He's probably been skiing since 3yrs old & 000's of hours to date, most of the work was finding the right track & filming - the actual skiing to him was nothing as he knew where to go and what to expect.
@@stavrosdrakopoulos4661 Its not "nothing" to him, skiing with that many aerials while down a steep mountain has risks and no matter how good you are is very dangerous. He is very comfortable but its definitely not "nothing".
It took multiple years of filming to make this cut. Yes, Markus is one of the most versatile skiers anywhere, but he's only so good. Even God doesn't ski this run in one take.
Yeah I've been skiing probably 10 times and I learned really young with boy scouts but I'm by no means from a family that goes multiple times year, had a mountain cabin, etc. but I've been with those types several times and trust me don't let them convince you to go on anything that has the words black or diamond involved.... "Oh you're actually pretty good wanna come with us on this trail" say f*ck no and stick to green circles and blue squares, trust me lol. I actually really enjoy it on the easier stuff but it starts to get really really steep really fast. I'll stick to the easy stuff and enjoying the scenery and amenities.
This isn't just a video; it's a masterpiece painted on the canvas of snow-capped mountains. Every turn, every jump, it's like witnessing a vision brought to life - a dream sketched in the mind of a genius, then beautifully translated to reality. The background music? Oh, it's not just music; it's the soul of this adventure, turning every moment into an epic saga. And here's a thought - how mind-blowing would a 'VR 360 version' be? Imagine being in the heart of that exhilarating run, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery! Saved this gem in my watchlist and gave it a rewatch after a little 'elevation'. Let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of transcendent! It's like the video was made for moments like these.
It is hella entertaining and Markus Eder is a phenomenal all-around skier. I wasn't expecting a big mountain skier to effortlessly transition to grinding rails! But his medium-radius turns, especially to the left, are a little ragged. There are better pure powder and glade skiers.
Im sure no one will really read this, but I have to put it out there. I had the privilege to meet Markus in Hakuba 3 years ago, I also took a lap with him in powder at Cortina resort and it changed my life. This man sees the mountain differently, but more importantly he has a good heart-he was humble and very friendly. I thank Markus for doing so much for the sport, but also I thank you for impacting people. Stay safe and keep inspiring Markus. Hope to maybe ski again. Alex
The absolute BEST ski run EVER!! It is my absolute favorite ski video of all time!! His pure joy, and his Skiing perfection... I Smiled the whole time.WOW!!! 😊❤😍🤩⛷️🤘💯😎🌞
really, he's a champion and the shots are absolutely spectacular, but ... the difficulty of the undertaking has nothing to do with the Andrzej Bargiel's ski descent from the summit of K2: it's just another sport. ruclips.net/video/TiGkU_eXJa8/видео.html
i gotta disagree on that one a lot of places the camera man could have used a wider lens to get more mouintains but in the case they are proffesionals and who am i to judge-altough the point was the rider not the mountains but The helicopters shots were the best in my view
@@egeayvala1799 I agree on the merit of wider views, but her the focus, or the "point", is the route. The cinematographer makes sure you always know where you are in this conjured route, while giving you an impression of how you can experience one of these spaces, like speeding around a steep wall, or going through a cave. I loved the wide shot of the little town he just traversed, right after he jumped into the truck. You can pause and try to follow the line he took.
As a skiier and snowboarder for decades, I can say with confidence that this is the best I've ever seen. This goes beyond Olympic level. The execution, the confidence in each stroke, the rhythm of his speed. These are things people don't think about. He has this down perfectly. It's like the skis are an extension of himself
@@Baandera- Every credit to all the things he did in the video, but calling him 'beyond Olympic' level is a huge stretch, which is what 'm' argued against. And it's not because a couple of scenes only took 1 take. that the others didn't require multiple takes.
The level off skill required to do this is beyond me. Congratulations. Amazing and mind blowing both skiing and filming/editind. Hands down the best skiing video ever.
This is the most mind blowing thing I have ever witnessed. This was such a breathtaking experience and mind blowing. This video alone defines what Red Bull stands for, shit was amazing. I’m going to save this video.
Defines what Red Bull stands for? Extreme sports events? - Awesome. A drink that gives you diabetes and cancer? - Not so awesome. You won't see a single athlete drink that shit, ever. Marketing? - Great. The actual product? - Maybe they should make something that's actually good for humans, or the planet. They've got the funds, why not make something that's actually good? It's a money machine with only one goal in mind. Maybe we should ask the CEO if he allows his children to drink Red Bull. I think you'll find what really defines Red Bull right there. (Awesome ski video though 😅)
@@freezwalm To be fair, Redbull is pretty lacking in advertising their drink, and whenever they do it's mostly a pencilmation commercial with a cheesy line. Unlike some more nefarious companies *COUGH* Coca-Cola, Pepsi *COUGH* , they don't show their drink as some sort of unification element for humanity or something that could turn even the most sluggish couch whale into a natural born athelete. I hope I can work for Redbull in their IT department one day, good company if I do say so myself.
Markus & Red bull you evoked so many emotions watching this video. First of all thank you for creating this masterpiece. This is just shot so meticulously and thoughtfully. Amazing capture. Just beautiful ♥
For those of you wondering about the MUSIC played in this video: 1) Florian Seraul (Tiny Music) - Cold String 2) Eric B. & Rakim - Don't Sweat The Technique 3) Cari Cari - Mapache
Incredible. I’m a longtime snowboarder and instructor. The way each and everyone of his moves looks effortless is just astounding. This man has more control over his body while skiing at 25-40 miles an hour than most people do walking.
Yeah, that's what kills me. I mean the jumps and tricks are all impressive, but it's the way he just does them with total control, total confidence, and makes it all look so effortless and smooth. Wow.

