Thank you very much for your effort. This was the best video yet that shows what this camera can do. I especially liked the way you showed how you could get the bokeh, because this is usually associated with DSLR's and not camcorders (unless you want to go for a "pro" model. I am also going to have to try the manual focus to get this effect or see if there is spot focusing for this. I just bought this camera about a month ago and will post some of my experiences with it soon.

Did you shoot this video in 4K mode and downsized it or in the 1080p mode?
I'm hesitating between this Sony FDR-AX33 and the Panasonic x920 (3mos, 1080p).

J'aurais une question simple à laquelle Sony France & Europe ne peuvent me répondre depuis plus de 4 mois: Est-ce que la sortie HDMI est active lorsqu'on enregistre en 4K? Au USA, cela fonctionne avec le modèle AX33, mais en europe je ne sais encore car l"AX100 était dans ce cas: Au USA ok, en Europe pas de signal en sortie, cela pour avoir un retour vidéo.

FLYVIDEOM drones Je crains que non, mais j'aurais bien voulu le vérifier... Or je n'ai plus le modèle pour vous le certifier. Mais je l'aurai peut-être de nouveau pour un test très différent.
***** merci tout de même, il y a bien la sortie composite avec le câble VMC-15MR2, mais est-elle active également pendant l'enregistrement en 4K ? Enfin, Sony n'est pas capable de répondre à ces 2 questions... il va falloir acheter et renvoyer si cela ne va pas...

Why didn't you use the nightvision mode to show us? This is a feature that doesn't exist in lower priced Sony camcorders
Do you mean "nightshot" ? Yes you're probably right, I thought that everybody knows the green picture of nightshot (it's a very old special effect since the 90's) and it was not necessary to show it. You have an example here from Craig Shipp : ruclips.net/video/HfrCsXei6cw/видео.html

L absence un manuel utilisation du Camescope. axp33 manque. ..je ne parviens pas à me souvenir si ai connecté le stabilisateur pour 4k. .. et je ne parviens pas à pouvoir retrouver son bouton ou réglage. ..pas plus de trouver la connexion du Rolling shutler si quelqu'un. peut me dire suit preneur... georges.brunet9@wanadoo.fr. ? merci de avance...

Je monte mes vidéos (juste avec des simple coupe ) avec Vegas pro 11, un utilisant un rendu Hd 1080p cela réduirait t'il la qualité d'enregistrement 4K ?
non ça diminue juste la résolution par 4

Bonjour, je peux simplement dire que le AX53 a bénéficié d'une mise à jour après sa mise en vente, optimisant ses performances. Pour les différences, les tests sont très détaillés et permettent de voir les différences en fonction de ce qu'on préfère ("Meilleur" ne désigne pas forcément dire la même chose d'une personne à l'autre). Merci.

How long does the battery last?
That completely depends on your resolution and whether you're shooting pictures or filming. If you're filming in 4K, it's not going to last as long as a lower setting like 1080p. I bought a second battery and a battery charger. If you're serious about what you're doing, you're going to want to invest in at least 2-3 extra batteries for it. If I'm shooting timelapse, I leave the side panel shut and just use the viewfinder. That makes the battery last longer as well. You also need a fast SDXC card for it (mine writes 90MB/s).
Got some good sd card 2 64Gb speed was around 100 i think.got 2 new battery's.The only problem is night vision you really can't move with it otherwise it tear's so much.
marco streng The night vision setting? I haven't used that much. I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to get it to film low light.
Would it help if you had a stabilizer? The Slanted Lens RUclips channel has a really nice DIY over-the-shoulder rig stabilizer that you can make out of PVC. I made one and it works great to reduce shakiness and the jello effect. the video is called "Making a shoulder rig for a DSLR Camera: DIY Equipment" if you're interested

Even the slightest movement will cause it to stretch/tear.Making it unwatchable i can hold it still enough for a clear picture but once i move it's fucked.

If you download my video in 4K, I don't know what you do with this maximal quality. When I upload the video in 1080p, I have a better control about the reuse of the video.
