- want to play final fantasy 7 remake without constant stutterring on high end hardware? here ya go!
this simple change in nvidia control panel solved All stutterring issues I experienced! I've played for hours now without a SINGLE STUTTER!
EDIT: DISABLING HYPERTHREADING IS NO LONGER NESSESSARY!
so far it seems as if my fix alone solves all stutterring issues on higher end hardware. I've played about 5 hours so far since re-enabling it and all seems fine and no different, so the improvement was only when using default nvidia settings.
don't disable hyper threading! Игры
Oh my god, this was really helpful Thank you! Your video deserve 10000x likes for the hint :)
A very helpful solution. It didn't solve all the scenarios but most. Thank you a lot.
Your welcome! Also be warned once you get into dlc, expect lower performance. it wasn't supported on ps4 or ps4 pro becuase of its increase in detail after all, remaining exclusive to ps5.
Just grabbed this off of steam today. Major difference in the opening movie once I did this. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! Glad I was actually able to be useful for once lol.
This was very helpful thank you. I am running a 3090 rtx with a I7 10700k. The stuttering was driving me nuts. Tried your idea and the game is running flawlessly now. I am also using driver 472.12. I will not upgrade drivers now that nvidia decided to take away image sharpening.
Bro your f** awesome you deserve many likes for publishing this you just got 1 more new subscriber. The stuttering was driving me crazy... I can confirm this fixed my laptop 2060 and my desktop 3090.
Thanks so much! So glad my obsessive nature with trying to get games running as good as possible is helping people for once lol.
Plus every other youtube channel that does this takes so long to get to the point, asking you to like an subscribe and little quips about their lives thst nobody gives a shit about, they just wanna fix the game and play it as quick as possible, so anytime I can do that, I will!
Oh wow what a difference i can run through sector 7 and actually enjoy it now lol thank you so much!!!!
I'm shocked! This method worked perfectly! I'm running a 1060 6GB OC and yes it's working hard but it's running 10 degrees cooler now! I was also getting really bad tearing until I turn the vsync on like you did. Thank you so much for these tips!
Makes me so happy thos video actually helped so many people! For once my obsession with graphics proved useful!
It’s smooth like butter now, and on max settings ❤ Thanks bro, I thought my PC was shit for a second 😅
Hey thanks for this vid! I knew there was gonna be some sort of contol panel settings that I would have to change to get this running smoothly and this was it! It's sad that Square has such a poor track record when it comes to porting their games to pc.
I bought final fantasy 7 on pc on launch day back in the day...you think thos was bad? That game required you to have a specific brand of videocard just to play it, a 3dfx card and NOTHING else would work period. Also, if you didn't have the specific type of sound card (remember those?) It wanted, the music and sound fx would be all sorts of fucked up. Imagine hearing ff7 music if it was played back with shitty midi files on a website from the 90s and that's a good approximation.
However if you had high end sound gear like this one card I can't remember, it could route the midi signals to audio gear or something crazy complicated but you'd end up with the most incredible midi music ever...Basically like having a professional music creation program use its power instead of the extremely limited yet timeless soundtrack of the original. All becuase the Playstation used a modified version of the sound chip the super Nintendo used (Sony designed it if you didn't know, it's why it still sounds like a Nintendo final fantasy game).
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL Oh damn that's crazy stupid lol. But yeah I wasn't gaming on pc's until like 2015 before that it was just all consoles as a kid.
Dude this totally worked out, I think I just needed to put my "Low latency mode" to ultra and have "Vertical Sync" Use the 3D apllication. I have no stutter at a smooth 90fps on 4K Ultra settings. Appreciate it.
My man! appreciate you! this fixed everything!
Thank you for this guide. I'm going to configure that right now.
This actually worked. Thank you so much! Altho it does lower the fps from 120 to 90 ish, still better than choppy frame rate
Wow. Thank you so much my friend. Did it without too much hope, and your trick fixed all my stutters. RTX 3080 and 5900x here. I was desperatly waiting for a patch from SE. You deserve praise, and this solution should be widely spread as it is a game changer. Again, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I know how frustrating it is to spend all that time and money on a pc gaming setup only to have a game your excited about not work right on a setup more than powerful enough to run it properly.
Then when you look for help online all the videos are three times longer than they need to be,talking about shit nobody cares about like "PLEASE LiKE AN SUBSCRIBE!" but all you want is to fix the game and start playing it with the little bit of free time you've carved out of your day to play.
