    second js whiffs vs smol chars like gio so u gotta use jh and route a bit differently

      Late reply but how do I route midscreen against smol characters? I can get a combo in the corner with J.h > delay J.d but I can't get anything midscreen really

    I was doing this in the corner with a Otg 2p into JP to auto time the JS and doing the same mix. Now it's time for the Otg mid screen fuzzy

    Very cool, thanks for sharing. I love your specific tech you share on your channel.
    Wondering if people are able to do the the same OS inputs for safe jump and high route on hit/block or if you have to commit to the high route (not safe)? For example if you go for otg cS into jS into 2K while blocking, this is a safe jump and combos on hit. However, if you go for otg cS into jS jump cancel, you are not able to block the DP? The jump input only becomes airborne jump cancel on hit/block, so against DP (jS whiffs) the jump input turns into a standing jump upon landing which is unsafe and prevents you from fuzzy blocking the DP. I'm pretty sure this interaction is the same across the board for other chars with the same set up but just wanted to ask in case I was missing something.
    Basically you can auto pilot the safe jump into low route (also catches backdash), but the high route is not safe to DP?

      In some limited labbing I was able to OS DPs fairly consistently. If they DP, the j.S whiffs and you land into ground block before the hitstop frames when you'd jump cancel. Pretty tricky execution but it's definitely possible. In any case no one's going to DP the set up in a longer set after you safe jump them twice and take off 70% in the resulting punish combo

      ​@@ram_apologist I was thinking about this sort of thing--that it might be possible to fuzzy jS block jump, and if executed properly you may be able to whiff jS into block or jS into jump cancel in time. In my practice I wasn't able to get the jump cancel while simultaneously blocking. Just for an experiment, I even tried doing jS block back jump, where you would be holding back for the entire duration you were in the air. The problem I get is if the jS whiffs, the jump input registers as stand jump once you land, so it doesn't matter if you're blocking, the moment you land your character goes into jump startup frames and will get hit by DP.
      If you are able to consistently OS jS whiff into block / hit into jump cancel, I'd love to see a video demo!
      But like you said if you just go for the safe jump after landing that should already be enough deterrent for them not to DP, so it's strong even if the high route is not DP safe.

    I think using j.H to setup the fuzzy is better
    If they (deliberately or not) get hit crouching by the first j.S then the second whill whiff, whereas the groundbounce on j.H makes it connect if they get hit

      I noticed that I needed to do j.H on shorter characters also because the j.S would just wiff on every rushdown character except millia

    I am trying to lab this right now and I can’t seem to hit the js on shorter characters should I delay the js in the air and risk a counter hit or should I just approach it differently instead of the js?

      Apparently (according to another comment) you gotta use j.h and route differently.

    So I tried doing the safe jump after grab in practice tool and set Ky to either Vapor Thrust or backdash and I can't seem to get the timing for the c.S after landing to catch the backdash. It seems like to catch the backdash I have to c.S at a time where I can get DPed. Does anyone have any recommendations for timing the close slash to catch backdash while still getting the safe jump to avoid getting hit by DP/Super?

    Fun fact, this doesn't work if the opponent is face down for whatever reason, so it won't work off 2D or Danzai.

      It won't work directly after 2D, but you can just go into rekka after 2D and do it from there, though probably you would combo instead in jealousy. She does at least still get a safe jump after rekka knockdown in normal

      in all honesty, no. This is a niche thing that will be used by players that are usually higher level.

    I have trouble going the first jS so low that the second jS and jH connect... is there some trick? Not very good at jump cancelling like that.

      I'm using j.H. if you want to use j.S you can immediately whiff j.P to auto time the j.S

    This only works if the opponents was standing on the first hit. If he was crouching on the first hit, the 2nd hit is going to miss. Tried it in game and labbed it as well and I can confirm. If you see the opponent crouching on the first hit, do not jump it will wiff and you'll be an easy victim for counter punish.
    You can save yourself last minute if you roman cancel in the air but yeah...

      It doesn't matter if they're crouching if you start with j.H instead

      I'm not understanding what you mean. How is the opponent going to be crouching on the first hit? The whole point of the falling jS after the OTG cS is to make them block standing so you can high/low from there.

      I think tiger pop posted a variation of this from awt but gobou is the first person that's been doing it consistently in matches
