Holy mother of! I LOVE you and your mom!!!! I have been trying so many green salsa recipes and this is the one I have been searching for! I'm gonna do a batch with hatch chili's as well. This is by far the best jalapeno salsa I've had! Thank you guys so much for sharing!
MorbidVizions 🤗🤗🤗 well I’m glad you found the channel too!!! Yum! Let me know how the hatch one turns out!!! Thanks for watching. Yeah this salsa NEVER fails. Hope you decide to stay and a part of the Fam.
I've made this salsa twice and I have to say it truly is the best Jalapeño salsa I have ever had. It's great on tostadas, in breakfast burritos, omelettes and quesadillas. Just delicious. I do the half size recipe and only add 8 jalapenos and about a tablespoon of salt. I will continue making this every time I run out. Idk if it tastes best while warm or the next day out of the fridge. It's just so good both ways.

@@jimwilleford6140 I've frozen roasted/cooked salsa many times and if you let the temp come down before freezing, and have a good freezer container or vac pack it'll last 6 months or more. You'd want to add the onion and cilantro after you thaw it out though, it'll add that freshness to it!!

The salsa was a hit on Sunday's carne asada. My family loved it and so I am making another salsa already. Think this weekend I am going to have to make the full recipe. Thank you and your mom for this recipe.😁
My most well known, home made salsa "Baile De Sabor: Samba" is as follows: Fresh ripe tomatoes, tomatillos, extra cilantro, fresh garlic, red and white onion, jalapenos, habernero, poblano, red and yellow bell pepper, limes, Himalayan salt, black pepper, cumin, and last but not least avacados. Every vegetable except the cilantro and avacado gets fire roasted and seared very well on both sides, for a huge depth of flavor in the salsa. A food processor is used for the chopping. Salsa is kept refrigerated. The salsa sits for at least 24 hours before eating, for all the flavors to fully release and work thier true magic. The avacados are added in as a cream, after blending in the food processor and it adds a beautiful creaminess and flavor to the salsa. Habernero adds an amazing flavor that most people dont realize and that pop of heat.
@@penelopebo- That's a tough question for me lol.. I have been making salsa for so long that I literally just eyeball everything and can sense how much to use.. although, with salsa, it is very forgiving! you have alot of room to add in more or less of each ingredient, and it will still taste great. My main advice would be: obviously make it about 75% tomato, and 25% all other ingredients. My average big batch of salsa is probably using 5 pounds of any fresh tomatoes as the base. Wait until the very end to add in salt and cumin.. add in a little at a time and keep tasting. Also, I usually use like 3 whole big bunches of cilantro, 3-4 avacados, alot of fire seared jalapenos (average of 8.. fire searing them makes them more mild fyi, so you can use more for thier amazing flavor) and alot of fresh lime juice.. 3-4 whole limes. Also remember, the salsa will taste drastically different and better after it has sat in a sealed container for at least 24 hours.. the acids in it break down all the ingredients and pull out big flavors. Dont judge the salsa until you have let it sat for 24 hours in the fridge, enjoy!
Thank you for the cooking show....I just bought a huge bag of jalapenos...and was out what to do with them..they were on sale...1.99 for three lbs...Now I am off to walmart to pickup a couple things....ahhhhh....its cold outside here in Nashville...time to salsa down...thank you once again...whooo whoooooooo

I made this a few days ago and it was delicious, I'll definitely be making it again. I did make a few adjustments though for my personal taste. I roasted the veggies on my grill, then sweated them in a bag and peeled the skins, also added a small white onion, a little white vinegar and about a teaspoon of sugar. I only made the half batch and there's a lot of it, so I mixed some with some mayo and sour cream for a creamy sauce which was awesome too. I'm new to making salsas though, how long should this last stored in and jar in the fridge?
Justin Williams wow look at you...sounds delish the way you made it as well. I can keep mine fresh for 1-2 weeks. Not sure how long it would last w the Mayo in it. I’d say a week to be safe. Enjoy!!! Thanks for watching and sharing your additions to it as well.
I'd recommend leaving the charred pepper skin on. In most recipes I remove it but with Jalepenos and smaller chiles it adds a lot of depth to the flavor. Especially this recipe!
