Two main thoughts Evan- 1. I don't think everyone compatible with a lifetime partner to be an "easy going at all times person" (I call them the pixie dust gal/guy) I know I'm not. 2. Yes I like the 'throwing plates' question and the corollary is "How did your parents handle disagreements..?" not all parents throw plates- some don't express anger/one parent won't disagree, etc. Just as harmful. Thoughts?

Know your state laws concerning marriage. If you meet the magic number of years in marriage where the one earning less money may automatically qualify for lifetime alimony, will you get dumped? Keep in mind that most divorces are filed by women. Most ordered to pay alimony are men. What part of your prenup may not be valid in your state? Will you lose your retirement benefits too? If you marry a foreign lady, can she claim half of your possessions after 40 days of marriage? These questions are usually asked when it may be too late. I learned the hard way...
People have problems with exes because when problems arise in the current relationship they start thinking of their exes but only the good parts. The worry is especially warranted when their partner didn't choose to end their previous relationship, then you will wonder if your partner would leave you to get back with the person that rejected them before because that person has the ability to erase feelings of inadequacy because they are the one's who caused them.

#6 which most men assume that we women doesnt need/want shopping for our selves. Any women who would deny this is such a liar. We love receiving special gifts and buy expensive items, its just that if a man demands for only 'experience' together like travel we just accept it but deep inside our hearts we always dream to have all those expensive stuffs. Of course, it requires discipline but being deprive w it coz its the man's preference? Oh no no! I would work hard to buy those stuff and tell my man this budget is mine and he must not stop me. If my man wont give me those gifts and kind of thoughtfulness? Then il provide it to myself