@@0xnanamaru I’d love both. If the guy can do extreme freeride, 1080 on big jumps and rails , he can compete too :) I don’t know if he’s not competing because schedule incompatibility, lack of motivation or other reasons but the tour definitely misses him.
This is the most graceful dancing through the air I've ever seen. It felt like the most effortless form of flying, racing, swimming ... What verb can possibly describe what he did. And the INCREDIBLE camera work was equally as great. Evey single shot was breathtaking. The entire video is superb.
If there's such a thing as a masterpiece class of youtube videos, I think this sits right on top. Literally every aspect of this video is on point, audio design, camera work, pacing and of course the performance of the rider. Never been more impressed with anything I've watched on a screen before.
i would have changed one scene. the ending when he is standing in the middle of the open field. as the camera zoom out, would have the done the whole arms flailing and fall over as im standing still all skier do at some point regardless of level
So inspirational, this is the best 10 minutes of skiing I've ever seen. As an expert skier myself, and a former ski instructor, you are on an entirely different level which makes me look like an intermediate skier. I have a deep appreciation for what it takes to be able to ski like you do.

Fellah: an Egyptian peasant. I doubt if he fellates.
Wow. Perfect. I am coming back to this many many times.
Skiing is easy!
For real!! This is incredible

I’m 62. I’ve seen hundreds of ski videos. By far the best I’ve seen. This raises the bar to the top of the mountain. Congratulations.
really, he's a champion and the shots are absolutely spectacular, but ... the difficulty of the undertaking has nothing to do with the Andrzej Bargiel's ski descent from the summit of K2: it's just another sport.
ruclips.net/video/TiGkU_eXJa8/видео.html
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful cinematography that makes this insane run even more epic. 👏
i gotta disagree on that one a lot of places the camera man could have used a wider lens to get more mouintains but
in the case they are proffesionals and who am i to judge-altough the point was the rider not the mountains but
The helicopters shots were the best in my view
@@egeayvala1799 I agree on the merit of wider views, but her the focus, or the "point", is the route. The cinematographer makes sure you always know where you are in this conjured route, while giving you an impression of how you can experience one of these spaces, like speeding around a steep wall, or going through a cave. I loved the wide shot of the little town he just traversed, right after he jumped into the truck. You can pause and try to follow the line he took.
Yeah, the cameraman's great at storytelling
As a skiier and snowboarder for decades, I can say with confidence that this is the best I've ever seen. This goes beyond Olympic level. The execution, the confidence in each stroke, the rhythm of his speed. These are things people don't think about. He has this down perfectly. It's like the skis are an extension of himself
Eh he finishes dead last in every Olympic discipline
calm down. Olympic level what? You realize this is basically an advertisement.. Made in dozens of takes
@@user-ve7hn2dh8h 2:13 - Let me guess. They also had a few takes on that one too? stop hating and give credit when credits due
It’s like the mountain is him. Or like the back of his hand . Awesome
@@Baandera- Every credit to all the things he did in the video, but calling him 'beyond Olympic' level is a huge stretch, which is what 'm' argued against. And it's not because a couple of scenes only took 1 take. that the others didn't require multiple takes.
Probably the best skiing video I've ever seen. The scenery is awesome and the skiing is insane. This video is an hymn to freedom.
If you saw this in a Bond movie you'd say "Oh now that's TOO far fetched." The fact that it's real! Just amazing!
seriously his skill is incredible
I was thinking the same bout this being what you'd see in a Bond movie.
I was thinking that this should have been one of those opening scenes from a Bond movie
well it isnt "real" as i would be supposed to show in a Bond Movie. Its a lot of small steps a lot partial runs and endless hours of preperation.
A lot of virtualization here
The level off skill required to do this is beyond me.
I’m going to save this video.
wooow easy there dude
Defines what Red Bull stands for? Extreme sports events? - Awesome. A drink that gives you diabetes and cancer? - Not so awesome. You won't see a single athlete drink that shit, ever. Marketing? - Great. The actual product? - Maybe they should make something that's actually good for humans, or the planet. They've got the funds, why not make something that's actually good? It's a money machine with only one goal in mind. Maybe we should ask the CEO if he allows his children to drink Red Bull. I think you'll find what really defines Red Bull right there. (Awesome ski video though 😅)
don't get carried away bro...

Wow.
You'll hate me but on a board in very steep terrain, you don't have the control that you do with skis.
