- What’s happening in this Spider-Man 3 movie clip?
Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire from The Great Gatsby and Brothers) gets attacked and trapped by Venom who then reveals to be Eddie (Topher Grace from BlakKkansman). Peter tries to reason with him telling him that he remembers what it felt like, the power, but Eddie doesn’t listen to him. Before he can kill Peter, the Goblin (James Franco from 127 Hours and Spring Breakers) comes to help him with his flying skateboard but is knocked out by Venom right after. The Venom takes Harry’s flying skateboard and tries to kill Peter, but Harry jumps in front of Peter and gets killed instead. Peter notices that the sound of high pitched metal is bad for Venom, so he manages to free himself from his trap and create a metal circle around Venom. Peter starts tapping on the tubes, which makes the Venom disintegrate and enables Peter to get Eddie out. Peter then throws a grenade on Venom, but Eddie jumps too and it kills both of them. Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst from Bring It On and The Vampire Chronicles) goes to check on Harry who is dying.

What’s the Spider-Man 3 movie about?
When bitten by a genetically modified spider, a nerdy, shy, and awkward high school student gains spider-like abilities that he eventually must use to fight evil as a superhero.
As Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire from The Great Gatsby and Brothers) prepares his future with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst from Bring It On and The Vampire Chronicles), he bonds with an extraterrestrial symbiote that affects his psyche. Let's be fair here: the movie is not so bad, and it wasn't Sam Raimi's fault, it was Sony's. They interfered in the production, just like they did in the making of TASM 2 and just like WB did in the making of Justice League
They can never leave well enough alone. The studios eventually get in there own way.
Azzi interfered in the production, everything Sony has done with Spider-Man has turned out great while Disney’s projects turned to dust.

Parts were good, but it was obvious from the way Raimi handled Venom that he did not want the character in the film. I heard his choice was Vulture.

@@ivanarcheous4731 Yeah , there were numerous storylines that could have happened if sony didn't stopped making Raimi's Spiderman films Like Dr.connors becoming Lizard , Bruce Campbell's Mysterio reveal , Carnage and possibly the return of Venom .
Most of the criticism surrounding this film can be summarized in two words: studio interference. They forced Raimi to do too many things to sell action figures. But despite all the setbacks from the studio, this movie is probably my favorite Spider-Man movie of all time.

the movie is still good even with a lot of villains also with studio interference compared to the other ones now especially no way home, that movie felt way more overstuffed compared to this one, the dialogue is pure cringe they tried so hard to make tom holland a better spiderman, when in actuality they made him dumber by having his aunt may killed just because people now knows him, garbage story plot, immensely idiotic
To put it simply, the studio tried to shove two movies into one, and while the final product is entertaining, I’m not sure if it’s a “great movie” by any means (especially compared to its predecessors; the second one would get my vote for the best superhero movie)

Tbf the rest of the movie has justifiable Criticism but the whole final battle and act is so good. Venom is actually pretty cool in the final battle, Harry’s death was perfect and sandman’s apology is really emotional.
The battle is good, I like it much that other cómic battles, only had things that get you out of the movie, like emo Spidey or Eddie Brock suiciding with Venom, the death of Harry had that powerful on the spectator because the character development on Spiderman 1 and 2 but its bad.
I think Harry helping Peter need more development, needs another movie, the change its so quick.
Maybe If this movie was about Goblin and Sandman and another movie about Venom it was better.
The final act was the worst part of the movie and the Venom was a complete disappointment.

Spiderman 3:
-Spidey vs Sandman, then beated by Harry,gets the Black suit (without emo shit), beats Harry on a more epic battle humiliating him.At the end Spiderman With the Bell,and end of Black suit. Venom finds Eddy. The end
-Spiderman 4:
Venom beats Spidey everytime, Harry becomes good on a slower and better way. Harry and Peter vs Venom and they cant beat him (like a character so epic as Venom deserves),Spidey KO, and Venom kills Harry on a sad way . Spidey sees his friend killed like a fly, hes angry but uses his intelligence to beat Venom. The end
@@youtuytumaddrre Yep. The lore of Venom is just too big to be put into just one movie (let alone a movie with other villains sharing the story). Definitely needed a part 1 and 2.
But I also found his appearance very lame. He was just too small, should've been bigger. His screams were annoying, gay (for the lack of better words lol) and very off character. It sounded more like Carnage instead of Venom.
I'm not particularly a big fan of Tom Hardy's Venom either, but they nailed the character one million times better than Sam Raimi did in these aspects.
The best version of the character ever for me is the one on the Animated Series 1994. I really really love that version.

And Eddie was even supposed to sexually asult a woman.
And venom would have a much more darker death scene.
But it was too dark and disturbing so they didn’t include these in the movie.