Im just glad there were other people lookin for the same thing lol
Straight to the point thank you 🙏
I HATE it when channels make videos about fixing game issues that end up nearly 10 min long when they could easily get straight to the point and not waste everyone's time, so this Is my tiny way of making the world slightly less shitty, lol.
Glad it helped ya!
For me this worked really nice. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
playing FF7R on my 3090 kingpin no issue here.. Don't understand why people have issue hmmm but I'll adjust the settings too just for the hell of it, thanks for the video man
Its a mixture of display types, refresh rates and the developers doing a shitty job at adjusting to compensate for these variables. That's why some people have no issues, and some have tons of issues. People I've talked to with ultra wide displays can't get the game to look right at all apparently.
On a 3090 thiugh you should be able to brute force your way through anything, but I would be curious to see what your gpu usage is while walking around the slums area before using my fix. I'd be surprised of it ever jumps above 20 percent if your at 60hz lol
This worked for me and I only have a 2070 Super. Thanks!
It seems to have worked, i am not in the slums yet but the frame drop at the very beginning seem to be gone. Thank you.
Amazing, worked like a charm 👍
Neat, worked. And reduced heat + power consumption to boot.
I can now play in proper 60 FPS for my 60 FPS screen intead of having to let the hardware render 90-120 FPS nonsensically to get half fluent gameplay.
It boggles my mind how SE can fail this spectacularly at the frikkin basics of making a video game.
12700K / 3080 12G @ 4K
This actually helped! Thanks you.
@nativemind0311 you mean they STILL HAVNT FIXXED IT?! I havnt replayed the game since I made this video and was thinking of playing through it again and I'm flabbergasted that this fix still applies!
Glad I could help!
I gotta say it's so depressing that most people aren't going to be aware of this, especially when it makes such a big difference. Square enix could fix this issue in an afternoon!
damn broo, it work!
Big Thanks!!
Thank you, finally I can play this game stutter free!!
Glad to help! I'm still blown away that this hasn't been addressed by the devs!
Look for my videos when the next games come out, I'm willing to bet it will have similar issues lol
Mate, this helped me out big time. Can't believe I continued playing this port for nearly a year with ineffective fixes before stumbling upon your video! What a difference.
Aw man I wish you could have known about this for your first playrhrough! You only get to play something for the first time once, and square Enix robbed you of the intended experience :(
Let's hope they don't make the same mistake with their next pc release
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL Nah man, I first played this on the PS4, though I expected the PC to perform just as well with upscaled graphics. Still enjoyed the hell out of the game thanks to the modding community, and I must've completed this 4x by now, but I do wish Square did a better job with this PC port. What a slap in the face for PC gamers.
Thanks my dude 🤓🎮👊
Just want to say this trick did wonders for me! Am on RTX 3080, i9 11900k. Solid 60 fps in game, no stutters, not even in Slums or Wallmarket. BUT, I still experience random stutters in the cutscenes. Any suggestions for that?
Hey @SEXCOPTER, Did the New update help with the stuttering at all? I didn't know if you knew. Was that update suppose to fix the Stuttering?
wow ,thank you so much , it works on my rtx 3060 ti even at 4k settings ,but this gpu only capable of running 70fps at 4k. Still worth it ,i didn't know this card surpasses ps5 lol.
Edit : places with alot of smokes and light bloom will drop it to 45 fps, most of the time is around 60 to 70 fps.
Glad to hear it! I've also noticed that particle fx are the main cause of fps drops (besides the stutter caused by frame buffer shit that my fix solves). Even on my 3080 there were a couple of Frame drops here an there during the crazy end fight and it was due to particles being close to the camera, classic issue vsync can cause unfortunately, dunno why but its always been an issue in games.
Also be warned,, I just started the dlc and it was originally a ps5 exclusive(ps4 owners missed out since it uses more detailed environments, like the slums section for instance in the dlc is twice the size it seems, and I've seen a split second stutter when going from one side of town to the other, and other random split second stutters, nothing that lasted for more than a second and usually only occurring every half hour at the SOONEST, but if your on a gpu that's slower than mine, you could play the entire game with no issues and then get to dlc and I'm worried it might run poorly.
If you think about it, respond after you try it out and let me know it works on the slums town area. I hope I'm wrong but I fear the stutterring might become an issue for a 3060 owner (especially when yufie does her crazy attacks with the particle effects out the ass everywhere may Tank your performance. In fact use the photo mode during a particle heavy scene and you can move the camera around with game paused to accurately Guage how much of an impact it as.
