It’s back! The 2023 Red Bull Dual Ascent event takes place on the HUGE Dam in Verdasca Switzerland. Last year we saw the inaugural event take place and this year the route is bigger and better, with some crazy dyno moves and a WHOLE lot of exposure! This year we were asked to come and check it out as Jakob Schubert and Nika Potapova came to make the first ascent of the main competition route... expect some bloody fingers, some BIG jumps, and Some MASSIVE Exposure for the guys, as we experience the brand new Red Bull Dual Ascent 2023...

Dear Editors of climbing videos.
Please stop editing out the clips. I'm not saying you need to show every single clip, but clipping is actually the part of climbing that makes it magical. Especially outdoors on big, exposed routes. You're doing a disservice to the audience and the sport when you treat clipping like it's not the cool-ass crazy mf'ing thing that it is.
To leave out the clipping is like editing a golf video and not including any putting, or something similar. Just outrageous

I think most climbers finish their climb even if the skin starts to peel off.

I now it might be a bit cliché by now but these things keep bringing me back to free solo. Imagine finally being at the top of this huge fucking dam. And then you're on el cap and you've barely gone only a quarter of the way! Without a fucking rope. Man, Alex was crazy.

@@Mike-oz4cv this time I moved form a town back to my parents for a while, no climbing gym here for miles, could go out there are some nice boulders, but I don't have a crashpad etc. So that's a bummer and now it's really bad weather here

theyre probably spending well over $100k in the event in terms of setters, filming, logistics/workers, holds, safety, hardware...they get to advertise where they want!
