The new jacket looks great, I wished you'd named and shamed the previous maker as a heads up for others. I too like to be seen and high vis you would think makes a lot of sense. However reality would seem to prove otherwise. I have a similar green high vis on my jacket and trousers along with white reflective stripes. My helmet model is called "firefly" so you can imagine how that glows. My bike itself is Kawasaki reflective green and black and as wide as a bus ( ZZR 1400). Do drivers see me? It would appear not, by the way they dash out in front of me!! However, they do the same with my car which is pearl reflective white. It would appear being seen isn't the problem, caring less is!! Conclusion: It's still better to do your best to be seen. Imagine how much worse it would be if they could claim they didn't see you!!
Great points Mate, the other brand was RST. It really does appear that their quality has dropped. A real pity as I loved their product. It appears from other comments, Hi-VIS does not really work. I have a bright blue bike, bright green helmet, light always on and now a hi- viz jacket. Lets hope it makes a difference. I think that drivers are distracted by their phone etc. Thank you for your input and dropping by. 😎
@@MRTPR I suspected it was RST, the only brand I know with two removable liners. I very nearly bought the same one but opted for the newer version, only time will tell if it meets the grade. So far I'm loving the coolness of the mesh during hotter days, though I'm having my doubts about waterproofness of the dual purpose liner ( yet to test it) My previous suit was by Australian biker gear ( made in Pakistan) very cheap, jacket and trousers for the price of either. Well made, well vented, high vis, kept the rain out, kept me warm in the Scottish winter and has lasted 3yrs so far.
I’m not a hi viz guy, but this one looks really good. Lol a voucher to get it sewed up?!?!? Great review man, hopefully this jacket holds up over time.
I suspect globalization and outsourcing had led to the deline of quality products. That's really sad they way they handled their indiscretion on their subpar product. 👎 I hope the new jacket serves you well. Always good to see a new upload from you sir. Eric
Good morning, just, from the uk (Wales) . Nice little video mate. Not sure if they are available over here though. I don't tend to wear high viz jackets but my mate does and he certainly stands out more than me. Cheers
I like hi-viz gear, but the drivers around here are drawn to it like moths to a flame or steel to a magnet, and I noticed a large uptick in my close encounters when I wore hi-viz stuff. :)
Wow interesting, I think people are distracted by their phones and all the tech and screens in their cars that are meant to keep everyone safe. One would think that with the bright blue bike, Hi-Viz jacket, light always on and a bright green helmet , I would stand out. Maybe not. Thanks for your input mate. 😎
You have to be lucky to get the right quality for the money. Nowadays quality is not really something that would be the priority for most companies. Thanks for sharing this. Just keep up.
This is very apt as I've just returned from a week touring Scotland and discovered that I've worn both pockets out, not at the bottom but at the front. I pulled in to a little café reached for my wallet to find my hand went straight through, lucky my wallet was still there but from then on I kept it in the top box. Loved that quote about the pockets being so big you could get your family in there, great stuff. Ride safe.
@@MRTPR Fantastic trip, I can now say that our team of 3 riders was the most successful English team on the Scottish Rally..oh wait, we were the ONLY English team to enter! Also a 3 Nations award done and dusted, so well chuffed. Met riders from all over the place, even rode a couple of checkpoints with an American guy. When I pull in where there are other motorcyclists I like to say hello to other riders, I pulled in to my third checkpoint and get talking to a man and wife, turns out she was an ex local girl and her Dad and my Uncle worked at the same glass works. That was about 450 miles from here.
My first jacket was dririder origin great jacket, have just upgraded to the dririder Nordic IV more for touring. They make excellent products and reasonable priced too.
hello. Clear weather. Nice ride! Wow! nice jacket. New jackets are good. :) Bright colors are effective for safety. Heavy-duty zippers and large pockets are easy to use. It looks very safe. The affinity with the glove is perfect, too! Please stay safe. Thank you my friend.
Omg..how frustrating , Instead they do more good service and apologise ,,they gve voucher and another cost for sewing by their mistakes of quality ..! May everything is just fine😔 GoodLuck👍

I’m going to be in the same situation. My riding jacket is falling apart
Yes they really don't last as long as they should, particularly with how much they cost. 😎

It is sad when once good quality products drop in standards. Sadly it is becoming far too common of late.
Yes very disappointing ! Thank you for dropping by 😎.
Great jacket match my bike🙂
Yes I really like the design , thanks 😎
Wow, they wouldn't even replace the jacket! That's a crock!
Not the best service, really pleased with the new jacket though, thank you dropping by 😎
A$250 sounds reasonable to me for a good quality jacket. Can't believe they wanted you to get the pocket sewn up...my goodness.
Yes terrible service, I have never been back
What a shame that the quality decreased so much...
