To be honest, from that shot, that is the car I want to see in the game the most. Imagine driving that beast around, which they probably put into game with data from Ferrari. And imagine driving that in rain. God I really hope they have it in the game!
The shot with the M4 CSL going downhill is actually from the road that we take from Nurburg to Adenau. I drove it many times when I lived there, it's awesome to see this detail in game. I wonder if it is simple just a scape "map" or mode, but still amazing to have it there.
It looks great, thanks for the DD i missed about 80% of what you spotted. Really excited that so many older cars are shown & they haven't just gone with new cars.
That was not a Daytona, it was the 250 GTO, which was in AC1. And, yea, the Alfa GTA is probably my favorite car in AC. I don't drive it that often, but every time I drive it, I'm reminded that it's just perfect. When you talked about the two different cars being in a different league and if that could mean BOP-adjustment, I'd say, this was likely a track-day scenario. This would fit with the driving road that showed opposite direction traffic. I think Kunos know that many players love to drive in uncompetitive scenarios, where it's not about winning or beating your friends or improving your lap time, but where it's just about the joy of driving - and this something major in my opinion, because the other driving sims don't really acknowledge this, not even games like Forza Horizon really acknowledge this, because they're constantly trying to throw things at you in the environment (smash that board, get a high-speed score, do this jump) to make the driving less boring, not understanding that the driving can be very fun or relaxing on its own. Maybe the Truck Simulator games are the only ones who do understand this to some degree.
Yes, I agree. The Euro/Truck Simulator games seem to understand how meditative it can be to just drive through the world. Maybe GTA games understood this too, weirdly. I've never understood why there isn't a car version of Euro Truck Simulator, with the best driving roads in the world and the most iconic drivers' cars to drive on them: the Amalfi Coast and the Transfagarasen of whatever it is. And traffic, and we can just enjoy driving on that tarmac. Forget off-road, that's the mistake so many open world driving games make. Just concentate on tarmac, and put your resources into making the scenery spectacular but non-interactive. Just driving an A110, or a GT3, or an old Merc, along the Italian coastline, while traffic occasionally comes the other direction.
Funny you specifically mentioned those things in Forza Horizon, those artificial events you could do. When I really just wants to drive around and enjoy the experience of driving said car. In Assetto Corsa it's more about the enjoyment of the drive, each cars has a character and it's fantastic to experience it. In Forza it all feels a bit numb in control and force feedback.
Great breakdown of the trailer. Realistically I don't expect we see much about modding any time soon, if ever. But this was just a teaser, not a full blown trailer so I'll wait and see. I think at 7:31 with the Ferris wheel, it's actually T1 brands hatch though. Suzuka has thick modern F1 kerbs there, Brands has a thin line, like we see in the trailer. Also the 'EDGE' sponsorship is in the same place in AC1.
Nice video man, with all the SimRacing titles that exist nowadays it's hard to come up with something really unique, but seems to be than AC EVO is exactly that, a bit of GT7 vibes for sure, but that doesn't exist on PC, so AC EVO fills that gap, but bringing theirs own inventions onboard, which is the long routes, that's something that it's so enjoyable "going with 2-6 friends on fancy cars around a random road while talking over Discord", what a time to be alive.
here in Italy we also have a strong passion for hill climbs, public roads used as weekend tracks, races like the Trento-Bondone are "our" Pikes Peak and I wouldn't be surprised if they had included it, it would be perfect. They could also have included a race like the Mille Miglia which was a granfondo road car race held in Italy in 24 editions between 1927 and 1957. It was a speed race in line with start and finish in Brescia in which the competitors arrived all the way to Rome through Central-Northern Italy.
I've seen them IRL and I still don't drive them, just like most other race cars. And let me assure you I am a car guy through and through I'm just not really interested in racing as such. Even if Kunos doesn't make any GT3s for ACE, modders will. GT3s are the most popular class in simracing and it seems like every moddable title has them.
I hope the modding access is left open like in current ac. The main focus should be on giving the community access to modding tools and implementing an easy way to start multiplayer servers.