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL the stuttering still persists at the sector 7 slum , only enable dx11 fix 90% of the issue ,otherwise on combat dx12 has no issues with your settings.
This worked. Also, you're pretty funny.
thanks for this,. works like magic,.
Txs a lot man!
100% fixed on 3090 ti + i9 12900f. Smooth as butter.
Sadly this fix didn't work for me I give up tbh no matter what mod I use, or control panel setting I get stutters at least I tried to do what a company that makes video games failed to even do anyway oh well thanks anyway for the Vid glad it's helped so many :)
Locations: Sector 7 Slums Stutters, Sector 5 Slums Stutters, Wal-Market Stutters anywhere else runs fucking great just those towns I get stutters in specific parts of the towns which at this point I can live with.
PC Specs, R7 3700X @stock, RTX 2070S Gigabyte Windforce OC 3X, 32gb's G.Skill CL16 @3600mhz
Edit: and my Vram stays around 7.5gb's yet Utilization still sits between 1% and 10%
Same here, running a 3080Ti, stuttering everywhere no matter what I do.
@@oxfordking yeah it's a problem that apparently square could have fixed easily if they just listened to epic apparently on a basic setting to use in UE4.
damn bro ty!! solve all stutterring
The Ultra low latency mode plus vsync eliminated about 90%+ of my issue - I'm using a gtx 3080 - Thanks!
What refresh rate and game settings did you use if you don't mind Mr asking?
4k resolution full screen with max graphics settings 60fps - stutter pretty much gone except for barely noticeable about once every 20 seconds running around slums - using up to date nvidia driver - I suspect the remaining stutter is dynamic resolution changing
I'm on GTX 860M and these options aren't available to me. Do you have any advice?
I'm using an Nvidia RTX 3070 with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700, DX12. Still getting stutters in the first chapter. Any help? Going to see how I install the Dynamic Resolution mod...
crazy, this fixed all my stuttering on a 1060, i wonder why that is...TY
Thx bro ! Run flawless to on 3050 rtx i5 7600k whitout downgrad the graphics
It worked for me thanks! By any chance have you experienced extreme LAG on Aerith's House/Flower Field? i go from 120 to 30 FPS on that zone :c
Not sure, my refresh rate is 60hz on my display but despite that I don't recall any scenes that made it drop below 60 other Than for a second.
It might be the transparencies causing the slow down. Multiple transparent textures or objects ontop of eachother has always been a problem I'm 3d engines.
Mabye try messing with triple buffering on vs off, and manye setting the texture options in nvidia control panel to performance
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL Will try that thanks! I also have the HD textures mod installed so maybe that can be the cause?
Thanks a bunch man! This worked for me like a charm.. buttery smooth now just like the optimized PS5 version (60 fps steady no drops in any scenarios even at crowded town like Wall Market (Don Corneo's chapter)
I'm using RTX 2060, intel i7-9750H, 16GB RAM
Also used Dynamic Resolution Disabler Mod from NexusMod
Been trying to modify .ini file to force the game running with DirectX11 but screen tearing issues appeared and made my gameplay experience even worse than before so i changed it back to default DirectX12 & applied your method. Thanks again, really appreciate it!
Glad to hear it! I'm literally watching the credits roll on the game, and performance remained perfect the entire time on my setup, and good lord what an ending it was!
It truly is a perfect remake for FFVII... Did you use Dynamic Resolution Disabler Mod though?
Or everything's perfect with just your method??
@@ImanoSPutra I used the disabler to keep it at a constant 4k resolution and I raised the resolution of the shadow maps, ssr, and lod distance a bit as well

Here's what worked for me with dx12 enabled: play on SSD.
Hello there, have you seen any lightsaber laying around here?
I have massive framedrop to 4-5 fps when I encounter a boss/enemies with Yuffie since yesterday.
the gpu utilisation is down to 5% too
After the fight it`s back to 120fps
What could be the reason?
Hmm, I've only had access to 60hz displays, what gpu are you using and what resolution? Also is this during the yuffie dlc? If I'm not mistaken,it has some visual features that the base game doesn't have, and it might be just enough to cause this issue.
That massive of a drop and recovery to me sounds like it's runnin out of vram temporarily, but I'm just guessing.
