The amount of misplays by the opponent in the Liliana game made that VERY interesting. That win was great.

I remember pulling the foil box topper version of the Ghidora day 1. Biggest rush I've had in mtg next to pulling 3 mana crypts in three different mystery booster box openings.

What a game! Im barely left w a few hours for sleep but watching this suspense is totally worth it
I couldn't tell you the amount of times I've played this, Omniscience hits the battlefield, opponent scoops immediately and I only have a couple burn/counter spells in hand that won't get me anywhere. I really hope Wizards find an incentive for people to not scoop so soon and often in HB.
They should ban Paradox Engine.
Unless you have a way to interact with the enchantment then there’s no reason to stay, no matter what the opponent thinks you have, it’s blue you will get card draw and just go off, I scoop cause the times I didn’t and they clearly had the win with free spells they become toxic and just draw a billion cards but keep passing instead of win the game, so I assume that’s just how people who play that card are, they just like to play yugioh the gathering and torment the opp, shoot I even tap all my lands and pass to show I’m dead in the water and they can win with what they have on board, but you know what has happens more than not, they don’t even attack, they want to just keep playing free spells and try to combo, no point to stay so I just scoop as soon as I see it now, I may sound salty but I try to be respectful, if I have the win I will just go for it, tormenting your opp when they are dead on board is just lame imo
I was absolutely sure you were supposed to discover the formula for a lightning bolt or prismari command or something, deal 2 and let their amass kill them (right before the amassed zombie would give them 10 for citadel), though I think if they ordered Sheoldred first they might have been able to kill you before the amass. What a nailbiter!

Been running this since eldraine. All I have is ramp, tokens, a few counter spells, and a lot of draw 3/4 and big burn spells (5 or more to face). It has never petered out, even with 10 cards left in the deck. Oh yeah and extra turn spells. Always wins on the spot.
Came here to get my daily dose of CGB, but guess I'm going for the live Dominaria Early Access. Gotta come back here later, though, love the Historic Brawl content

If you want to be really evil with Simic, Uro isn't even a T1 commander, but you get a lot of tilt points when "Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath" appears under your name plate. You can build it like a typical control deck, lots of card draw and board control effects and a few combo's (or locks, I'm partial to Shipwreck Dowser + Sublime Epiphany) to close it out.
I was playing Gaea's Blessing when it was weatherlight standard.. omg, i'm old.. i just realized that 😭
That Liliana game was a crazy roller coaster. If any of you didn't watch the last game, it's so worth it.

Witness the Future is another very good recursion tool. Also, Mythos of Illuna is, in my opinion, super fun and versatile, basically never dead (even if it is expensive), and it could get you a creature token that has a mana cost.

Wouldn't hard evidence work for that last spell tutor? I'd have gone with it and cast illuna on it I think, that way you get more chances of extra turns and stuff. Gz on that last game though.
I like the idea with 3 different Draw/Dig spells in hand, but I think he's 1 mana short as he would need 3 + 1 + 8 (Mutate is 6 + 2) = 12 while he only has 11 mana.

If you had lost during the final match, it would have been so infuriating because of all the misplays by the opponent. You played so so well against the odds there.
You had the exact mana to go Solve the equation -> Hard evidence -> mutate illuna...then beetween the Eureka moment-discover the formula and silundi you could find something...or maybe not?

I actually built this deck around ramp and huge creatures and its so much fun.
Check Ali's video about Sliver combo is also pretty cool. You just need 3 Mythic cards
U could make rejuvenation better by making the deck worse by addin mind control effects
What I hate about most black decks in historic brawl is that they tend to be slog fests of discard and removal tribal.

just so you know CGB seeking cards causes you to shuffle your deck you said you needed to shuffle after putting omniscence to the bottom but you seeked so you actually didnt need to cause you seeked :)
Seek does not shuffle, it just randomly grabs cards from the deck. Since there is no manual searching involved, no information would be gained and thus shuffling is unnecessary.
