My wife Jo was a big fan of yours , she made many quilts over the years for family members. She passed away Feb 9,2023. Still have her phone on my night stand. Still getting you videos , thanks for your time for her.
Hi, Jo's husband. Thanks for sharing about your wife. I think she must have been a great lady.
😊
Your Summer in the Park tutorial is the first Missouri Star tutorial I watched when I started quilting in 2010. I enjoyed it so much that I taught my neighbor, and she taught her sister. Thank you❣️
Me too! I started quilting in 2010 & discovered MSQC & all of their precuts! Love Summer in the Park!
I love this chain of sharing and teaching!
Me three! The original tutorial was what got me into quilting and was my first quilt in March 2011. Twelve years ago this month!! 🎉
I was into quilting earlier than the tutorial but the tutorial helped me finish my first quilt!
This was the video that got me hooked on MSQC. I think Natalie did it.
Every time I watch you, it’s like checking in with an old friend. Thank you so much!
I have made this quilt numerous times from your old video and it doesn’t matter what fabric I use it is always beautiful. I gift most of my quilts and the recipients always love this pattern. Thanks for the remake.
I made this when it first came out, it's blue and green batik. So beautiful, it's my summer bed quilt. I feel like I am at the beach! Happy Friday everyone!
Sounds refreshing
I love the colors.
Love the clearly perfect Slotted Trimmer...my new go-to tool.
The first tutorial I watched and made. Thank you. Love your tutorials. ❤ greetings from northern Denmark 🇩🇰
I made this quilt for my mom, in Cranberries and cream by 3 sisters. Turned out beautiful, she loved it.
I'm getting ready to put the binding on my Summer in the Park quilt! I love it.
That is gorgeous, and so simple to do!!!! Thanks Jenny!!!
The original Summer in the Park is one of the first quilts I made and still one of my favorites.
My BFF & I purchased yardage years ago specifically to make this- and then forgot about it. I'm going to remind her- she has a Go w/a 2.5" die, so it'll work out. Thx for the reminder tutorial!❤
Thank you for presenting this again. It is a fun quilt with so many possibilities.
First large quilt I ever made for daughter back in 2015, loved it then love it now
Thank you, Jenny, for sharing this classic beauty with us again!
Beautiful quilt.
I love this pattern as it is my all time favorite MSQC quilt. I bought the pattern and the fabric for it in 2014. I still love this pattern and have made several variations since then. Love you Jenny and thank you and your wonderful family for expanding my quilting journey.
Love your tutorials..your the best
Hooray! I love this pattern. I have made this one twice!
this has always been one of my favorite tutorials, very stunning
I was just talking to my mom about making this quilt today before you released this! How wonderful I now have a video instruction! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, looks fun, but I don’t understand the layout? Could use more explanation of laying out the rows..
Very pretty quilt. Love the short cuts with strip sets.💗🇦🇺
You are much tidier now. Makes it better to watch.
This pattern has been a favorite of mine since it first came out. I loved seeing it again in such cheerful fabric. Now I have to go make another one......Thanks!
One of my first quilts. Absolutely love this one!
This was one of my first quilts. I made it for a very young great niece and she still has it on her bed! It is one of my favorite quilts! I hope I get to make it again!
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I truly enjoy watching.
Love that fabric!
Beautiful fabric and pattern ! Thank you for the remake!!
A fun quilt on my to do bucket list. Love how Jennies outfit matched the quilt.
One of my favorites that you have done in the past and really like the redo. Can't wait to see which one you do next.
I watched the original video and then forgot about it until seeing this newer one. I think this is such a great pattern and can’t wait to make it up. Thanks for bringing it back.
Beautiful work
This was the first quilt I made. Great pattern!
I love this pattern so much. I have two Summer in the Park quilts and I’m sure they won’t be my only ones.
Good morning, thats a great pattern ❤
Thanks for sharing this is a awesome block 😊
Hi Jenny. I can see why this is in your favorite 15. I remember when you first did this quilt video and I thought “I think I can do this” and I did and I loved it. I’m just a very basic quilter but this one I could do. It was fun. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Very nice. Luv ya Jenny 💛
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This is so much fun! I’ve watched all the Summer In The Park tutorials and this one is awesome! Adding to my list of quilts to make!
I love this pattern, used it for my great granddaughters quilt light batiks, let one row of the squares out and used the sawtooth star for one row,2nd from the top. Turned out so cute, also made a pillow to go with. Love MSQC patterns!
Such a cute quilt!
