell them at a high price for each flat and make a lot of money.
Happening Billy lad....keep pumping out great content brother!.....standard!
The taxi driver you interviewed who got blown up out side the woman’s … the bomber worked in that pizza place on Seaforth Road.
Lovely
Looks apocalyptic liverpool nowadays
Go look how much foreign investments going into manchester
@@BabushkaOnuk yep. 100%. they've always had it in for up here.