I'll have to try this. I didbthe whole engine ini bs and it made it worse, but reducing my res to 1440 and having stuff on low (I think I can toggle texture to high) has kept a mostly consistent 60fps but there have been dips to the 20s. I'm using a 1060 atm. If this smooths it out more I'll be content. Otherwise I may refund and get it during tax season from an upgrade
can u help i cant find my problem when im at cloud's flashback or vision im at like 1 fps or something, i put -dx11 and -fullscreen it doesnt work
Sorry, I have no idea how to help you with that. If it's only happening at thay exact spot while the game is perfectly fine, I suspect it might have something to do with particle fx getting close to the camera.
I've noticed the one thing that makes my gpu usage shoot up is particles close to the camera, especially if they use alot of transparencies.
Did you follow the instructions in my video? Becuase my fix doesn't use -dx11 in fact get rid of that alltogether and the -fullscreenmode option.
Open nvidis control panel's profile for the game, and go down to latency and select ultra. Also change vertical sync to on.
Copy the exact settings shown in my video and if that doesn't work, tell me what your gpu, cpu, amount and type of ram and what kind of hard-drive your running the game on
The only problem is I use an AMD graphics card so I have to find out what the equivalence options are in the AMD control panel.
I wonder why the vram usage doesn't change much when I changed the resolution from 4k down to 2k? Is this just the way that this game works or I need to restart the game? I'm using 3060ti with 8gb vram
btw your solution did help a lot, thanks
Its just laziness on the developers side of things. Square has always been notorious for lazy pc ports. Honestly this is among their best pc ports, with ff15 being the best, with the exception of the mmorpg, I've heard nothing but great things about it but have never played it myself. Guess that shows you were their true loyalty lies, with the almighty dollar lol
Everytime I load up the game I keep getting a low level fatal error. Please help man!!
Damn I have updated my gpu drivers today and this doesn’t seem to work anymore…
What dynamic resolution scaling mod do you use that you mentioned in your video?
i need to edit it and change that, not long after i posted it, there was an update that made the fix irrelevant. no need for it now.
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL thanks :) so the dynamic resolution is disabled by default if I cap my game at 60fps in-game?
@@richardgouws i capped my fps to 60FPS it doesn't look blurry but the game a bit stuttery, searching how to fix the issue and someone on steam forum says set fps to 90 or 120 could fix the stutter issue. idk haven't tried it yet

Will this work on crack version too
I followed all the settings and instructions but my GPU is still peaking at 25% and is just around 5% to 10% wth is wrong NVIDIA!!

worked for me . I7 with a 2080 super
Glad to hear it!
thanks!!!
this works with anothers games ???
What about radeon user ? I have rx 570 4gb
can you make a video on downloading the mod to disable dynamic resolution?
Yep but it will take awhile to upload since I can't get highspeed internet where I live, but I'll get right on it!
In DX12 mode Ultra Low Latency does not do anything at all. That mode does not support Vulkan and DX12, but it does support DX11.
V-Sync would do something, but it depends on how the game handles V-Sync internally. If the game is only playable in windowed mode and doesn't have a traditional FIFO V-Sync behavior then control panel V-Sync could indeed smoothen out what you're seeing provided the user is able to consistently reach their target refresh rate. I'm just guessing here, but assuming the game just used LIFO fast sync (what windowed mode usually is on windows) then yeah, that kind of V-Sync is super jittery looking and driver v-sync could help.
Shame this game doesn't have an exclusive fullscreen mode RIP or the build in option to disable the dynamic resolution scaling behavior it has.
Regardless of why, this absolutely makes the difference between stutterring during gameplay and cutscenes and never stutterring a single time across the course of the entire game. I can honestly say I've never stumbled on a fix that was this absolute in solving the issue since this means it's a relatively simple fix for the company to do themselves, they just can't be bothered to care though.
I actually bought the original ff7 for pc when it came out as a preteen. Took me over a month to earn the money for it, only to find out it would only run with a 3dfx based card and mine was something like powervr, so I had to wait almost a year to get a new videocard. Sadly this is still par for the course when it comes to square pc ports
so what do we do to fix the problem?
@SEXCOPTER_RUL hello buddy ! My pc has RTX 4090 (nvidia) and core I9 14900 KS , on direct X 12
can I have 120 fps at 4k Max settings , no need to disable Dynamic resolution & what about loading time is it 2 seconds or 1.3 ?
