Wisdom Patience Empathy Kindness
Serenity Clarity
Break out Break out
Turn the key to a world untold
Life is a maze woven with words
BLAH-BLAH, BLAH-BLAH-BLAH, BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH!
Sick and tired
Normal or not, no big deal
I'm just a quirky note in the symphony

It's it's it's worthwhile
Bothersome
At times, it's kindness
Depressed Sickness
Those are virtues of mine!
Courage Integrity Purpose Humility

I think that’s a big part of why GG appeals SO intensely to me. I’m autistic, and I guess I always felt like this world wasn’t “built” for me. And here’s the cast of Guilty Gear: a bunch of fucking whackos, all striving (ha ha) to DO something.

(please keep in mind I love Numora's work.)
At first I thought this was a comment about music theory
"Finally got marriage counseling with my key, now I'm still insane but okay with that" is probably one of the more normal character arcs in this series honestly
Also, that drummer sounds like he got something personal against that set for how HARD he's beating it lol

And oh hallelujah
Fun Fact about A.B.A., she originally appeared in the spin-off game Guilty Gear Isuka and got ported to XX. Her theme in Isuka was Quicksilver and in XX it was Keep In Gates, both composed by Masaomi Kikuchi. Strive makes it the first time her theme was done by Ishiwatari himself
What’s cool is that he incorporates little pieces of each of her previous themes in this one too! Seriously a complex piece for such a cool character
And even wilder then that, she wasn't even DESIGNED by Daisuke himself...instead she was the baby and the first real character design of legendary fighting game god Mori Toshimichi...the man who would make Blaze blue.
Its why Aba seems so different and the line 'quirky note' hits so hard. She really is a 'quirky note' in that she is Mori Toshimichi's baby first and foremost. A 'blazblue character before blaze blue'.
Given how the lyrics are and how Mori famously left Arc Systems Works after the failure of a blaze blue mobile game...I want to imagine this song is Daiske wishing Mori love and respect given they grew up together and famously got into gamedev because of their love a unnamed-to-this-day girl in college.
@kyokyodisaster4842 pretty sure it was just her design
@@kyokyodisaster4842 That's not true, it's a common misconception but there's literally no proof that Mori designed ABA. Everything points to her being designed by Daisuke like almost every other character in the series.

@@richieco4624 Enjoyment is fine. But saying "top 3" is a qualitative statement beyond just saying they enjoy it, so its perfectly reasonable for people to bring up contrasting viewpoints at that point.
People talking about ‘blah blah blah blah’ being erroneous while missing the point of a song about the value of words and what their meanings impose. Classic GG community.
GG fans will miss anything that doesn't have Baiken-level titties plastered on top... I am also a GG fan, so I'm included.
It's also comedy. Jokes are far from a foreign concept to rock and metal, due to the writing styles both generally use.
That being said it's still fun to make fun of it. That means said joke landed
1. How is it "erroneous."
2. People can understand the meaning of something and still call it bad.
Bold of you to assume that songs from this game have a meaning 😂
@addison_v_ertisement1678 yes, but it's pretty difficult to make an argument against it without just saying "blah blah blah" is stupid. it sounds good from a musical standpoint, and is fitting from a songwriting standpoint. getting bothered by it feels like splitting hairs.
then again, you don't even know the meaning of the word "erroneous", so i guess i can't expect too much from you.
Many songs in Guilty Gear Strive remind me of the "Spy Kids" and "Sharkboy and Lavagirl" films.
One moment you have the most profound phrases possible that make you reflect on life and other times you have things like "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"
"Do you think god stays in heaven because he too fears what he has created."
Out of everyone that invents the lightbulb, there is one who creates the atom bomb!
(not the exact quote because I don't know it.)
HA HA HA! You’re right! You’re so fucking right…

Badguy and Geargirl
"I'm not here to fit in this world, I'm just here to make a difference' is such a profound quote that I love dearly. I mean, it feels so perfect and just makes me fall in love with it. That quote alone makes the song into my most favorite of all.
Holy shit, I just realized that A.B.A

