I’ve lost 35lbs since March. I’m 59. Getting older is not for the faint of heart! I do feel so much better not carrying that weight around. My bike appreciates it too!

Yes indeed wellbeing is very important ..a little bit of what you fancy is good ...but always use restraint..

A great point to put across 👍 there are other factors which also benefits your bike when you're leaner and fitter. Firstly, the fitter you are, the more alert you are and most importantly the bond between man and machine is more harmonious. Combustion engined bikes breath, have a heart beat and a pulse. If your bike's well you feel well and vice versa. This is the one area where electric bikes just don't cut it. They don't breath, have no heart beat, no pulse and no Soul, attributes the lack of which I'm sure will transfer to their riders.

Couldn’t agree more, loosening a bit of weight and exercising more can bring on all kinds of benefits. For example you become more alert and improve your concentration. Ride safe Mr TPR. 👍

Oh man this is close to my heart, I've had weight issues since I was 30 something. Now 60, everytime I go on a diet I do manage to lose weight only to put even more on when I come off it.
It doesn't help when my other half keeps making cakes !

Weight? I, at 88 years old, 5 feet six inches long, (lying down on a sunny day), and weighing in at a mere 140 Lbs, (10 Stone in old money), in my stocking feet! I shop, prepare, cook, and eat 4 wonderful, tasty home-cooked meals every day: Breakfast, Dinner, Tea, and Supper, seven days a week! If I turn sideways, I disappear! My exercise mostly involves resting in my comfy armchair, which prevents me from being unnecessarily worn out! All due to home-cooking, no stress, (living on my own), blood pressure/heart rate = being normal, and eating all the right foods which are good for me! Maybe I'm just lucky?...LOL...!....😊....😊...!