Please help me !
y is my gtx 1660ti no low latency mode?
@SEXCOPTER RUL If you don't mind me asking, why did you have to disable Hyper Threading for this Game? And did it help at all? Was the game not working Flawlessly for you just by changing the NV Controls? I guess I am just confuses on where the idea for disabling the Hyper threading came from and if that actually works. Thank you so much in advance for your answer Brother
Actually it seems you don't have to disable hyper threading IF your using this tweak.
For whatever reason, disabling hyperthreading seemed to lessen the stutter but didn't fix it in anyway.
I've played for about 5 hours now since re-enabling it and it seems you don't need to disable hyper threading with this tweak!
The main part that fixes the stutterring has to do with changing the latency option to "ultra" which changes how the drivers sends frames from the cpu to the gpu to be processed into frames displayed onto the computer.
The stutterring bug on higher end hardware is caused by the game not giving the hardware enough work to do, and when it suddenly needs something it takes it a split second to boost up to the speeds needed to do that task, leading to a stutter.
Before doing this fix my gpu usage was as low as 1 percent in the slums, but rotating the camera would cause spikes of usage up to 20 percent, and then drop back down to practically 0.
With my fix it let's the hardware use all that extra power to be prepared to render anything the game throws at it, in lamens terms or rather the best terms I know of to explain what I think is happening lol
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL You are so right. I think those changes in the NV control panel fixes the bulk of the issue. I have an 3090 FTW3 Ultra paired with a 10900k overclocked to 5.1Ghz. 32 GB of 3600 ram so I am in the same boat you are. Disabling Hyperthreading lessens the stutter also but only by a little bit couple with the other settings, I tried that also. I see what you mean. So would you recommend turning it back off?
@@mikebluphi3794 if your using my exact method then yes keep hyper threading enabled. It doesn't affect performance in anyway once you use my fix. Are you still experiencing stutter even after making the changes I showed to the final fantasy 7 remake profile in nvidia control panel?
Becuase I've had a flawless experience ever since discovering the latency option which solved my stutterring completely. In fact I've unlocked developer console and started changing graphical options past max settings like ssreflection resolution and and shadow maps and lod draw distance and still never see stutters or frame drops at 60fps 4k resolution
Have you checked to see what your gpu usage is like in areas where you experience stutterring? The root of the issue for me was the game not being able to give my hardware enough work to do in order to keep up with sudden requests for data, and my fix is based around thst theory so this might be a make or break moment for this fix lol
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL I noticed your Initial NV Control Fix pretty much fixed 90% of my stuttering in the game. While walking up the first Fire Escape stairs in episode 2 I notice a good size stutter while walking up the first flight of stairs, but when I disabled Hyperthreading, that good size stutter became a little stutter. So the stutter was still there with Hyper Threading Disable but it was a lot less noticeable. I turned the Hyper Threading back off to see if walking past that part would be noticeable again and it was. So turning Hyperthreading off for me Helped just a little bit more, but I like you think its not really necessary with the other options but it does help to be honest. I have the 120 option enabled with HDR Enable on a 144hz Gysnc Monitor from Asus, the $2000 one lol. Like right now I have the Hyper Threading Disabled because I like the performance a Tiny bit better with that off to be honest. But I wouldn't have know any of this if I hadn't stumbled upon your Reddit page. Brother you are a God Send for real. How do I beef up the other options like you did through Unlocked developer console? How do I download that, is that on Nexus Mods as well? And can you put a video up of the Graphical improvements when implementing the new Graphical Options?
if I switch to dx12 again won't all my mods stop working? I'm a real noob at all this stuff so not sure how it works XD. Also if I have already installed all the other things to "help" stopping the game to stutter should I remove it? Thanks alot.
I believe mods works only on dx11
lifesaver
I’m still experiencing micro stuttering when walking around. It will go down at 52-55 for a sec and then back at 60 again. It’s like it is loading assets when going to a new area. I have RTX 3060 mobile(85-105W) and an 11th Gen Intel processor. I can run it at max but the micro stuttering bugs me
is it running on a ssd? it also might be the relatively underpowered mobile version of the 3060. i remember being hugely disappointed by the mobile version of the nvidia 285 chipset back in the day, and i even had an SLI setup in that laptop. that was when i learned it may share the same model number, but its performance is not comparable to its desktop equivalent.
