A happy Scot. The picture they have put up to illustrate 'tablet' is not ! it's fudge. Tablet is essentially toffee that will break your knife if you try to cut it into fancy cubes.

I can't believe Sam mentioned the taxi drivers! lol - I LOVED Scotland when I visited (and am returning soon). The taxi drivers were the absolute BEST; funny & entertaining, personable. One even adopted us & tailored his schedule to ours for a couple of days. JUST the best. 💗
When I last went to Scotland my taxi driver recommended an affordable spa hotel I should check out for my honey moon... now we're actually going there lol. Everyone was just so incredibly friendly and open!
That made me laugh a little at the end when he said "They'll find out everything about your life before you finish your journey". I wonder how they deal with quiet people. Hhmmmm
I have been to Scotland twice and everything Sam said about it is the absolute truth! The people truly are wonderful, the scenery is superb and the food is great! I’m sure the whiskey is magnificent but I can’t attest to it because I don’t drink it but I can’t believe you would waste your time with whiskey made anywhere else in the world! I've been to Scotland 3 times, specifically have done a road trip around the highlands twice and it's never been enough for me. I plan to go back as soon as I can.
Delightful. I did go to Scotland in my 20's on a backpacking trip around Europe. I got to see a festival in Edinburgh. The youth hostrl sas in a castle. And I recall great vanilla fudge...maybe it was that tablet you showed. ( I am 70 now.)

I was in Scotland this May. great country great people indescribably beautiful landscape. the Highlands are incredibly beautiful. Thank you Scotland for this unforgettable trip. I will come back for sure
We visited Scotland last February and fell in LOVE! My husband and I agree that we wish we would've stayed longer. Everyone was SUPER friendly and yes. Our taxi driver was the best! Told us so many stories and really engaged in great conversations. I'd love to go back soon.
As I am traveling to Scotland on Oct 1, I just want to thank Sam and Condé Nast and all of the comments here for giving me this remarkable preview to Scotland! Of course I am going partly because of Outlander but reading all of this has gotten me really excited to visit lovely Scotland! I can’t wait! Thank you again Sam and everyone for all the info especially how to spell whisky! Maybe Sam we’ll pass on the streets of Edinburgh!
We started in Glasgow a lovely city and then went along the west part of Scotland into the Highlands! So beautiful and picturesque! Saw thousands of sheep in the fields and even saw a demo of dogs with their shepherd herding the sheep and a sheep shearing! Going up the western coast stopped at three castles Mt Stuart and Eilean Donan Castle and Dunvegan Castle which were lovely each in their own way! So much history! Also Inverewe Gardens! Visited the Isle of Skye and travelled all the way north to the Orkney Islands! Explored Skail House and oil We
So informative for 12 minutes only! I love the passion of the narrator - you can feel through the screen how Sam loves his native lands ❤ Oh, forgot to mention that Scotland is my dream destination, and I hope to get there quite soon. We Ukrainians love Scottish longing for freedom ✨😇
I could watch videos like this all day long. The first season of Men in Kilts actually made me take my first trip to Scotland last summer and it did not disappoint. The people are so vibrant and friendly and in tune with their history, but not enough is said about the fashion. I was eyeing people's boots and sweater game the whole trip!
You will always be Jamie to Ms. Barbara. I've traveled to Ireland, now I want to visit Scotland after being totally smitten by Outlander. Love the entire stage presence. Hair, clothes, shoes, kilts, etc. All of it...including women dress. Kudos to the person responsible for costume.. Jamie/Sam got ms Barbara alive again. Keep laughter alive.
It is wonderful- my favorite place -- was able to visit EDInburgh and then traveled to Inverness in the middle of Scotland and Balmoral castle -- and the Isle of Skye -- and I would love to see even more-- the very North of Scotland -- it is beautiful!
Me encantó!!! Todo, a pesar de mi básico inglés, creo haber comprendido ayudada por el subtitulado en inglés. Palabras en gaélico me fascinó como lo has explicado. Todo un profesor. Sam, you can be my private tour guide through Scotland any time you want to. I adore your Scottish accent. I have been to Scotland frequently on business and for fun times, and totally adore the place. Sam did not mention Glasgow has some of the best Indian restaurants outside of India, since so many served as boat crews on British ships or were engineers building British battleships and settled there. I am always impressed at how knowledgeable Sam is about places to visit, his knowledge of the local words, and the easygoing way he describes things there. I would adore being his travel companion any day of the week. If Hollywood or the British BAFTA people ever tire of Sam, he could have a second career narrating travelogues or Scottish history shows. He also beautifully narrated a lovely story on the Calm relaxation app about a Scottish time traveler looking for his lost true love with a magic book.
I tried sugarfree Irn Bru while I was in Stirling. It tasted like Bubblegum on soda. 😅 But I did become obsessed with a particular brand of crisps- Mackie's of Scotland I think it was. OBSESSED. ❤

I tried something recently called a Swedish Stroopwafel which is small thin waffle patties with caramel sandwiched between. Ooooh my newest guilty pleasure! Gotta watch it though, they could heavily spike my blood sugar 😋😋🧇

Dear Sam , thank you for your very Scottish description of the unique wonders we may visit in your motherland. However the signroads you were showing us are neither the Scandinavian nor Viking language but the Polish one and the Polish destinations ... Like Szczecin, Piaseczno etc. Grateful for recommending my beloved country. Welcome to Poland and Scotland ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing Sam. What a beautiful country Scotland is. I love your Scotland accent. I love how it comes out even more when you talk about your country.😊🥰♥️
Wait, at 8:20 did they really just used a picture of signs indicating some places in Poland to picture the anecdote of the Scandinavian names in Scotland? Or am I missing something here?
LOVE THIS~ seeing how proud and familiar he is about Scotland, makes me wanna watch Outlander all over again, and of course visiting Scotland~ and yes, we are going to perform in the Fringe festival this year!!

As a Scot, I can confirm that Scotland is magical, proven by the fact that our national animal is the unicorn. 😊
As an American everyone in Scotland is so friendly. Loved my time there.
