Recently purchased the 2024 Ford F150 STX off road 5.0 10 speed super crew with 5.5 bed and tow pack and LED lights after owning a long line of Ford, Dodge and Chevy/GMC trucks. I am ecstatic about this truck I paid 46000 for here in North Dallas. Great performance, looks value. Ford is my go to vehicle and I recommend it as the best and safest daily driver. Shop around and hold out for the best deal and remember you aren’t going to buy grandpa’s truck at his cost any more.

Yeah I keep hearing how the EcoBoosts are unpredictable, unreliable, etc etc but I just hit 105k miles on my 2016 2.7. I bought it used with 51k miles for $29.5k and when I first got it I drove it like a maniac teenager.
No major issues thus far, just a temperature sensor ($54) and a hard transmission shifting issue (about $300)
I have a catch can on it, cold air intake, Eibach front shocks and Rancho rear shocks. I change the oil on it every 3-4k miles. I throw it on the occasional trail on the side if the road here and there.
Im lucky i havent had any major issues w how careless I was w it at first.
The power is more than enough, when I'm hauling and helped folks move, you dont feel like youre hauling/towing thousands of pounds. I helped my brother move twice, my gf move twice, i helped her dad move twice, i never felt the truck struggle w anything.

I ordered the 23 F150 Tremor with the 5.0 last year, so I have the 3:73. I also have the Torsen, 360 camera, gun safe, under seat storage, a bed mat, and not a lot else that wasn't standard on the Tremor. I like that gauge cluster, which is what I have on the 401a, and I like the stock Tremor seats. I wound up paying almost sticker at 68k, but I've been happier than not so far. I'm averaging about 20 mpg over the last 8-9k miles but that includes a lot of interstate head- and cross-wind driving in west Texas, local driving in NM, and mountain 2-lane driving in CO. This last tank registered 21.4 and calculated 20.9. I had one tank on a CO trip to Denver that was around 23 if I recall correctly. I was going to supercharge it right after I bought it, but the mpg, the fact the local parts folks seemed kinda clueless, and fact it already ran pretty darn good has given me pause. Maybe if I win the lottery tonight, I will buy another one and do that lol. Peace, Love!!

Ford F-150 STX 5.0 with Sport appearance is the best value saving you over +$7,500 over an XLT. The XLT options aren't worth the price difference and the STX looks so much better. STX deletes all the chrome except the wheels, even the headlights are smoked.

Good review , I’d like to correct a few errors, that Coyote is a 4th generation, not a third . Third gens we’re 18-20 and had 395 hp and a real oil pump. 4th gens have 400 hp ,and a rubber oil pump belt that’s designed to fail, and your statement about it being perfect is wrong because other Fords with rubber oil pump belts that ride in the motor oil have been failing earlier than ford designed them too and taking out the engines when they fail,so it’s not perfect . It does sound amazing, and it definitely rips .Ford is pushing the Roush blower not the whipple , the whipple is better imo but That warranty would be different.

Wish I could plop those down into the Raptor with those springs instead of leaf suspension, to maximize smooth and comfort of long highway drives. In any case, can you tell me, other than the purchase cost issue, taking money out of the equation, what advantages if any might a fully loaded XLT offer over the fully loaded Platinum? Any functionality differences, other? Thanks.

Have you considered the tremor 401A package? Basically an xlt version of the tremor. Comes with cloth and such

The problem with the EcoBoost engines is one they're a headache when they break, two they cost a fortune to replace turbos as well as exhaust manifolds and of course Camfasers, and three they lack soul and character of a V8 as well and not to mention that they aren't very reliable at all (especially when you compare to the legendary 4.6L SOHC 2V Modular V8 in the Ford Panther Platform (Ford Crownvic, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Car)).

The 5.0 or 302 has been around for decades. The simple tech of naturally asperated engines, durability, and available mods on a proven winner makes it an easy choice for me. If boost is your thing. Boosting this 5.0 is very easy and gives insane results that any v6 falls short of. New tech is good after the kinks are worked out, but matching new tech with a proven 60 year old champ is the smartest thing any company can do. The older blower, cam, intake, and other mods have consistently made the 302 a monster for hp and torque. It is so hard to beat a good old V8. True American muscle should never become a thing of the past. Adding the right tech to these jewels makes them unbeatable all around. I say bring back the 428,429, 460, and 540 for the super duty and apply this tech to them. Just for fun bring back the 390 and 400 for outrageous 1/2 tone trucks.