This old Venom's personality is like a rabid animal, doesn't show sympathy, sadistic and just wants to hurt others, just like what Carnage do, plus, it seems that this old Venom can't hide itself inside it's host unlike the comic version and new Venom, this old Venom just sticks itself to the outside body of the host. While the new Venom who's more comic accurate, acts like a comedic yet badass character who holds a good relationship with his host.

Not to be rude, but personal I wasn’t a huge fan of Raimi’s version of Venom.
He felt far too petty in my opinion, unlike how in the comics he acts like a rabid beast.
That’s pretty much my only issue with Spider-Man 3 though. (Well that and the third act was a bit choppy) Other than that I absolutley love it.

I feel like if Venom was Carnage the character would be spot on. With the whole screeching and overall horror scene with the jump scare. Even the physique of Venom looks much similar to Carnage

Yeah, that's the criticism of this Venom - Due to Raimi being not quite fond of Venom, he didn't grasp the character properly.
Venom IS NOT EVIL! Yes, Eddie Brock hates Peter Parker, but he simply wanted to humiliate him. That's it. Venom never made others really suffer, that's truly Carnage.

1:23 this was one of the most heartbreaking moments in any movie imho, along with Terminator 2, Gladiator. The soundtrack is also amazing. This is probably my favourite movie trilogy.

I just noticed something. After Venom’s demise, Sandman is just nearby with his fist full of sand but I think he was there to help Peter in case the Venom symbiote caused any more danger. Prob would’ve restrained Eddie if he were to bond again.
The film had an alternate ending in which Sandman turned his hand into a large mace and began beating Peter until he was stopped by his family and Dr. Wallace

@The Official Andy Saenz Yes, I was thinking that too that out of all the villains, Venom was the only villains that Spiderman killed. The Green Goblin caused himself to die, Dr. Octavius died on his own by trying to destroy his machine, and he tried to kill Sandman but didn't succeed.
@@tbx12frnku22 Yes, that's true. Venom is the name of the symbiote and Peter in some ways has killed Venom. Also that's true that Peter didn't want to kill Eddie which is why he separated him from the symbiote but, Eddie wanted to bond again with it which is why he jumped in to maybe stop the pumpkin bomb from blowing it up or he wanted to die with the symbiote. If he wanted to die with it, it's probably only because he couldn't take the sadness anymore after Peter got him fired especially it sounds like Eddie's dream was to have a job in a newspaper company and then he got fired losing his dream.
The one thing Tobey trilogy does better I'd the fight cinematography. It's more realistic almost r rated looking. No solo super hero movie comes close to Tobey vs ock fight

Its because of Sam Raimi's direction who is also experienced on directing horror movies...If one has paid attention to the details of the three films they will notice that the movie tried build a horror kind of suspense in critical situations ,example the hospital scene where doctors operate on unconscious doc oc who turns the procedure into a nightmare..That was shot brilliantly..Its something thats lacking in MCU.... Don't get me wrong I am big MCU fan but the actions and cinematography feels rushed

Is no one going to respect Topher Grace’s lowkey great acting in this scene? Eddie is fucking scared out of his skull that his only power could be taken away from him, now fully mad with power, so he decides that he’s going to stop Peter or die trying. He doesn’t even care; he’s so drunk on the symbiote that he can’t live without it. Kind of sad when you think about it.
This should’ve been Venom’s movie, not Sandman’s.

Well, I know that Harry was about to kill Spider-Man the whole trilogy, but the writers could have done it better formulating this line. I think Tobey‘s Peter would have actually never told anyone that Harry was about to kill him. He rather would tell everyone what a hero Harry was, what he truly was at the end of Spider-Man 3.

Sandman and New Goblin should’ve been the villains for 3, and Venom should’ve been the villain for 4. I know Raimi didn’t have a firm grasp on Venom’s character, but once he did some studying up the horror aspects of the symbiotes would’ve really played to Sam’s strengths

Considering the director made Evil Dead and other horror movies it’s no surprise that Venom would behave like a demonic version of Spider Man, although that’s one of the main characteristics of Venom. If this Venom was Carnage the character would be even more spot on, though story wise it wouldn’t make sense because Carnage comes from Venom

@@bouncyblight2001 apparently they wanted to make this film more horror like and a bit more streamlined but Sony interfered and test audiences so everything was scaled back and that hurt the movie overall. It still has care in it, and I appreciate that!

No Dr strange, No Ironman needed. Tobey's spiderman gets the job done saves the day just like his comicbook counterpart.
Tom Holland has all the Ironman features that fill in the holes of the poor writing.

Hardy is the better Venom but this was the better movie & there were actually consequences for the main character’s actions leading up to this fight.
