also adjusting the AGC Auto Gain Control helps with grainy footage! it is set at auto and always washes out. I was actually concerned with how grainy my initial shots were, BUT as soon as I messed with the settings I found the solution as i stated!
To access favorite settings you can move them to the display screen using the My Button feature to just touch and set. very convenient!!

My mac is a late 2009. If I change the file format to XAVC S HD. Will this allow me to edit a 2hr event without the lag.

I have a question about the image stabilization. I tried this camera and as I had it turned off and walking with it in my hand I could feel something rattling a little.
I think it the image stabilization mechanics moving all the time. Do you feel that too or is something wrong with the camera?
Great review however I am trying to transfer some pictures to my Samsung S5 from my AXP33. However the camera doesn't display it's QR code which is a requirement for PlayMemories Mobile. The app doesn't scan the QR code on the leaflet hence i couldn't use wifi function. I read somewhere in their website that QR code is not supported by this handycam, so to use your smartphone as a control or to transfer pictures you have to use the NFC function, however i couldn't see anywhere were i could activate this function so that the NFC icon could be seen in the LCD. I hope you could help me with this as i want to utilise it's wifi capabilities. Many thanks

Strangest thing; in 4 K i can only have 24 or 25 frames pr second. Do anyone know why some have 30 and some not?
Some just don't support 30 fps
Its PAL and NTSC difference. In EU and most of the world we use PAL with 25fps. In USA they use NTCS with 30fps and both versions have 24fps. If you shoot 30fps in EU you get flickering from the lights as the electricity is 50mhz. This means the PAL version get 24, or 25 or 50fps and the NTCS version get 24, 30 or 60fps.
