I got so lucky starting out. My neighbor used to be a BMW race car driver, racing M4’s at IMSA. He had a nice sim rig but he also had a secondary one with the Thrustmaster TX. When he moved he gave me the Tx, Ferrari wheel, the thrustmaster load cell pedals, th8a shifter, and a cockpit. I never knew how lucky I was until I got into sim racing.

My g27 still rocks for j think almost 10years. With mods rev lights, f1 wheel with extra buttons and 3.5 LCD that I diy'd with scraps laying around the house. I didn't get a new wheel but bought myself a vr.
@@Turbo_96 I don't live in US. DD's are so expensive here, it's unrealistic. As much as I want to get a DD, I'd rather make my own instead that will save me 70% with brushless motors 8-12nm. Also there's many DD open source codes for Arduino but yes a lot of effort for this.

Best budget wheel is the new Cammus C5, with pedals and desk clamp for $329. I've was able to try one out. First time trying with a direct drive. Thought it was the best wheel I've used so far. So when I finally decided to buy one, of course I find a very good conditioned Logitech G920, with a brake mod to feel more like a load cell, for $150 in my local Craigslist and just went with that. It's great for the price. I'll get a direct drive someday. I'm just a casual sim racer, so this will do for a few years.

@@FrenchSe7en hmm idk, the thrustmaster t150 (the one he mentioned when talking about pedals) comes with (unless you pay extra) plastic pedals consisting of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal while the G29/G920/the newer one come with the clutch too and they're made of metal

@@LovelySardonyx it is decent, i have never drove a real car or had a wheel before the force feedback feels good, everytime i hit a wall or bump it shakes, however i have trouble with compatiblty, because in most of the mainstream games, but it wont even detect an input in snowrunner, and the FFB support with dirt rally 2.0 is in an out, it worked at first but then stopped i havent tried it in a while tho, the pedals are decent they like to slide but i also have a slick wood floor, shifter is mid, i love to slam into my gears and the plasticish rubber is starting to break off from my horrible usage of it, other than the shifter i see everything lasting
I´m using Thrustmaster T300 RS GT + Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter and the ebay handbrake. Racing games are so much more fun now! I never regretet the purchase!

If you love simracing and have enough money laying around go get a DD wheel, you'll love it

I got a used: like new thrustmaster t300rs for like $250 (after tax) off of Amazon on prime day. Its soo good and pairs very easily with my quest 3
Unpopular opinion. T150 sucks for drifting even Logitech is much better for it. Upgraded to T-GT and Bro trust me, t300rs is minimum.
Thrustmaster has overheating issues. G29 is clucky but will last and has tons of mods.
If you can get a working T300, that would definitely get my vote!