I just somehow doubt it, and thats why im so skeptical. They have no incentive to make things accessible, if they do not make extra money off of it long term. Mods are seen as shameful by corporate shareholders. They make no money off of modularity.
@@AgentZ7It's their objective to keep the selling numbers, and the number of active players high, though. A moddable sim will surely bring a lot more customers. Imo you either bring up-to-date content on the regular like iRacing, or allow modding. Else, the sim is set to fail on the long run.
@@AgentZ7 the cynicism is wild here. every Kunos game from the very start has always supported MODs and AC was no different, ACC and the Ferrari challenge game were the only games that didn't support mods and thats 100% because of the fact that the games were licensed games. the guy who made rainfx (which is a paid mod) makes $150k A MONTH on patreon, if Kunos and 505 games were how you describe them (505 games is a wack publisher with their own rocky history) the guy who made rainfx would have been sent a C&D years ago due to how much money he makes. as it stands right now there is a very strong likelyhood that Kunos will make ACEVO as mod friendly as AC is right now but their biggest hurdle is making the console versions of the game worth it because AC on console is actually trash
I'm a bit disappointed this didn't include answers to many burning questions. But we wait a little longer. I've heard nothing from anyone else about the exterior of the nordschliefe being modeled, so either you're the only person on earth who knows this fact...or you're wrong.
Honestly can't wait to tailgate at 200+ kph driving on Nordschleife at night and in thunderstorm with headlights off in ACE. But the traffic on roads is the biggest thing I'm looking forward to.
You wish. Gt7 is miles ahead. Better graphics. Way more cars. Way more tracks. Works great with a controller. Way nicer replays. Free dlc almost every month. Way more songs. Etc. it’s not even close.
Were now confident that ilja is working with kunos, if he is, he earned it, he placed assetto corsa a 10 year old game in a pedestal where its up to par with new sim racing games, and im i think it will have "mods" but these mods will be DLC's and it'll be managed or monitized by kunos maybe some "trusted modder" kind of stuff but we don't know The best thing to do at least imo is to make the game modable and let the community improve it again and play with the new engine, brains that you dont pay payoff at some point and kunos can play on the "greyzone" where its a mod we dont have control on it and they dont know the modder therefore they cant do something about it
The materials rendering doesn't look too great in places. The interior of the Alpine especially, you can see the bare blue metal which should be super shiny but it looks like plastic, same as the other materials.
That seems like pretty minor finetuning thing for 3d artist, overall the graphics look pretty damn good considering the man who made the whole damn original AC game engine basically by himself completely from scratch hasn't been around for years and I don't know if anyone in this world can replace him.
@@babar292we do not care who made the game or for how long. If we are paying full price we expect a full game similar to the competition. If only one man made the game then it was way cheaper to pay one single person. So the game should be a lot cheaper than gt and forza.
The only cars I’m personally hyped about from those two shelves, are the two on the bottom right. 1989 Ferrari 640 early variant, and I think a 2001/2 Ferrari. 😊
The trailer looks good and I'm cautiously optimistic about ACE! I was hoping for a loose surfaces (gravel, dirt, snow etc) showcase in a trailer at the very least. That is one major area of improvement that I think is severely lacking in AC. I'd also like if there was some sort of "driver school" mode.
I'm counting on the full release, i know it's a lame thing to say, but i'm running vanilla AC (no CSP) on Parallels on m1 mac with a Dual Shock 4 and is by far the most played game for me with countless kilometers on Nordshleife, Interlagos, etc, even though i can't play every mod . Hope it is the EVOlution it means, looks gorgeous and hope it works on parallels.
Hopefully they give us an inbuilt content manager. I don't want the intros, I don't fancy menus, not interested in careers with cutscenes. I just want full control with content manager, mods and multiplayer. Fast efficient menus.
They'll have to if they eventually port it to console. However that said, the current console version of AC does have a different UI compared to PC version; even in-game.
