I love the flavor of your win condition. Niv gets curious = death. Appropriate magnitude for a dragon of his caliber.
My first ever deck when I started playing Arena used 4 wildcards (All Niv) and then just a bunch of common and uncommon instant and sorcery spells. It was a great deck that was able to compete in Standard while I accumulated wildcards. Pretty hard now to find a decent deck with so few rares or mythics.
I typically play Golgari but I'd like to thank you for all the information you give about all colors and cards.

Niv Mizzet was the first Arena card that I fell in love with! I always loved Izzet decks, but Niv Mizzet was just on a different level entirely :D

I have played with it and took it out, felt like it was not needed.
Turns out, you CAN do too much of a good thing
You need mana rocks for engine
The manarocks you need for engine don’t draw you cards off niv
Love the HB content. Singleton formats really challenge deck building skills and learning to play around a wide variety of strategies and cards

I've been enjoying the competitive historic brawl a lot. Happy to watch it any day of the week, and I look forward to Fridays.
I know showcasing decks is part of your brand, but the first cHB introduction you gave made me think that part of what you might do in the cHB series is stick with a deck and refine it over time. I'll watch whatever you put out, but I enjoy seeing the tuning process, and especially seeing you play decks you *love*, not just new ones.

I have a paper commander deck with the old Niv mizzet (The fire mind) that’s all about drawing cards. It’s one of my favorite and it’s my first commander deck i ever made, so it has that little bit of nostalgia. Btw the fire mind is a 4/4 with “tap draw a card” and “whenever you draw a card niv mizzet deals one damage to any target” and no I don’t play anything that gives infect or anything like that as I don’t have any nor to I buy singles

Ahhh my fav colour combo, and one of my fav commanders. I personally prefer Firemind, but he ain't on Arena
I have played this deck before and had a great time cuz I had smothering tithe on the board and that one card that gives me x 1/1 lifelinkers lol I went down to 3 life and had like 20 treasure and cast it on there end step and slammed out my commander (jetmir) and just won lol
CGB - i'm not a fan of brawl but these latest histoic brawl videos have been really enjoyable with fun interactions and combos. Really enjoyed the video. Everytime i played Brawl it just was "who got mana screwed/flooded" and the other person won.

Presuming that there really is a 50/50 chance of being on the draw versus on the play, 20 times on the draw in a sample size of 27 is a 0.66% chance. Quite low odds to say the least!

Beginner's question - If I was to play this deck and I never played Historic Brawl, am I going to go against "hell queue" decks or vs decks of people with similar experience?

We really need ranked historic brawl. I have this really interesting 5c Golos storm deck where I just stuffed all the artifact strom cards from various colors into one decks but most decks I play against are like niv or baral. Hopefully If we got ranked historic brawl than we wouldn't get those games and it might actually be fun to get to mythic.
It would be the same, if there was ranked. People would only play the best commanders.

Based on those stats we can be 99.332 percent confident that the play draw ratio is not truly random. Granted this is 3 games short of a significant sample size, but it's pretty close.
