I enthusiastically agree! I daresay it's destined to be one of the most iconic parts of this game. Fighting sirens as they keep singing, "drown!" is something I didn't know I need in my life until yesterday!

when it got revealed that the sirens were the one singing throughout the level and it turns out they're in a band and each of them is responsible for each instrument so when one of them got knocked out they lost one of the sound, I understood why supergiant went for a sequel.
Scylla also gets muffled if she shuts her shell during the fight. Thought it was a nice touch.
She also loses her place and stops singing temporarily if you hit her shell while she's in it.
reminds me of pokemon black and white 2 roxie’s gym (they even share the same name!)

This studio has like one of the best art departments in the industry. Every single game's soundtrack has been awesome and surprising.
Darren Korb and Jen Zee go unfathomably hard every time.
And they are delightful human beings. Darren is one of the nicest people I have ever met.
Legit though. Roguelikes got some seriously good art people on board. Hades is by far at the top, with Risk of Rain 2 and Enter the Gungeon right behind in terms of art directive.

Scylla and the Sirens is a truly legendary boss! The fighting was great and I died the first time because I was so charmed by the music!
Ifirst timed them hard with the Apollo/Hestia duo, but damn, I wanted the battle to last even more, I didn't want them to stop singing, SO GOOD

Darren Korb has gotta be the best VG Soundtrack composer in the market right now. The attention to details of this whole soundtrack (that isn't even complete yet) as well as the overall tonal shifts and ever changing time signatures propel him so far above the competition.

SuperGiant doesn't miss. I freaking loved experiencing this boss for the first time. Even when you die to the Sirens, the theme changes to a rock theme instead of the usual one. THIS IS HOW YOU PUT LOVE INTO YOUR GAME
Also the fact that this is the same voice actor for Snow White in The Wolf Among us is just fucking nuts.

There really, truly, isn't enough praise for the talent that is Darren Korb. The vocals on this are of course also fantastic, and the song as a whole is extremely memorable (and frankly too distracting while fighting), but Darren really is a genius.
This is what making a game is all about. Creating these kind of experiences. Reminded me of that particular boss from BG3. Kudos to the team. Genius work!

I was thinking "this is so awesome!" The entire fight, as I'm getting my ass beat. The haunting music getting clearer and louder as you make your way through Oceanus; the boss track losing elements if you knock out one of the other sirens; Scylla's band mates being called Roxie and Jetty (top-teir punning); the track being an absolute banger of a song and the overall atmosphere of the fight is just amazing. Great job Supergiant for making a tough boss fight super engaging and really fun, even when you're losing!