I love this & the chosen colorway! Good work!
Oooo. I think I may have to make this one. I'll use florals!
That's hilarious..I was just looking that pattern up!😊
One of my all time favorites💕
I made this when you did your first tutorial in the exact same colors. Just a different pattern. Love it
I love this as I love many of the projects you put together. Steps so many projects ahead of this. An example would be, partially finished projects set aside that I really need to get done first! 😮
Absolutely love this quilt pattern!! I think I’m going to make another one for my guest bedroom upstairs!! Thanks again Jenny!
I watched the earlier video of Summer in the Park (thank you Natalie!!!) which made it so easy for me to finish my first grandchild’s quilt! I used my stash of Moda’s Tend the Earth line and had so much fun doing this! Thank you MSQ for this easy and adaptable pattern!
Beautiful! I've made several of your quilts through the years. Thank you for your tutorials.
Thank you Jenny. I was looking for a guy quilt. I think this w tan not white background would be perfect.
I am currently making a summer in the park variation for a friend. I have a king size summer in the park on my bed made from some lovely batiks!
Very pretty quilt!
This has been on my "to make" list for awhile
Thanks Jenny, very nice block!
Cozy Quilt Designs in California has a ruler they developed to cut out these triangles also.
This is the first quilt I made. Used Hawaiian plumeria jelly roll and a white on white hibiscus jelly roll. Looks beautiful on our queen size bed at the beach 😊
Such a great quilt!
It Looks so nice ! I loving it 🎉😊
Love you guys! Can’t wait to try it
Love it!
I am making this now. When sewing together the blocks the strips must line up and also when sewing together the rows. Overall, for me this has been a little more complicated than I expected it to be. Partially, I think, because the blocks are on the bias. I am having some trouble and anticipate having to trim things to make it all come together right in the end. I know that I am not explaining this well…I would love to have seen Jenny sew some of the blocks together and talk about common problems that may come up when doing that. Beautiful quilt though, if I can make it work! Thanks!
❤❤❤
I made this pattern in 2014, and JUST got it long armed quilted in Sept, 2023. I did a king size. I'd forgotten the pattern source was MSQC, but will certainly include that on my label. FUN pattern. (It's not hard, but just seemed to get shoved to the back of the line for quilting).
Would love to see remake of Double Slice video.
When did the FAVORITE 15 tutorials start? Is this tutorial the first shown?
Not sure when they started, but this is not the first. I would suggest that @Missouri Star create a playlist of these on their channel so we can easily locate all the videos. That would be a great way to keep them all in one place and would be very helpful.
@@stephiepeterson thanks I follow MSQC but have gotten out of the habit of following the MSQC forum thread. I’ll take a look at the website today
👍👍👍👍
Am wanting to make a quilt for my oldest grandson. Haven’t done one for him since he was about 9. He’s now a sophomore in high school, just got his driver’s license, needs something more appropriate for a young man. This might work in more masculine fabrics.
I'm making it with gray background and a blue batiks jelly roll for my son the same age!
Or one uses the "Strip Tube Ruler".
Thanks for the reminder - I also have that strip tube ruler in a couple of sizes - exactly where it is at this moment? Haven’t a clue!!! But I’m now going to work on finding it so,e where in a box under several beds😄😄😄😄. But - I also have my wonderful square-up rulers in multiple sizes so thst will work, too.
Please bring back more older patterns.
Do you have to have a jelly roll with just two colors or will a multicolor line work?
This pattern works with anything. I have made it with a multicolour line and it came out so beautifully.
Beginner sewer here looking at this pattern to make a memory quilt from Dad's hawaiian shirts. Would you recommend abutting the shirt strips straight end to end or at a 45 like binding? (Mom quilted so I have terminology if not skills!)
I love that iron. Is it as functional is the previous iron?
It took some detective work, but she uses a Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer A2 by New Leaf Stitches.
I know you say it’s easy, but when I look at the quilt behind you, it doesn’t look easy. I’ll continue to try…
Don't give up. You can do it! ❤️
I was trying to find your other 14 favorites. I’d love to know what they are?!
Do you have a line on your machine for the quarter inch? I don't see that that foot is a quarter inch foot... correct? You're awesome.
What is the name and size of the triangle ruler.
Looking for bee table runner 8 mts ago 2023 july
Desappearing 9 patch
Show me your quilts!
I’m so glad you’re redoing the all-time favorites! I have wanted to try this one every time I watch it. And that was a beautiful line! Maybe now I will grab a jelly roll and get sewing! 🧵
