LOL, yes, definitely! I also play the game of guess how many outfits it takes to make the top. She did it all in the same outfit this time! Yikes. Talk about energy.
I live un a small village in Spain, and I can't stop watching your videos once, twice and again. I can't decide which one I'd like to make, all of them seem very very easy when you sew... LOVE your tutorials, Thanks from the other part of the world ❤️❤️❤️
Imagine owning and operating her fabric and quilting, gigantic store! And you can just make anything your heart desires. So, you just stroll down each row and pick whatever you like. Imagine that! I am so happy for you and so jealous of you!
I really like this bright colorful quilt!!! It is so cheerful! But the black background was also very nice! Thanks for the great tutorial! I have learned so much from your detailed instructions!!!
I just wanted to praise the camera person. I live the tutorials and how they are presented. But what really sets them apart is the wonderful camera work. I especially love the clips of cutting fabric, whether by rotary cutter or scissors. Kudos and keep up the good work!! 🎥
Inspiration for a new quilt! I need a new camping quilt! And, I have a serious jelly roll and layer cake addiction!! LOL. Looking forward to shopping in the store one day...
Thanks so much for all your videos - you do an amazing job - I love that you don't go on and on about stuff that is not pertinent to the subject, and that you get right to the point and focus on that.
I had bought jelly rolls for a project but then forgot the project! Now I have a lovely quilt to make after watching another of your great tutorials, Donna you are the queen of all the utube quilters, long may you reign.
OMG, All those delicious fabrics in your storeroom... I think if I ever wandered in there I'm afraid it might short out my cerebral cortex. Love your tutorials and this one's no exception ❤️
I love seeing all of your stacks and stacks of fabrics. I will never be able to sew all of the fabrics that I have in my two bedroom apartment, but I always wish I could have a fabric store. Thanks for all you teach us. If I have a sewing question I always check out your videos first. I know you realize what is going on in your part of the country, but I sure worry about you and Matt and whole family. Please be safe.
OMG all those jelly rolls😍we do not get many of them in Australia and when we do they are SO expensive😮💨.Love your videos Donna. Thanks for sharing them.
Gorgeous.🌸 I'm a Jelly Roll Person.. An Batiks Are My Favorite...😃 Amazing How The Pattern Is Different with The Halloween Colors..LOVE IT.. Thank You Donna.
I made this quilt in crib size. I used Kaffe bright colors, left over from another quilt. The oohs and ahs abounded. I told them I thought it was more the fabric designer than my sewing. Baby is now old enough to play on the blanket on the floor. The bright colors are quite entertaining.😊
I surprised myself by liking the Halloween quilt more than the florals. They are both beautiful, but the orange/black really caught my eye. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
I have followed you since I bought my home last Oct. I bought a Gammill 30 Statler with a 14 ft. table. I am a Vietnam era vet on disability with a service dog so I can leave my house. You have been a very big help to me!!!!
Hello there my friend, I just wanted to let you know how fantastic your videos are. Your simplicity pattern is awesome. My younger sister loves batman, I did this pattern with batman fabric and it turned out pretty awesome. Thank you so much
Your hair looks fabulous! It's been some time since I've watched one of your videos so this is the first time I've seen it. Nice quilting video too of course.
Our power has been out all night, I was so happy when it came back on and discovered a new tutorial from you, Donna. Both quilts are great! Now I can go to sleep, it's been a long, hot day. Thank you for all your great tutorials! I'm so proud of how much your channel had grown, you deserve a million subscribers. 💜
Donna, you are such a bright spot in our lives! During this Covid nightmare, that doesn't seem to ever end, your videos are truly a respite away from the world. Your calm way of teaching and your sweet voice help to calm my soul. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent with us!
I live in Montana and was out your way in early August. I always make it a point to stop by the shop when in the area. I have watched your videos for years and order fabric frequently. I wanted to put in my two cents regarding your decision to reopen as a brick and mortar store. Unfortunately, there will probably be a lot of shops that have realized they can go mail-order only. But the community of quilters, the people that make up our groups across the country, are social; we love to get together and talk quilts; we love to come in and browse, touch the fabric, see the samples, get ideas; we make shopping for fabric a part of our vacations. This will be a big decision for you as business owners...but I wanted you to know how much I enjoy visiting your store IN PERSON. I hope that your decision can be swayed to the "reopen" option as it would be so disappointing to know that Jordan Fabrics would no longer be one of my destination points during my travels.
