Hannah, you are one of the best ambassadors for climbing. I love how open you are about your inner feelings and your process through them. You make me feel like maybe I can do more than I think I can. So inspiring.
THIS IS ROCK CLIMBING. The fear facing something new and uncomfortable, the preparation and safety to overcome it, and the anticipation and excitement leading up to the climb. Got goosebumps the whole video. I loved Nathan's take "I realized how much I wanted to do it but how uncomfortable it would be". Thats LITERALLY how everyone feels climbing and learning a new technique at the gym, you guys just took it to the next level. Fookin' awesome !
Awesome video Hannah and Nathan! Great job pushing the mental limits - the only thing scarier than climbing the dam was that time Nathan absolutely obliterated me in chess - I'm still recovering
WHAT??? I totally did not expect to see this video drop. You totally did it! Awesome! You not only controlled your fear but you owned that wall. Well done!
Love the video and how honest you both were with facing your fears!! Really made the dam so much more magnificent. Also had a double take when you topped the last pitch and lo and behold-was that Toby Segar??? A wild crossover of my favourite channels if so, lovely
really digging these more narrative adventure-doc style pieces. i hope you two continue to get opportunities to make this style of thing from time to time. your "standard" style vids are really relatable to what i do week-in week-out and seeing you in this other context is really cool/motivating.
Thank you! Hopefully, we’ll have more to come over the year ahead, we’re lucky to have some brand support - which is essential for making these kind of trips and videos.
Love the cinematic documentary feel to this video! Thank you so much Hannah for sharing your journey on climbing this dam- really enjoyed watching you and Nathan trying your hardest :) 😀
Been waiting for this video since I saw the announcement of y'all doing it on Instagram! Absolute banger, and so excited to watch. Seeing the reality of someone I look up to as a climber (having been watching your climbing videos for so long now) being nervous before a big climb like this is both humbling and inspiring. It shows how absolutely down to earth and real you are with this channel, and is a huge reason why I absolutely love watching your videos. The fear of heights is such a mental battle and one I've struggled a lot with since taking a nasty ground fall, but seeing this video has made me want to push myself and get back into leading. So, to end, I just want to say thank you to both you, Hannah, and Nathan for making this video and proving that pushing beyond those mental boundaries can be such an enriching experience, and definitely has inspired me to push myself more on the ropes!
Congratulations on this achievement! I've been following your page since 2021 (had wisdom teeth surgery so I spent time watching climbing vids instead). It has been amazing seeing you and the channel grow! I find your vlogs relatable, which always made it enjoyable to watch! More power 2024!
Awesome! When you posted your message about how the viewers would feel about doing this a few weeks back I didn't know there was a non pro route and I was like "whaaat that looks soo insanely hard!" but now I so wish I could have had the opportunity to do that! Congratz!
This is so wonderful. Congrats Hannah and Nathan! I feel so inspired to conquer my own fear of heights now, it really is just learning to do things anyway even when you're fucking terrified...
Thanks very much - glad it could provide some inspiration. I find lead really scary, but it's really satisfying when you make progress with something that feels really out of your comfort zone. You've got it! :)
What a fantastic video! Great to see you all overcoming your fears and enjoying the rewards fodoing so. Love the documentary style ,seeing the build-up to your success. Well done to you both!
What an incredible milestone for both of you!! I really enjoyed this video. My favourite theme running through your videos is Hannah’s mental development. Watching you take on challenges and grow in confidence has been really inspiring. Also with recognising is that your hard work has put you in some esteemed company, and gathering the support of BIG brands.
I love that you started at horseshoe! I did my first ever outdoor lead there (with only 5 quick draws, having to lower off to collect the bottom ones, then reclimb to a new high point) and the following year met my wife-to-be there!
This is such a dream video as a longtime fan of your channel! I’ve been watching other folks’ ascents of this, and zero bias but this is my fav documentation of it. Thx Hannah & team for the inspiring content you create. Climb on!
I was eagerly waiting for this video for so long and I have to say I’m so happy about how it turned out! Your guys’ adventure and willpower is super inspiring 😁. Keep up the great work!
Wow! This video is quite different from your normal content. It was well done and entertaining. I could relate to the nervousness about such a new challenge. Great job all around!
