i'm not sure about his, but when i worked at olive garden, after about 5 pasta bowls, they start splitting them into smaller infinity bowls,. the pasta and soup technically isn't endless because we have to take like 10 minutes to boil and another 2 to chill the fett, and up to 45 minutes for some sauces and soup lmao.

Also one of my favorite bits is when you tell us in front of the grass narrating something and then immediately after in the challenge you say the exact same thing, gets me every time haha

This is not relevant to the video, but I just wanted to say that I go to McDonald's a lot, and usually order my drink without ice, because they're cold out of the machine and I figure I get more beverage for my money. But last week I ordered a lemonade, in the middle of the night, and the guy asked me if I wanted a cup of ice because the lemonade came out warm. He didn't have to do that. But he noticed and cared how I'd feel about that. He saved me from a warm beverage and I really appreciate it.

the middle of the night part of this video is so relatable. i worked late night at mcdonalds during the weekend back in college and there's really something about being sleep deprived and eating old fries. it's hitting rock bottom in a way never expected.
9:14 The difference is one cheese
Mcdonalds likely shut off the ice cream machines at night time because there is a lengthy cleaning process, and the alternative to shutting them off early would be for the store to pay multiple employees (won't leave someone in the store alone) an extra hour every night after close just for the purposes of hanging out and cleaning the machine. Similarly, any place open 24 hours has to shut it down for a while to clean regularly.
Makes you wonder why it isn’t cleaned in the AM (when most people aren’t ordering icecream)
@@BC-bf9qs I'm talking out my ass making assumptions at this point, but I imagine it only can operate for so many hours before needing to be shut down for cleaning anyway.
I'm guessing 24 hour places only run it during expected peak hours (lunchtime through to late evening dinner) shut it down and clean it, and then number of icecream orders past that point wouldn't make it worth reopening it and cleaning it again in the morning.
@@Karragh My sister worked at mcdonalds and her reasoning for saying its broken or turned off, because they usually don't feel like refilling it again or too lazy. So they say its turned off so they dont gotta do it
I worked at McDonalds. Every Monday was cleaning day, so it would go off after the dinner rush.
The machines were also liable to break or they would lock themselves for different reasons, including user error. So we'd tell people it broke when it entered it's heat cycle

As someone who works at McDonalds, the difference between a McDouble and a double cheeseburger is a slice of cheese. A double cheeseburger has two and a McDouble has one. That's literally it.
