- This video tells the story of my new 14 year motorbike boots.
PLEASE NOTE:
Rossi still make wonderful boots that are great value and well made, they just don't make the motorbike boots any more.

Being Scots I love a bargain and like you second hand market places have been my Go-To for almost everything. Not everything is used sometimes it's just the last of old stock. I've gotten good bargains on most of my motorbike gear and many household items. Also as a Scot we love a story, whether to listen to or to tell and this video covered both of those equally well.
My most recent purchase is similarly old, a little more at 17yrs of age and came to me not so much at a bargain price but at current market values. A 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic Tourer, one very careful owner and only 12,700 miles on the clock. She looks stunning, sounds enthralling and fits me like a glove. Much like your story, the old boy who's pride and joy she was had to give up riding because of a medical condition. He was heart broken to let her go, but comforted by the fact that her new owner would treat her with the same love and respect as he did himself.
Fabulous story mate thank you for sharing. So many things can be repurposed and if you look carefully you can find most things. Thank you for your input mate, I appreciate it. 😎
Marketplace for the win 😎
That camera angle is much better .. thank you for bringing us along 💚
Thank you , I love market place 😀 and love the camera now that I have adjusted it.
I like sometimes buying existing items rather than having new items created into existence, admire your approach. I'm a full-length boot man as well. Enjoyed the story on the fortunate find!
Thank you Mate, I love a pre- owned repurposed product. Thankyou for your input, I appreciate it 😎
I love well made boots ..they are like old friends ..
Well put mate 😎
There’s nothing wrong with buying secondhand. Like you said, it’s important to screen the people first 👍
Yes thanks Mate, it has always worked for me so far. 😎
I've purchased several cameras off of Facebook Marketplace and have had outstanding luck. I will say in the US there's a lot of thieves selling stolen goods on places like this so you have to vet out the bad apples. Great find and I would have jumped on those boots. Eric
Thanks mate. Yes I totally agree, one needs to be careful. I have been very lucky also so far 😎
So you like wearing full length boots, what right up to the thigh?! 🤣🤣 Seems like you were lucky to find those boots because if they are quality, as long as they've been stored correctly they will still be the same as brand new. My preference these days are the 3/4 length boot but I do still have my full length Belstaff boots from 1980. I went to the International Classic Motorbike show at Stafford (UK) in about 2010-12 and a guy offered to buy them off my feet and get me a new pair of boots from the show as well as cash for them. I turned him down but after a bit of searching on the internet it turns out they are worth about 3-5 times what I paid for them in 1980. Yes I still have them they are wrapped up and stored and stuffed with paper. All the best and ride safe.
The boots come up almost to the top of the calf. The thigh length ones are for going to the pub 🤣🤣. Your old boots will be worth an absolute fortune one day Mate 😎
Awesome to find a pair, especially a new pair! Good find.
Yes very pleased 😎
Great views of ripping around Oz on that DJI camera. I've sold a couple of things on FB marketplace and it has generally worked pretty well for me.
Great post - ride safe mate! (You guys are heading into Spring/Summer now, right?)
Thanks Mate, yes heading into summer YIPPEE ! We have had a very cold wet winter. 😄
They're bargains to be had. Think more people will be looking to sell all kinds of stuff in the current climate too. Stay safe my friend, nice vid 👍
Yes Mate if you look hard enough you can definitely find a bargain. 😎 Thank you for dropping by.
My problem with all my motorcycle boots is that they all have large, reinforced toe caps, which makes it difficult/impossible to tuck my toe under the gear-shift pedal to change gear with the forward controls on my Honda cruiser! It's a constant battle to change gear! ...Is it time for a heal-and-toe shifter..or a new pair of Bedroom Slippers??...LOL...Take care, all!......😉...😉...!
Bedroom slippers would work well 🤣. Luckily these boots allow me to shift easily. Thanks for dropping by Mate.
Great story, loved it 😀
Thank you 😊
The camera is sweet, mate. That was a top score with the Rossi's. Ride well. Cheers
Thank Mate, take care 😀
I watched this from my television recently but my phone was acting up
I actually quit wearing boots and went to high top tennis shoes lol 😂
🤘👍
Nice 👍
New camera looks great 👍
Yes very happy with it. 😁
I only ever used to buy Rossi boots. They were the best. Sad they no longer make them.
Yes, a pity they are no longer made, pleased I was able to find these. 😃
Great bit of luck there, well done. 👍
Thanks Mate
I have a pair of new Rossi short motorcycle boots I have never worn. Road ridden many times!
How old are your new Rossi boots Nev ? Yes love that road. 😎
@@MRTPR Well would have to be at least 10 years old!
Hello.
Nice ride!
comfortable ride.
Bike shoes are important for your safety.
Shift protector (patch). is effective!
I have been using "ELF" bike shoes for many years.
for summer and winter. They are also safe and comfortable.
Thank you my friend.
Thank you I really appreciate you dropping by. I will have to look up ELF boots.
I use Rossi boots as well they have been the best I have had so far mine are now 6 years old and are still quite good. And hey my sister in law lives out that way your riding Cockatoo Valley.
I love those roads, I try and see my parents when I can and they live out that way. I can visit them and then take the long way home. I often ride down south toward Myponga and Normanville when I am not seeing them , just love those roads also. Yes and a pity they don't make the Motorbike boots anymore. Thanks for dropping by Mate
Sounds like you got a rare bargain there. I must admit I ride with my work boots. Don't think I've ever had a "proper" pair of riding boots. Lol !!
I have been very lucky and love them, thanks for dropping by Mate.
This is an interesting story. I am also buying second hand. Not everything, but some things I really thing are worth to buy second hand. Why would I buy something brand new if I can get it "just like new" for 30 -50 % less money. Nice video mate. Just keep up.
Thank you Mate, yes buying good second hand, can save you a heap of money 😀
Dope video dude!
Thanks 😀
New camera looks sweet mate 😎👌
Thank you I am very happy with it so far 😎
So great to watch 👍👍👍
Much love 😍😍😍😘

Thank you 😊
💪🔥💯 let's get Kraken.
Thank you for dropping by 😎
currently, difficult to find a good pair of boots for the motorcycle✌
I agree, I was just lucky that I came across these 😃 thank you for dropping by.
Well that was a great find Tim. How long do they last you mate?
Thanks Mate, my old ones are about 5-6 years old now, they have been through a big crash and are nearly ready for the bin. 😎
So he waited 14 years, before he gave up the idea of one day getting back on the bike?
Not exactly, he threw them in the cupboard and then just forgot about them. They were rediscovered by his wife, who convinced him to sell them 😎.