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL Yes it is running on SSD and it's not underpowered, it could play most AAA games of today. The only game that I am having a hard time running smooth is Detroit Become Human. thats becuase this fix only works for high end hardware, the 1060 is an ancient relic at this point, and the only way to get it running smoothly in your case is gonna be by taking drastic measures like running at 720p on the absolute lowest settings. sorry :(

@@SEXCOPTER_RUL read should use -dx11 -fullscreen to fix Sutter can do test with these settings and see fix bug to.
@@morobest5351 are you a bot or did a phone touchscreen keyboard murder your comment becuase I have no idea what your trying to say lol.
But assuming your advocating someone actually use -dx11, the only people that should would be someone on a laptop or low end desktop gpu, and then forcing vertical sync in your respective control panel (amd or nvidia) profile for the game.
If your on an nvidia 1070 ,2060 ti,or 3060, then disabling dx12 is just going to disable the fancier lighting, introduce screen tearing (which is just as bad as stutterring in my book, I would stop the game immediately and tweak to fix it before suffering that shit again lol).
Lastly, I'm not sure but I think dx 11 might use different texture sets but I never tested this myself but I think digital foundry touched on it.

It's obvious the vsync setting is disabled in the game and there's no option in the game to enable it. In my experience, all games play like crap on multicore CPUs if vsync is disabled. My fix for EVERY pc game is disable vsync and enable frame limiter to match the refresh rate of the monitor, then optimize the game settings so that the pc can maintain the fps that your frame limiter/refresh rate is set to.
I use vsync on nearly every game I play....lol. I can't tolerate screen tearing period, and I don't have a gsync compatible monitor unfortunately.
Realmente funciona!!!
Christ. I have a 3060ti and can run this above 1440p with no issues at all. Thanks. Didn't make realise that it was a weird CPU issue. What a daft bug.
Glad this is still helping people out! I know how frustrating it is to spend a shitload of time and money on pc gaming only to encounter some bullshit problem that only exists due to poor management by the game developer themselves.
Also I'm a bit disturbed that this issue still exists at all, you'd think a Company as big as square would give a shit about one of their most highly regarded franchises, but I guess not lol.
with the price of 90$ square should make an update to fix it themselves :L
Do you absolutely need to lock at 60 ?
No, i don't think it should matter if you go above 60 as long as you have the horsepower to handle it
No, It shouldn't be dependent on 60hz although I havnt tried it myself,as long as you have the horsepower for it you should be able to go higher and avoid stutterring for the most part
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL i've tried those settings unfortunately it didn't fixed the stutter for me, only fix is to use DX11
@@asryan7582 what cpu and gpu are you using?
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL 5900x / Strix 3090... Should be all good, playing at 4k /120fps but still having thoise annoying stutter, except if i set it on Dx11 but it means no HDR
I have Asus g14 with 3060 can You help me?
Sorry, the only reason this fix works is becuase the game isn't pushing the higher-end hardware hard enough and it results in stutterring when loading assets and shaders, so this fix is basically like brute forcing the gpu driver to give it more work to do, and it smooths out the stuttering.
A 3060 should be able to run this fine theoretically but I'd have to have one to mess with before I could come up with a solution, sorry. You might be better off doing the opposite of this fix, and minimize the number of frames being prepared ahead of time.
Bro... Did you face the vent bug in Chapter 16...?? Where you get thrown away below the air duct 😂
No but I'm dissapointed that I didn't lol. Did you happen to play in dx11 mode by any chance? Bugs like that can occur when vsync is disabled depending on how the implemented physics system.
Like skyrim and fallout 4 for instance, if you disable vsync without limiting frame rate and something else I can't remember, anytime you opened doors that didn't lead to a new area would cause every object in the area loaded to behave as if an invisible hand just slapped everything all at once lol
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL I tried it with both DX 11 and DX 12... It still happens and yes i forced Vsync on via NVIDIA Control Panel while running it in DX 11 mode...
The thing is that it's really weird I mean you didn't face it while me and like many others faced this...well i got to bypass this issue using this console mod from NEXUS, but still it's really annoying and the new update v1.001 didn't seem to fix this...
PS. running it on GTX 1060 3GB...
@@dipjyotichoudhury8816 i think your GPU is outdated.... My guess
@@zherwinalcaparas1421 You might be right...i mean it's GTX 1060 3GB...launched in 2016...still it's a peculiar bug... I mean you might get graphical corruption or the game might crash...but this kind of bug is simply annoying when the whole game is running fine with good framerates...
