    I'm a recent convert to riding jeans and boots that don't look out of place in a pub/evening social environment. I love them. I went with Knox AAA rated single layer jeans that are so comfortable.

    • @MRTPR
      @MRTPR  Год назад +1

      Yes I wanted something that fitted into social events more easily. The leathers didn’t really work at social gatherings. Thank you for dropping by Mate 😎

    I'm with you on the gear. In my accident if I'd not been wearing gear I'm sure my injuries would have been far worse. I do like protective jeans but not tried Draggin ones yet. Sounds like they would be a good choice!

    Draggin jeans were very popular in the mid 2000's as there were not many protective jeans available in Australia. Now we have so many brands to choose from.
    Thanks for the review, it looks like they are still a good product.
    I am currently wearing the 4SR jeans which are pretty good. I also have the Aldi jeans which were terrific value.

    Loved that cheeky smile at the end, it goes well with your sense of humour telling us your better half had to shorten your jeans by a metre and a half. 😉😂😂 Now although I do have a pair of motorcycle jeans I have not worn them in years, yes they have the Kevlar in them but I always wear my leather motorcycle trousers whether it is hot or cold. I did find that if you went anywhere, say a motorbike show or meet, you got very hot in them compared to my leather trousers, which seem to keep a constant temperature. Do you find that those jeans make you sweat if you have to walk around? Great video again, always interesting.

    • @MRTPR
      @MRTPR  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate, my wife loved the cheeky smile also. Funny enough I don’t get very hot in them, I find the leathers a little tight now, they must have shrunk 😂. Even at 57, I might grow I am hoping so with the next pair of jeans she won’t have to take so much off. 👍

    hello.
    Nice ride!
    yes. As you say motorcycle jackets and pants are very important safety equipment.
    It helps prevent abrasions on the skin on your arms and legs.
    If you wear a down jacket, the down will get into the wound.
    Jeans motorcycle pants look good. :D
    safety and health. And peace!

    I got me Oxford AAA jeans 👖 cause I don't like the kevlar linings in those types of jeans.
    Oxford & Resurgence the armour is in the weave & only weigh 13oz like normal jeans & Oxford jeans 👖 make a short leg 30" & not many brands do a short leg.I found in summer Draggin Jeans 👖 are to hot with liner but be alright in winter.What I do in winter is put Thermal pants on underneath to keep me warm.
    I got Slim cut but wish I got Regular Cut & get them next.I haven't tried the Resurgence jeans but know they use Pevtec liner sewn into weave so no liner like Oxford's which I do recommend & they come with knee & thigh pads.

    • @ruahinesrider
      @ruahinesrider 8 месяцев назад

      I also been down as you might of heard & had a real nasty accident hitting gravel on crest of hill on bend on skinny country road.I always wear all the gear had Oxford AA jeans on & armour is in weave so no liner which makes you hot in summer & they stopped road rash & thigh pads I had in worked.They didn't rip & another time a stone flicked up from 1584cc Fatbob & hit me in the shin & bloody hurt but no rip or blood.When I got home & took jeans off there was no rip or split in the AA jeans but was a rip on my shin a nasty one that took about 3.5 weeks to heal.I was impressed with the jeans that they didn't rip or split from flying stone like bullet but was in my shin.Also in heavy rain take about 25mins before the water started to soak through & many times been in heavy rain for less than 20mins & jeans wet on outside but not on inside.Draggin jeans are very popular but you do get hot in summer in them which is why I changed brands.I wear a Dririder Nordic 4 jacket & Stylmarten Rocket boots which are high cut as old Stylmarten Boots were low cut & after breaking both ankles wanted high cut.Also got me a Carbon Fiber helmet a LS2 Vector Carbon Fiber Gloss helmet which is really light as well as strong.

      Oh 😲 I also use got Dririder Nordic 4 gloves that have a wiper blade on left index finger which is amazing & find myself using it all the time to wipe off rain,fog,bugs.

    I have a pair of Draggin jeans. Full kevlar lining with hip and knee pads. Cost was about $300 from memory. The full kevlar makes them HOT in summer, and the knee pads are uncomfortable when off the bike and walking around as they catch under my knee caps. When on the bike they are comfortable but slippery on the seat - when i give it the beans I feel like I'm gonna slide off the back 😬. I only wear them when I go out and want to look less conspicuous when off the bike. They are well made and sturdy but I much prefer my "old faithful" leather pants.

    Currently have Torque Jeans, which I got from ALDI, I don't find them as comfortable as Drayko (I think they are the same as Draggin?) which I've worn in the past. The Drayko jeans had a bit of stretchiness and were super comfy, but they tended to wear out and get holes in the thigh area.