I love how "I'm not here to fit in this world" quotes a part from The Wall about the way our systems stifle and crush invididuality and humanity. Hell yeah A.B.A. do your freaky thing.
Hey, it’s even got the leitmotif
I love how the lyrics sound not like a love confession but as someone who struggles with opening up finally coming to terms with their emotions
A.B.A feels like if I (and maybe other people with OCD can relate to this) was just to let every intrusive thought manifest. In my experience with therapy, you’re told to let a discomforting thought, like not holding the door open for someone, happen and to brave your anxiety. It’s meant to show you that even if that distressing thought occurred, you’ll be ok. So, something about A.B.A being ok, being motivated to make a difference, really resonates with me. I feel empowered by this song, and how it expresses A.B.A’s personality, her determination to keep moving forward.
As someone who also has OCD, as well as being autistic, I fully agree! I find this song really encouraging, too.
Fun fact: Aba's VA (Anna Brisbin) cosplayed ss her!
Hearing this, I could swear Daisuke has a message to some of the players.
If you like up some of the songs together it creates an overall message.
To me it'd be
1.Necessary Discrepancy.
2. Symphony
3. Armor Clad Faith
4. Play the Hero.
Line those up, and it creates a message to the NEET and hikikomori types. Which is something like "Go out, it can be painful, but to not is the same as death. Don't be hung up on conforming, and fight for yourself. Have faith, and try to help others."
THIS is Daisuke's Vision
Underrated comment
its not really about neets specifically, like half of the soundtrack is about the whole cast feeling like a bunch of misfits and trying to find their place in the world. The entire theme of the game is characters striving towards something, whether to leave a path for others to follow, to build a better life for themselves, or to just make a difference.
Plenty of people from all walks of life will find a way for this message to apply to them, the reason it works so well is the music explores the same general topic from many perspectives.
As someone with autism, this song really speaks to me. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm part of this world. I feel like a quirky note in a symphony of people.
I agree with you. Im autostic too, and some times i felt impossible to comprehend, even for all the things i wanted to share with people. "This music brings back memories"
-John Paracelsus
I really like this song, I like the distinction between more standard common virtues and the more traditionally negative ones claimed by the singer (presumably A.B.A and/or Paracelsus), which as time goes on both seem to come together towards the end with love becoming a maze as well. This song is both hope for one's ability to change and find connections to others, as well as a denial of conventional understandings of what one should be, and I think it's quite interesting. Even the commonly mentioned "blah-blah-blah"s are fun as they initially seem to be the incomprehensible expectations enforced on people, but towards the end as the singer and their companion join together they instead "shout" and form their own expectations for themselves. In that sense this song is not a rejection of boundaries, but instead a declaration of working together to create ones that actually relate to the subjects, and function on behalf of the involved parties
An excellent breakdown. I love this interpretation of this song since it's kinda what I had gathered from it.
Love your interpretation :)

“I’m not here to fit in this world, I just want to make a difference.” I knew I clicked on this song for a reason.
What I take from this song is... A.B.A is without a shadow of a doubt, completely and totally with no chance, desire or recognition... for being fixed................. good.
"I am no here to fit in this world" the... sincerity of this statement is refreshing and inspiring in a way, don't know if A.B.A was ever "normal" in any point of her life, but if the GGST theme songs are the characters most deep and honest opinions and feelings... A.B.A has no desire to be "normal", she is perfectly and sincerily happy being herself.
But at the same time... the rest of the song "hints" at a much bigger desire inside her, a desire to influence and affect the "world" around her.

YES. @@squill4883
@@squill4883 He absolutely does. It’s well documented that Daisuke loves American Classic Rock and it’s referenced all over the place in Guilty Gear, both in the music and in many other things. Fun example, Sol Badguy, our main series protagonist, is actually named Frederick Bulsara. Sol Badguy was an alias he gave himself after becoming a Gear, referencing the title he had been branded with “The Corrupted Sun”. Frederick Bulsara is a reference to Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the rock band Queen, which is Daisuke’s favorite band. Freddie Mercury was a stage name, his birth name was Farrokh Bulsara, so Daisuke merged his birth name and stage name into one for Sol. In fact there’s Queen musical references all throughout the Strive Soundtrack. Drift, Happy Chaos’s theme, literally has a break in it that sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody.