12:06 is a road close to nordsleichfe, It would be insane if we would have to drive to the track to start the race or have like a freeroam road close to nords
Visually the trailer looks nice, but I'll honestly say that the behavior of the cars doesn't convince me, the suspension work, the work of the tires on corners etc etc in this respect it looks very normal. I hope that a few months before the premiere they will be well worked on.
I hope for some more focus on single player and progression, guess on 150-200 cars, would be cool if you could upgrade your cars in game like in gt7 but i domt see that happening sadly. Still i am hyped for it after the trailer.
@randomcallsign What was interesting when you paused the scene with the 1st silver Porsche. is that I noticed that the lines on the hood, I think were tracks. I immediately recognized laguna Seca.
I would say for the detail comparison with GT7. Let’s see how much detail is in the cabin and exterior when driving.. GT7 renders differently (LESS) when it’s not in driving mode.
No one should've got their hopes up for TDU - it was always likely to be dodgy given who the devs were and given that the originals were well loved but not actually that good.
Will they make user friendly interface? Menu? Key mapping, like all games that i played this was only one that i dripped because of that extremely bad and unfriendly menu and key mapping...oh and vr will be nice, but not from mod where u see nothing infront
@@randomcallsign I wouldnt worry so much about graphics when we already have some of the best graphical fidelity and so much more.
@@miosink Your both correct!!!
@@AgentZ7 Assetto corsa is so popular mainly due to mods. Kunos knows that.
Nothing really matters until it's installed and I can drive it, only then will I be able to answer for myself whether it's worth the wait.
Still it would have been nice to understand what features it may have at launch in regards to online and single player experience.
This is more like a teaser trailer maybe the next one we will see it
Love your break down of the trailer bro! Gosh some impressive stuff on show, can't wait to hit the track in it when it comes out!
9:36 "We probably need to ask that geoguesser guy" 😂😂😭
As a 296 owner, when they showed the 206 interior I was like wtf... they got every detail right
5:46 This isnt the RSR, this is the Porsche Cup Car, i think...
Yes the 992 cup specifically
Of course, RSR is much older than this one, and from other serie
Rene from Overtake has confirmed and actually shown on their stream, that the roads shown on the trailer are roads surrounding the Nurburgring
What does that even mean? Roads outside the actual track itself, so you drive to the track?
@@thesprawl2361 yes
@@thesprawl2361 I dont know why youre so confused, I think I made myself pretty clear, but I can always try to improve my vocabulary and grammar.
Im not mocking or anything Im genuinely wanting to learn, if I didnt make myself clear, how can better put it?
@@bernardoberner4 No you did well. But people's mind are simply blown by the idea you can drive to a race track yourself in a video game. "Why don't the video game put me on the race track?"
@@bernardoberner4 No, you were clear, but a. you're claiming that not only the nordschleife but most of the surrounding countryside is modelled in the game, which is a big claim, and b. you're basing that on I don't know what...your belief that you recognise a road in one of the screenshots from when you drove on it.
I've heard nothing from anyone else about the exterior of the nordschliefe being modeled, so either you're the only person on earth who knows this fact...or you're wrong.
the miniature #36 f1 car is the american gurney/westlake "eagle" driven by dan gurney
Honestly can't wait to tailgate at 200+ kph driving on Nordschleife at night and in thunderstorm with headlights off in ACE. But the traffic on roads is the biggest thing I'm looking forward to.
Something interesting here I think is that Tyrrell P34 F1 and Morgan 3 wheeler. Does this mean we can have various number of tire on a car?
Dudes rocking the Rush shirt . Must be a legit dude.
Love the t-shirt. Looking forward to the release just before my birthday.
So basically it's a GT7 wirh good physics and less gimmicky features.
lets see
if it indeed have traffic mode it would be better than gt
And way more modern cars
You wish. Gt7 is miles ahead. Better graphics. Way more cars. Way more tracks. Works great with a controller. Way nicer replays. Free dlc almost every month. Way more songs. Etc. it’s not even close.
@@VictorFernandes-q9o normie alert.
Me looking at the trailer: YOOOO MY PC CANT RENDER THAT... YOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT RUN THIS
YOOOO
PS4 can run gt7 which is graphically more advanced. So your pc should be fine.
