This is quite possibly the best setup that I've labbed for any character, not just in GGST but in ANY game.
Safe against most reversals

When I pulled this tech out at my local, my opponent audibly said "what the fuck?" lmao (and then I proceeded to drop the combo 💀 lmao)

Remember to delay your crossup normal a tiny bit to avoid cross up protection (214P is attack level 2 with no hit stop so you need to hit 14F after the bird connects)
This takes some practice, but try and make sure that your 214P PRC comes out as fast as possible. The later the RC is, the more time your opponent has to walk back into the corner
Timing for wake up reversal before meaty fireball connects is really awkward, so most opponents likely won’t be able to wake up super without practicing the timing anyway. Gold burst is ESPECIALLY hard here since it’s a real just frame
Successfully blocking the cross up means you have to block the crow same side AFTER the PRC screen freeze and quickly block the other direction
Vs I-No super, 5P is the most consistent option to stuff the follow up
Sin, Anji, and A.B.A. are still in range of 2H even with no micro dash, so you can keep further spacing if you read a reversal. However, Sin backdash will be safe (but he still has to hold 2H)
You can make Nago’s lvl 0 blood Wasureyuki whiff if you don’t micro dash
This is one of the most grimy yet exhaustively labbed setups I’ve ever seen and it’s on a honest mids character. Good shit

@ahnixcreations ohhh felt. I hate my own voice too. for stuff that's pre-written, I've found that recording Microsoft Sam or some other tts reader can be a good & fun alternative to get around that kinda thing. though that does require, like, scripting . which can be equally difficult jshdbfj

Hey, I’m not very good at strive (yet). And I want to learn some basic safe jump set ups, with Test, before getting into all of the more complicated set ups. If you could do a video on that I would really appreciate that, if not, could you give me some ways to learn how to find safe jumps, thanks a lot❤

The range on their supers + super PRC is the only redeeming features haha. If my reactions are super on point, sometimes I try using calamity one to punish fireballs on neutral which is nice, but other than that I would be happy if they just made it a pinch faster at least lol

Thank you! Unfortunately jumping actually won’t work since you’re affected by the PRC slowdown, so there’s only at most a 3-4F gap, so crow will hit your pre jump frames if the setup is properly timed. The good news is that 2H is a mid though haha.

cant seem to do the microdash 236S. any tips? like is it a microdash or a small walk i cant tell
It is a very small micro dash, if you aren’t already, try inputting it as 236 > dash macro > slash. The input is very similar to a kara cancel grave reaper.
If it still doesn’t work you can try figuring out the timing piece by piece, see how early you can press dash macro during the throw animation recovery and the buffered input will still come out, and once you have that down you can try with the 236S

So this explains why I have been getting my ass non-stop handed to me by low level testaments for the last 2 days.
I would say great work for finding this, but everyone else has already said that, so instead BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I JUST WANTED TO PLAY THIS GAME IN PEACE INSTEAD MY BREAKS OFF WORK WERE RUINED BY THE THEY/THEMUSSY I AM OM THAT COPE PACK.

More seriously, there are soany possibilities here. I wonder if 88fprc whiff j.p into airdash mix is safe? It might not be but if it is then thats some meter efficiency
Of course, once they start looking out for the airdash mix, thats when you pull out the 214P fprc 214S/H
I eonder if you can get a sneaky crossup here as well by doing 214P FPRC 214K
With all these things to look out for, this oki situation is so powerful
It definitely won’t be safe bc you lose the PRC slowdown effect for your gaps and blockstun, but I do think it adds to the mental stack anyway and makes everything that much harder to defend against. Lots of possibilities!
Cool. I tried it out and it looks like instant air dash delay jk and delay air dash jk hits on about the same frame, with realistically around a 3f gap.
I'm a bit worried about having to do jk for front side though, as it would probably lose to 6p. Would have been nice to go with jh to have an option that is safe and punishes such attempts, but js and jh can be ducked which makes it whiff and land you in the corner. :/ but I guess they still have to guess right so shouldn't be too bad.
Also it seems like dp:s will mostly hit your air dash if done after the prc, requiring you to hard call it out. Maybe not ideal against dp characters 🤔and I worry a bit about jumping into the corner and probably having just spent all your tension 😥
Still very nice to have the option to whip this out, especially since mixups from corner throw usually don't lead to much damage. 👍
I've been doing something similar from 5S crow in combos, going into 8-jump delay jk or immediate jh, which looks quite ambiguous and hitting much like this crossup. Can be done from second crow in the combo as well if you dash cancel it. It actually works very often, so that gives me confidence that this will be hard to block as well.
Good stuff :) Do you know the gap between the crow hitting and the jS hitting? Is it possible to mash in there or use something like 6P>FD OS
Hi! The gap depends on a lot of different factors, but iirc, if you do PRC at the fastest timing and your opponent holds neutral back, there's about a 3-4F gap, but keep in mind that your opponent is affected by PRC slowdown as the crow hits. The gap is a bigger with no RC
If you're godlike, you can nail the timing down with air dash FD fast fall into an aerial that hits deep enough that they can't 6P, especially since it's possible to only leave a 1F gap between bird and normal if you really have the timing down
Edit: take this with a grain of salt, but iirc the gap is around 10F with no RC. However, if they try to swing into you with a button, they'll usually extend their hurt box and get hit a bit sooner