@@dipjyotichoudhury8816 at least we get to play the game... But better beef-up your gear man.... FF7 REBIRTH is just around the corner....
Will this method work on a 2080ti?
It should. The reason the game stutters on high end hardware is becuase of how the engine is configured, this fix is basically using every extra bit of power the gpu has thats going to waste becuase of some minor oversight\laziness on the companies part.
So theoretically it should work with literally Any hardware that's got power to spare.
dLc still have issues
0:17 NOPE already a non-option. I have a 5700XT. guess im gonna have to try harder to get this lazy half assed port to run
Amd's version of nvidia control panel type interface has the same sort of option I assume, not sure why you couldn't do the same on it.
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL sorry i was being salty. its not you, its square.
anyway, AMDs launcher is kinda poopy ngl. It doesnt have a lot of stuff nvidea has. it did have an option to enable vsync however. (nothing on that latency mode tho) The cutscenes seem to lag for me no matter what, but i got the gameplay to run smooth by disabling dx12, and installing 2 mods. and the cutscenes are at least half watchable now. thanks anyway
@@shadows1987 wow really? I havnt used amd since I had a saphhire Radeon 290x, and what a nightmare it turned out to be. I had to force the clock speed with an overclocker becuase its dynamic clockspeed would underclock itself so much that it would cuase horizontal artifacts across the whole screen in windows or anything 2d.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the firmware it had on the card itself becuase hardware wise it was fine. My friend still uses it to this day lol.
But I'll stick with nvidia from now on. Havnt had a single bad experience with them yet.
Amd fix?
Its been many years since I've used amd, but I'm assuming their control panel has similar options. Wish I could help you out more :(
My RX6600 also suffered from low GPU usage. AFAIK, Radeon software does have the same feature. I'll try it tonight.
Did exactly as you said.
Nope, doesn't work.
Then your issue is something entirely different, and knowing that is still of some value!
The point is, if the refresh rate is 60hz in Desktop mode and 60fps lock ingame, then it runs buttery smooth. Is has nothing to do with low latency mode. If you set your Desktop to 120hz and ingame 60fps, it will stutter again.
I don't even have a monitor that can go higher than 60hz so I'm pretty sure that's not the case, lol
@@SEXCOPTER_RUL Not talking about your setup. Wenn you run a game borderless ( dx12) without sync the refresh rate to your GPU, then it stutters. Before your GPU runs unlimited. Low latency mode is not necessary, thats what i wrote...
You have 10Gbvram. I have 8 and its no good.
This particular stutterring bug fix is only intended to solve a specific bug pertaining to higher end gpu. Lowering your resolution and lowering texture quality will help you in this case. Did you disable hyper threading in your bios?
and im only gtx1650 ryzen 5 🤣 how can this will work 😭😂
@@kairi1257 this fix is specific for the stuttering bug being caused by the game not making use of all of its available hardware resources. If you notice your gpu has low utilization when it's stutterring like mine did, then this fix solves that particular quirk of this game.
Unfortunately in your case you'll just need to lower your settings. Lowering the resolution especially will help.
If you looking for consistency over quality, try my fix but at a lower resolution. It might provide a suitable solution with some tinkering with the DSR settings in windows, but thats already more work than most are willing to go through
@@kairi1257 with that rig i would set textures and shadows to low at 1080p or even 720p?
this did nothing
I'm sorry, but at least you now know your issue isn't related to this, and that should be useful in itself in getting it to run like it's intended. Still frustrating I know, sorry again.
its not your fault but yeah if u have any other methods let me know because the game is like unplayable because of the stutter. My pc have ok specs not the latest and greatest but not potato i can run baldurs gate 3 and elden ring perfectly so i dont know what the deal is@@SEXCOPTER_RUL
didnt work
Kay
Does this work for cutscenes too? Mine all but freezes. Running a 3080ti and an i9 11k
It should fix pretty much every instance of stutterring witj ykur hardware setup, especially In cutscenes.
Not sure what cpu you mean specifically but my setup is an i9 10900kf with rtx 3080.you've got a slightly better gpu than mine since mine is regular 3080, so if there are still issues I'd look into the driver your using or the cpu itself.
I've heard alot of people having problems with nvidia drivers that were released after the nvidia 4000 series cards came out so I'd recommend using the last driver that came out before the release of the new line of cards if your still having issues.
Hope this helps!
