This may help, for me it turned out butter smooth Download FFVIIHook Mod, it's easy and quick Now these in Nvidia's Control Panel: Vsync-> Forced On (won't affect G-Sync) Refresh Rate -> Application Controlled Vulkan/OpenGL present method -> DXGI Change Resolution ~ Ultra HD, HD, SD <- under this category go for 1080p, (Native) option or whatever maximum resolution of your monitor. (This has nothing to do with internal game res which u can up it to 2k) Next to the resolution option (Refresh Rate): 120 FPS. Keep the game, Monitor and Nvidia's FPS limit the same (120 OR 60) DO NOT CHOOSE ANY RESOLUTION SETS FROM OTHER CATEGORIES otherwise frames transitions won't be smooth even if it was constant 120 FPS

O.K. This is great! The camera that we need in a shortcut is the commander camera, and then also asign shortcuts for the different camera positions... The one over the right shoulder is the best, imo. You can roam around this way, without problems... But yes, to interact (or shoot), you need to switch back to the flat screen... but even so.... Frontier don't need to give us virtual hands, or complex stuff... They just need to align the camera properly, so you can aim, and use the same type of floating menus we have on the ship... I really don't understand why they wouldn't but at least this trick is enough for now. Thanks again for your video!

I finally bought Odissey... I had to give it a try... Does it still works? For some reason I can't enable the free camera... I have it properly assigned to one of my hotas button. By the way, the flat screen doesn't look like on your video... Is pretty close to my eyes... Like if they tried to make it more immersive... But its funny that I don't feel sick in VR, but I feel a bit sick playing in that flat screen.

WHY DID I NOT FIND THIS VIDEO YEARS AGO!? Man this is honestly THE ONLY fix that worked for me. The ones from Nexus mods didn't do anything, not even lessen the stuttering. Definitely not that stupid sht about changing DX version and running the poorer quality of the game when a 4070 paired with an i9 should be more than enough. Thanks man! Just sad that I only saw this now. Decided to replay the game after I finished Rebirth a few months ago.
