- BEST Affordable Diver & GMT! I Bought the new ZELOS Mako v3 | Know This Before You Buy | Automatic Divers Watch Review
The models I have in the video are the Sky Blue Diver, Aventurine Diver and the 'Timekeepers Edition' GMT with Malachite dial (exclusive for the Facebook group).
All the new releases include the fantastic new packaging which is a three slot watch roll. The new bracelet and clasp is amazing and I did compare it to my Tudor Black Bay 54.
Which is your favourite of this new launch from Elshan Tang and the Zelos brand?
Please leave any comments or questions below and follow me on IG.
Thanks for checking in :)
Great job. Enjoy them all.
Thanks, it's hard to pick a fave!
Received the sky blue Mako today and I absolutely love it. I usually prefer dressier watches who aren't as thick as this one, but Zelos really caught my eye.
Sky Blue was one of my favourites from this release. Enjoy it!
Fantastic review buddy ❤
Appreciate your support!
I picked up a Frost GMT. I’m very happy with it so far, and I unintentionally wound up with the rarest watch of the launch!
Great choice! Very clean look on the Frost
excellent review. you have two of my top fave 3 in the series. the crushed orange is missing.
Thank you for watching! The orange is cool too
@@TheLumeRoom yes its really cool i don't have much of a need for GMT as i feel they are unnecessary so the orange instead of the malachite green would have completed my collection even though that green is spectacular
I have the teal titanium mako, but man that ice blue one is gorgeous. And they went fast!! Another killer dial from Zelos
They always do a nice teal! Yeah the Sky Blue got snapped up quick
@@TheLumeRoom Seriouswatches still has one available if anyone here is still interested and located in the EU.
Great review. By the way, the elasticity of the pillow cannot exert enough tension to stretch a metal bracelet-not physically possible. What causes bracelet stretch is dirt, grime and filth combined with movement: the friction wears down the metal pins and housing and causes gaps and increased tolerance… bracelet stretch.
Appreciate you watching! Many thanks
I 100% agree about the watch roll and the pillows. I absolutely love the watch roll itself but the pillows are WAY TOO HARD! There is no give whatsoever and when I sized my watch it would no longer fit on the pillow. I hope Zelos gets feedback on this and redesigns the pillows.
Let's see what happens. Amazing packaging all the same 👍🏻
I picked up the mother of pearl GMT. They've pretty much perfected the mako line with the new clasp. Only thing I'd have liked is maybe a hardness coating and lose a couple of mm off the height. The crystal is too pronounced imo. The pillows just need a good squeeze to break in on first use. I don't have any concerns about strain on the bracelets and mine are sized down to only 6.75 inch😂
The MOP looks great too. Overall amazing package
Nice review. I like Zelos and their dials, but to make a 16mm thick watch is a little bit to much, especially when Traska is giving us a 12.2 mm thick watch powerd by the same 9075 movement.
Thanks for watching! My measurements include a domed sapphire crystal whereas the Traska measurement may be case only without crystal (I'm guessing it's a Traska website or press release measurement?)
@@TheLumeRoom I own Traska Adventurer GMT with 9075 and I did measure it, including the boxed crystal, resulting in 12.2mm thin😊. It's well known that the 9075 is a thin movement, when I saw the Zelos dimensions I was surprised.
@Florin Oglan The Traska only has 150m of water resistance, whereas the Zelos has a depth rating of double that at 300m. The Zelos is also $150 cheaper.
Don't think I forgot about that promised final lume shot 🤣
Does the lume differ on the Aventurine & Sky Blue?
From what I can gather, the Aventurine uses C3 for everything besides the second hand tip (BGW9)
From photos I've seen on the Zelos Timekeeping group, the Sky Blue seems to have BGW9 indicies but it's difficult to judge as they're fully charged and still photos.
Haha, the divers have identical lume.
These two are my favorites of this batch. MALACHITE TK edition and the " Sky Blue" the best.
Great choices! There's no bad option to be fair :)
which one is your favorite?
I'd possibly say malachite
There is a problem here. They are all too nice so it’s difficult to pick only one 😂
I hear ya!! Fabulous release from Zelos and so many great options
Will Zelos stock the mako edition again? I don’t seem to find any of the Mako watches up for sale.
I don't think so. They are all limited pieces.
They'll probably bring out new Mako watches but they seem to never repeat the dial. Which is very much a pro in my opinion. Limiting them makes them desirable. Seeing how quickly they sell out every time is proof of that.
Guilloche? thats a sun ray with a bit of fume dial mate. I think guilloche is a different patern
Zelos is the absolute top.
Signum is next(my opinion)and microbrands in general are the real deal.
It's Guilloche textured dial, as per the Zelos website