I'd say only Drift and Let Me Carve Your Way beat it in emotional endings but by god is this damn near immaculate
They’re all perfect to me at least
"I can fix her."
The girl in question:
Ive been waiting for this one, I never put the non clouddrop uploads in my playlist
yeah, I've watched another before this one came out but the lyrics didn't match with the sung words or were weird. Idk how Cloudrop doe sit, but they'r ethe only one who gets the lyrics right.
@@tgdevourerActually Clouddrop gets the lyrics wrong more often (for the DLCs). The S1 vids were made before official lyrics released, and we don't have official lyrics for most of the S2 and S3 songs.
I think The Kiss of Death, Mirror of the World, and Just Lean have the most mistakes. The Gravity is just incomprehensible to everyone lol.
If you want more accurate lyrics, Capnbrooker makes good lyric videos too and updates them (for example we got some Just Lean lyrics from Naoki and they've been updated)
@@chryspyr will we have official lyrics eventually? I really like Just Lean, do ya know anoyne who got the lyrics right for that?
@@chryspyr my myth has been busted, but thank you man
4:13 "Let's shout shout, Let's shout shout, Let's shout shout shout!" Easily me favorite part.
CLOUDDROP! DROP SLAYERS THEME AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!
4:35 Drummer going absolutely insane
Singer having an emotional awakening
The first half is already amazing, but that second half tunes it to another level. No wonder this is my favorite
1:20 I love how this part is basically just "I can fix her" in lyrical form
Chipp failing to get away at 2:02 is funny
Bro’s a ninja who can run as fast as a car and yet he still couldn’t outrun her xD
That crazy girl adrenaline pops off
damn, the sync is insane. Good job
I was listening through the entire playlist on my way to spring break trip I didn’t even realize this was posted till it started playing a great surprise to start my vacation
The amount of times you got the combos to line up with the beats in this one... Truly superb editing work.
Finally it's out in this channel
Aba looks like she pulled an all-nighter doing a dozen assignments she neglected to do until the last minute.
Anyways, I main the shit out this character
Every time it got to the depressed sickness part it just scratched my brain so well
This gives me mad 'Drift' vibes and I love it
I really like all the subtle allusions to alchemical concepts in her design. It’s cool!
Also, Jesus woman, get some sleep! Your eye bags are worse than mine!
Im interested. What allusions to alchemical concepts are in her design?
@@preceptorseluvis5704 admittedly, most all of my knowledge of alchemy comes from watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. A.B.A herself is a homunculus, a being created artificially through alchemy. The name “Hohenheim” is written on one of her sleeves, referencing a major figure in the history of alchemy. Furthermore, Paracelsus is the name of a French alchemist from the early 1500’s.
1:20 GREEN PENIIIIIIIIIIS
Let's not
Agreed
ITS WORTH THE WHILE!!!
BOTHERSOOOOOOME
AT TIMES IT'S KINDNESS
I love how the track is already a week old but people still looking foward this edit ❤
Clouddrop is my only reliable source of Lyrics no matter how official the others are.
Holy shit this song is fantastic, this song might be the final push for me to buy the game
Welcome back, my friend! It's been a while since we last saw you, and boy... did this comeback feels good - with a banger from the Guilty Gear: Strive soundtrack too! Like, "Symphony" is such a crazy song; it's all over the place, Naoki-san did a really great job with the vocals, and it marks the return of A.B.A after 20 years... it's good!
This is personally my favourite song on the ost. Ofc most songs in strive slap, but there's just something about this one that I love so much. May be there's some bias because I love literally every aspect of this character and she was the reason I decided to pick up strive again, but honestly I think this song just slaps and I'm a sucker for piano.
Finally, i can add it to my playlist!
The ending of this song is the most godly thing I’ve heard in a long time….that piano and the hose lyrics are just a chefs kiss to the actual person they both are as characters as well….
