- Golf irons that are golf irons, Cleveland Launcher Turbo Iron fitting and gap testing. Mark Crossfield tests the Cleveland golf irons in the Turbo launcher range to see if he could game them and what difference it would make playing such a golf iron that is a golf iron. When it comes to buying new golf irons or getting custom fir for your next golf clubs what are the features you look for in your golf clubs and golf set. If you are a beginner golfer or a seasoned golfer do looks and style over rules performance or is it a combination of both. Do your golf irons need to look like a certain style of golf club or could you change your irons to something as extreme as the Cleveland launcher irons. Let us know in the comments below what irons you play and what made you play that golf club.

Would you play them?
From past videos I know you've long been an advocate that these irons would be good for a lot of golfers. Now other manufacturers are also realising this, any chance you would do a comparison test with these Launcher Turbo irons v the Cobra T-Rail and Wilson Launchpad irons?
I remember when Cleveland released the very first Hibore iron set. I was hitting them at a shop, and the salesman came over and asked if I had any questions. I was looking for new irons. He asked what my handicap was, which was probably around a 5 or 6 at the time. “Oh, well, you can’t hit something like this. Let me show you something smaller in your handicap range”. But, but, these feel great and I’m smashing them! 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I purchased a set of the 2017-18 Launcher HBs about a month ago (4H, 5-GW, Smart Sole 3 SW) largely on your previous strong recommendations. I'm a 63-year old, 13-handicap with limited flexibility from back issues. They're the easiest clubs I've ever hit, and they make golf fun again. Put the club on the back of the ball, and it will fly. Thanks, Mark, they're just what the doctor ordered!
I really want to see a few course blogs where you play the HBs for the entire round.
Your willingness to play non conventional style clubs is refreshing. I’m very excited to see the “playing” results. If these clubs give you no more than 5 to 7 pure strikes per round extra because of your confidence boost that could translate into a 3 or 4 stroke reduction in your handicap. You must be giddy at the prospects.
Sweet! I had my daughter fit into those irons last year at our club by the Cleveland/Srixon rep. She made all Conference as a freshman on her high school golf team and got really excited about golf. Exactly what I was hoping for! I am a Huge Cleveland/Srixon fan from Minnesota in the States and am super excited about your new sponsorship! Keep up the fantastic work!
This season will be so much fun watching you with these new clubs, whatever you end up settling on! Keep these videos coming when you’re making decisions on what ends up in the bag 👍🏻
Yes, play them. I love to see you doing this. I am a 2-4 handicap and have changed to the Cobra T-Rails, which are very similar to the Cleveland Launchers, and I LOVE them. I never thought I would play "hybridized" irons, but they are so easy to hit. Why make the game harder with unforgiving blades just so you "look like a player"? Glad to see a good player like yourself is at least open to it. I don't think enough players think that way - especially mid to high handicap players.
Mark. Just bought the hb launcher set for my wife who is trying to learn at age 58. Based on reviews driven by RUclips. We will see what happens. Love that you are putting yourself out there. Also thought the footage with James Robinson was some of your best genuine content. From a long time subscriber.
I just don’t understand how everyone other than you is missing the boat on these. Thank you for the coverage.
I love it, Mark. I love it. I'm giving my one lengths one more season. If I have problems with them - i.e. chunking, I'll go with these.
Please play them Mark. These are a game changer and most of us should play these clubs.
Can’t wait to see you use these. Really need to play around with my next iron purchase and look at gapping.
I’m trying these after lockdown. Thanks guys !
I haven't played golf in 5 years, I think you've just sold me! These should really help me enjoy the game of golf again!
Very glad to see you game these. I've been waiting on a follow up from your original video on the range years ago
Being a complete amateur as a playaaa and a numbers readaaa , it’s still a treat to watch these videos. I learn on lot comparing with my own humble numbers - thx 👍
Mark I really excitied to see you play these!
This is exact vid I was looking for. Thanks so much guys. I have 4/6 irons of this club. Best club I had
