This would have to be one of the best videos I have seen on Edinburgh. Planning a trip for me solo.😃
Thank you! Enjoy your solo trip. It’s a great city for it!
Did any of these spots catch your interest?? I can't wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful country!
I am going there soon, thanks for the tips and videon.
Enjoy your trip!
great video. Will follow your map and visit Edinburgh deeply this time!
Thanks!
Thanks Ashley for the excellent review of Edinburgh Scotland! Once again you really brought a delightful view through great cinematography & commentary of this amazing location. Your reviews have helped me enjoy incredible destinations in the past and continue to inspire. There are too many locations in your Edinburgh review to pick a favorite. I did especially enjoy your early morning walk through the royal mile and amazing last dinner spot! Really appreciate your content! Best Always.....Bob V
Thank you, Bob! I think my early morning walk on the Royal Mile was a favorite of mine as well. :)
Love Edinburgh! Thanks for the lovely video xx
Thanks! And same! I fell in love with this city almost immediately. :)
The one of the most practical and worth video. Thank you so much❤️I am planning to go in September,( I hope that weather won't be so bad.) Descriptive and clear, where to go,where to dine and entertain ❤
Thank you so much! September sounds like a great time to go. It will be less be than August (during the Fringe fest). Enjoy!
Pretty in the centre. Rough out with the centre. Freezing everywhere.🥶
This was a really well-done video. Thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Glad you enjoyed the video! Edinburgh was beautiful. :)
Ya know what? I've been to beautiful Edinburgh 8 times and your video has me making MUST SEE notes for my 9th trip. Thanks so much!
P.S. The Royal Yacht Britannia has a lovely 'tea room' cafe for an after-tour experience. Bus service in Edinburgh is excellent and certainly goes out to Leith. And oops, yes. The Waters of Leith is meant to be picturesque and memorable. Thanks again!
Jealous that you’ve been almost 9 times! The tea service onboard the Britannia is definitely one I’d love to try out when I’m back! (And yes… Leith deserves a 2nd attempt on my part haha!)
If you visit in February, there aren't as many crowds, but we do have horizontal sleet. Bring your heavy weather gear.
As tempting as the horizontal sleet sounds… 😂
Great video. As a resident I wholly approve of your restaurant choices. The Scarn and Scallie is a cut above any other Edinburgh pub food and still quite reasonable. Witchery is also awesome but seriously decadent. If you go back check out more pubs on the Shore in Leith near Britannia. Loads of nice pubs with good food and friendly locals.
Thank you! Yes - I would love to go back and explore more of Leith! The walk out that way was fantastic, but I definitely didn’t give myself enough time to really see that area (other than Britannia). It’s high on my list next time I’m there. :)
This was such an informative video!
Thank you! That was my hope. :)
Thank you from 🇮🇳
Fellow travel creator. Great video. So much to do. I was there in college about 20 years ago and loved my time there. Can’t wait to get back! Omg that last restaurant was epic.
Thank you! Hope you get to go back soon. That last restaurant - The Witchery - was definitely worth it. ;)
Great Video, Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh. Haste Ya Back!!
Thank you!
august fly 19th land 20th back out on saturday - have it all planned down to the minute. good video. we travel like this all the time. usually 4 days is sufficient to see a portion of the great places around the world.
Enjoy your trip! Sounds like you’ll be there for Fringe Fest. :)
Enjoyable video, fun fact though the royal mile isn’t actually a standard mile, it’s an old Scots mile and is, in fact, about 1.8km…
Yes! Great point! I forgot to mention in the video, but it is certainly a fun fact. :)
Live in Glasgow .I'm 🏴 Scottish. Edinburgh is a wonderful city .You missed out in the Johnnie Walker experience on Princess Street. Absolutely brilliant. Your coverage was excellent. "Why didn't you try haggis ",😂 SLANJ
Thanks for the comment! I will have to check out the Johnnie Walker experience the next time around. And I loved the haggis. I think anything served in a meatball format will taste good to me. 😂
@@akfasso Superb .Welcome ye back .SLANJ
This is truly informative, thanks. May I know when did you travel? Was it during Spring?
Thank you! Beginning of May!
@@akfasso I'll be in Edinburgh in mid October, I wonder if your itinerary is doable for me, especially since I think you did a lot of walking? I'm not the best walker 😆
@trishr7463 sounds like a lovely time to visit! I did do quite a lot of walking, but all of the destinations I visited are easily accessible by bus, as well. I even took a cab one night to dinner. :) Enjoy!

Does the hotel have a bidet?
Not sure if this is sarcasm (😅), but my room did not have a bidet.
Don't drive.. I live in Scotland and deriving in Edinburgh is an nightmare.. Its really not car friendly at all.. Avoid car it's not at all needed unless you do trips away from city centre but I would do the city on one trip then other places on another.. There's so much to see. Mostly enjoy
Great insights! Thank you. I found the city to be very walkable, so I agree. A car is not necessary!