Congrats on beating the fear. I always feel that your fear level hinders you more than your ability level, so when you beat the fear that is such a huge step, well done and Happy Christmas.
What a great achievement, getting over your fears and climbing this amazing multipitch route. Such a great climbing year you two had, hope you reach the 100K still before christmas, you deserve it!
That was so impressive! Literally facing your fears head on. This is really inspiring! I am also one of those people who loves rock climbing but gets super scared when I’m way high up on the wall. I’m just working on extending my threshold so I can finally top out a lead route at my gym
You can do this! Small steps and continuous exposure will get you there. I had a criplying fear of heights (and that's also the reason why I started climbing). But when taking just tiny steps you will get them. Take the same rout. Go to the level you like "meh this is enoug" and them come down. Go to that same place and do 1 or 2 moves higher. Keep doing that and you will reach the top! And nothing beats that feeling.
Wow! Been a long time subscriber Hannah, to see you come from the early days to this achievement is really impressive. For someone that generally does bouldering only this is so different and out of comfort zone! 🎉
Great video, you told me you had a multi-pitch video coming a few weeks ago, and it was worth the wait :) I'm super jealous that you got to do this, it looks like such a fun climb.
Loved the video! So interesting to see. I personally find single and multipitching so much less scarry than bouldering. Too me a bit to get used to the hight but now I'm so comfortable with the rope. It's really interesting to see everyone own experiences with them and who find what scarry and how different people deel with their fear.
Holy guacamole, Hannah! And Nathan too, of course. What a cool adventure you got sent on there! Congratz on conquering the tallest wall and everything that got conquered along the way!
Nice to have you guys back in Switzerland. Hope you enjoyed again :-) I initially thought you gonna climb the competition route, that would have been hard, but this one looks also quite nice. I actually started climbing in Ticino in Ponte Brolla, which is also very stunning. You ned to try if you are ever in that Region again.
Oh wow, just watching the video freaks me out. But in a good way? Like it reminds me of the Owen Wilson line from Armageddon, "90 percent excited, ten percent scared. Or maybe 90 percent scared ten percent excited..." :)
I literally saw a video of this french youtuber who climbed the same dam with 2 hours of bouldering experience the day before.. he lied on the form and he managed to get to the top..I think it was 160 meters though, but he started from a ladder... so kuddos to you even with 2 years of preparing yourself!
Your Storytelling, Production and Editing skills has really gone up! Keep up the awesome work and taking us on this journey with you! P.S. - almost to 100k! Yay!
aside of the achievement, the video editing / storytelling is 👌👌 also it's the first dam climbing video I see that I can feel how high you are on the wall at all times.
Hey! It’s a Coros. I think Hannah wears the Vertix, which is excellent for all terrains. It has a neat sport climbing activity that automatically senses your routes climbed when you train, we’ve been trying them the last few months.
I would feel so nervous about taking on that dam! Way to feel brave!! Also I did a day climbing with Paul from Peak Adventures, he's great! You couldn't of had a better coach!
@@hannahmorrisbouldering I might even be underselling it, but there's nothing like it in the world. You might want to do a bit of crack climbing first though.
Thank you so much! It was a really amazing experience - the grade was probably around 6A - it was a warm up route and felt quite possible for two people who only boulder! I’d love to go back next year and train for a harder route, climbing wise. ☺️
Random piece of thumbnail feedback from someone who makes them for others: The contrast between the left and right images is not enough, and you cant tell that the image on the right is of the bridge at all, it looks like another gym. Hannah, your growth as a climber and a person in the last 12 months makes you 12 foot tall in my eyes. You're rocking it, believe in yourself.
Thank you so so much! That really means a lot to me ☺️
Awesome video Hannah and Nathan! Great job pushing the mental limits - the only thing scarier than climbing the dam was that time Nathan absolutely obliterated me in chess - I'm still recovering

Thank you Noah. It was great to meet you and spend some time with you and Spencer. Until next time 🎉
The production value on the videos lately have been off the charts! I love these videos!

Toby from Storror poking his head in at the top. Well done Hannah. Next step: Hannah Morris Big wall.
