Just cannot get enough of Summer In the Park... been doing it for years to use up all those "bargain jelly rolls".. thank you for the new re-work... and YES.. i have a ton of pillows and zipper bags from the "leftovers" of quilts...GB
I saw this tube technique and couldn't get it out of my head and low and behold I click on this video and there it is! Was meant to be. I can't wait to do this....thanks for the tip on verifying strip width!
Jenny it’s so nice to see you! I love All your tutorials and the way you teach us with so much energy, it’s hard not to follow you. Mónica from La Paz, Bolivia 🇧🇴 📍✂️🪡🧵❤️
This is an absolutely fabulous quilt! I made one very similar, but I made mine a “quilt as you go quilt”. I used one set of colors and patterns on one side and an entirely different pallet on the other side!! One side is predominantly blues, greens, creams, and bunches, the other side is predominantly reds, greens, beiges, and some blues! So we use it according to what we’re feeling that day. I’m very thrilled with how it turned out!! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials, and making me feel like you’re a friend!! 🌸💕🌷
Did you attach the batting as you sewed the jelly roll strips together? Or after you sliced them into squares? This sounds like a great idea! Would love to hear more about how you did it. Thx.
@@susanmei9980 yes, I began with a square of batting, then sewed strips to the triangle. If you You Tube “Quilt as you Go”, you probably will find the instructions for doing the double sided quilt as you go patterns. It’s really pretty simple once you see it.
Jenny, I made the Summer in the Park just recently. My scraps from it I made a 6 inch (approx) wide long strip the length of the quilt, then added it to my backing. It was very scrappy looking and added just a little pizazz to the plain fabric back. My grandson was thrilled with the finished product. I still have scraps!!! :) Now going to make this version for grandson number 6. Thank you for all you do! Wish I could pin a photo of the finished one here.
I love how you are doing the supply list now! Thank you for showing them and listing them out so we can read them. Great job! Thank you for always listening to us. That is why we come back time and time again.
I made Summer in the Park for my granddaughters graduation gift. I still have the end scraps from it. I know what I'm going to make!! I love the new version.
As always, MSQC - YOU ALL ARE ROCK STARS!!!!! I love the secondary projects you came up with the waste from the quilt. I hate wasting fabric as well so I can relate. Thanks Jenny for this tutorial!
Has it really been 11 years since Natalie made the Summer in the Park quilt? I made that one a few years after it came out and, because I was just beginning quilting, I was so nervous about all the seams matching up. I even made the exact same baby quilt that is on the wall in the background of that tutorial. The "Park" quilt turned out beautifully and this one today looks just as great! Thanks for the memories! You ladies are really helping to keep a lot of people from going crazy during this pandemic and we THANK YOU for it.
I have a couple of rolls begging to be played with! I love this pattern. Thank you for the reminder of double checking the sizes from different manufacturers. Adding to the list to do! Happy quilting! 🧵💜
Wow! What a different look with solids. The solid color really gives a modern look to the block. Personally I prefer the prints but the modern look is just as beautiful. Thank You Jenny for all the ideas and inspiration. 💖
Summer in the Park was one of the first quilt tops I made when I started quilting! It really impressed with me with how easy it comes together and how great it looks!!
Jenny, I love how you always show quilts that look difficult but when you break it down, someone like me who is a beginner feels like they could totally do this. Thank you for your videos!!
This is a gorgeous version of Summer in the Park. Kudos to showing the awesome pillow(s). They are not only adorable, but I too use all of my scraps with each quilt I make. Really please let your assistant know these are darling. Yes, I do see many of us taking this idea and running with it. Hugs from Maine along with much appreciation for all of your time and hard work for you and those behind the scenes.
Thank you for bringing back the supply list on the white background - SO much easier to read! And I love to pause on this graphic to study the block layout and size. Helps so much when watching you create it, as some are quite a mystery at first glance. Appreciate all that you and the team do for the quilting world.
I love your Tutorials, they are so addicting, and now my Want to Quilt list has grown by leaps and bounds! Thank you so much for all the inspiration that you all at MSQ give us!
i Also made Summer in the Park when,I first started quilting. It's a beautiful quilt! But THIS ONE is kinda mind blowingly beautiful. I'll have to try it!! Thanks Jenny. 😋🎉
What a fun quilt! I could see so many possibilities with this, using just 4 fabrics, scrappy, or even crazy path. Well done Jenny! (And those pillows are great ~ no waste!) 💓💞💓
I just made the Summer in the Park quilt from the original tutorial! It was so fun. I love the idea of the narrower and multiple center strips! Guess I better make another! (=. Thanks, Jenny!
Summer in the Park has always been a favorite pattern of mine. Back in 2017 I used that pattern and made a large crib quilt, then in 2019 I made a table runner and now I'm working on a throw quilt. So you can be sure I'll have to make something with this pattern too!
I started quilting 9 years ago and learnt so much from your videos. I love this design and made “summer in the park” in three different colour ways. I always used the scraps for cushions to match. Love this new take on the design 😀
Love the pillows.!!They look even better not being matchy matchy. Quilting should not be too serious.
Thank you Jenny. The solid color variation is much more pleasing to my eyes. I love the pillow scraps idea.

Thank you for showing us how to cut with a regular ruler, too. Not everyone has the means to buy every new ruler, but we still love to follow along!