I now live in Washington state , born and raised in Hawaii and visiting Jordan Fabric to shop is on my bucket list! I too visit quilt shops when I travel and draw inspiration from them ♥️
Donna, you just showed me one thing I've been doing wrong on my fan quilt. No wonder I had to keep ripping out and trimming up! I never thought about how much I was pulling on my blocks as I sewed them up. Thank you so much my friend.😀♥️♥️♥️
New setup? Beautifully arranged. Loved the drawers for the patterns and the shelves for jellyrolls. Would like to see the whole shop route. Nice pattern
Very cheerful quilt. When Donna says to be careful about the bias cuts and how it will stretch your fabric your fabric, BE CAREFUL. I am thrilled that you explained it again. Maybe my next top won’t be so out of shape. LOL thank you for the demo.
The trick is to always press in the direction of the grain of the fabric. Our muscle memory prompts us to pull the blocks side to side or up and down to make them square, but this has a very bad affect on the block! The more you try to straighten, the wonkier it gets! I have to concentrate really hard to iron along the diagonal of the quilt blocks - the individual ones and also when the quilt top is being put together.
Donna,.You are so "Hip to Be Square" with your absolutely exciting, beautiful, cool and/or stunning results with each and every quilt you make! I guess practise does make perfect.🏆 Jordan Fabrics is the proof in the pudding 🙆♀️🏆💐
Oh my goodness...your store is a dream! I would spend HOURS trying to decide on which fabrics to use. It must be so satisfying to work around all that beautiful color all day.
Donna, great job! I love both quilts. When you stand back a few feet, the blocks have a 3-D effect (particularly with the Halloween version). I just love it when I get a notification on a new tutorial from "Jordan Fabrics"! I can hardly wait to start the video. And, you do a terrific job with the tutorials; straight talk, to the point without a ton of fluff - Excellent; great for beginners as well! Many thanks to the whole crew. Lindsay, Sacramento, California ❤ 🇺🇸
😄 No matter how many years a person has been quilting, those little boo boos happen! I just recently finished a large quilt (I pieced the top half of the quilt, and then I pieced the lower half). It came out gorgeous. I then pieced the 2 halves together, and pinned it up on my design wall (which is gigantic). I sat down to take a look at my masterpiece. I marveled at it, patted myself on the back and let out a gasp & my jaw hit the floor! When I pieced the 2 halves together, I had inadvertently spun one of the halves around & sewed it together incorrectly! Although a fairly easy fix: I just had to pick out one long seam, turn a section around and re-stitch the long seam. I guess when you are sooo close to the finish line, and then you make a blunder like that, it IS frustrating. Well I got the borders (multiple) on, and I just need to quilt it. Think I'll take it to a Longarm Quilter! I've been quilting for 34 years. And yes, no matter how long you've been quilting, mistakes happen! Lindsay, Sacramento, California ❤
Sometimes I think it’s fun to have one block different from the others. And at other times, I’ve had to pick out seams to get to a block in the center that was sewn incorrectly. Depends on what you can live with, I guess.
I wish I have beautiful textile and thread like that... I am inspired by your design and creations. I am planning to start a new business of making bedsheet, curtain ,etc.
Such a nice surprise 😀. Love the videos. So calming just before going to sleep. I have been watching and re-watching the old ones, it’s part of my night time routine.
Any tutorial by Donna Jordan is great! I may not create a quilt from a specific pattern but I always learn something new or am reminded of a good practice. Thank you Donna Jordan!
Oh wow! Sooooo many fabric packs. Totally drool worthy! I always enjoy seeing what your stores look like, given I probably won't ever be able to get there. Once again, another inspiring colourful quilt tutorial. I have learned so much watching all the videos. Thank you everyone at Jordan Fabrics.

Does anyone else play “Guess the thread color Donna will choose?” I love this pattern!
Yes! Every time! 😁
Always 🤣🤣
YES and I never guess as she selects :-)
LOL, yes, definitely! I also play the game of guess how many outfits it takes to make the top. She did it all in the same outfit this time! Yikes. Talk about energy.
I’ve never heard the word “thatch” for fabric but I get why!
I get so excited when Donna puts a new quilt on line 😊😊
Meee to!! :)

The Jordan’s son James makes the videos on his phone! He does post-production editing, but still. Wow!

I have very sensitive fingertips. Can I used a seam roller (gently) instead of finger pressing?
@@kerrytrout Try the eraser end of a pencil or a blunt-tipped knitting needle.
@@kerrytrout I use a seam roller sometimes. Works great. Just don’t pull on the fabric. Good luck!

The Halloween quilt was GORGEOUS!
I think this would be a fun quilt to make. I’m putting it on my list
Amazing what a fabric choice can make!
I love both. The dark background really gives a visual impact. Warning - before you quilt the Halloween quilt, you do have a block upside down.
I think that was a design variation. 🤔😏