12:03 that's a road around the Nordschleife :)
Yes bro it is amazing❤
Looks fantastic! I hope for a kind of Career mode like PCars 2 but even better
Looks fairly good but I don't think Polyphony are too worried.
cant wait for this game, if GT7 release on pc ,AC Evo is the big contender
Wow. a Rush fan. Go Geddy, Alex, Neil.
All I hope is that it runs on my PC at a playable framerate. I'll be there day one. This is the one game I trust to be good.
It is an excellent base for the modders.
I am heavily skeptical that itll even come close to what OG Assetto Corsa has already brought us.
Why?
Yea I think people should not expect it to replace the AC mod scene
Were now confident that ilja is working with kunos, if he is, he earned it, he placed assetto corsa a 10 year old game in a pedestal where its up to par with new sim racing games, and im i think it will have "mods" but these mods will be DLC's and it'll be managed or monitized by kunos maybe some "trusted modder" kind of stuff but we don't know
The best thing to do at least imo is to make the game modable and let the community improve it again and play with the new engine, brains that you dont pay payoff at some point and kunos can play on the "greyzone" where its a mod we dont have control on it and they dont know the modder therefore they cant do something about it
He absolultely did earn it. I wonder if he's making more money with them or less though.
I agree, also lighting of the cars outside seem a bit gloomy. Not bright, lifelike you see in Gt7 for example.
That's not lame at all. You put in all that effort into playing a game. I used to do that with Linux.
@@NexuJin hopefully someday i'll get a proper build so i can play AC with steering whell and all sorts of things...
@@vr861 .. I play AC on the XB1X with the standard controller 😂
12:19 Reminds me of vintage SPA like in Project Cars 2
I want official mod support.
The suspension alone has me so excited! The way the cars reacted on the curbs. Omg so good lol
Hype hype hype ... Realises... No no no it isn't that what we think
Sounds dumb but having the sun shine while rain is falling is a big change in my book.
I hope they have modern Formula 1 cars
ive noticed they have almost no spray coming off the rear of that porsche during the rain segment. really hope they add some spray in.
Native multi channel LFE support would be awesome
12:06 is a road close to nordsleichfe, It would be insane if we would have to drive to the track to start the race or have like a freeroam road close to nords
You can use the "" key to go frame by frame on a video.
Visually the trailer looks nice, but I'll honestly say that the behavior of the cars doesn't convince me, the suspension work, the work of the tires on corners etc etc in this respect it looks very normal. I hope that a few months before the premiere they will be well worked on.
Now that I've heard your opinion, this game is giving me some insane Forza Motorsport 4 energy.
Fm4 is goated imo.
@@randomcallsign that game is a car nerd boner in digital form
2:57 we can see GOAT F1 circuit - VIETNAM 😀
What i'm most curious about, after seeing this, is physics engine supporting more than 4 wheels.
I hope for some more focus on single player and progression, guess on 150-200 cars, would be cool if you could upgrade your cars in game like in gt7 but i domt see that happening sadly.
Still i am hyped for it after the trailer.
As long as its nothing like ACC I'll be happy
Would love a nordshlife freerowm
@randomcallsign What was interesting when you paused the scene with the 1st silver Porsche. is that I noticed that the lines on the hood, I think were tracks. I immediately recognized laguna Seca.
Image they put cross play, people with console with joypad against people with cockpit on pc goin crazy because of that lol
People on console do have wheel support you know...
I would say for the detail comparison with GT7. Let’s see how much detail is in the cabin and exterior when driving.. GT7 renders differently (LESS) when it’s not in driving mode.
GT7 kills AC easily and stop stealing models from gran turismo
Lego cars confirmed 😊
Hopefully it will be supporting HDR 16 or 10 natively!!
UK licence plate on the mini, very interesting
Thank you Kunos for not placing severe orange peel on a damn Ferrari like Forza. 😂
Id like to do power adjustments on cars and tune suspension more heavy
i hope they support full force feature for fanatec dd extreme
7:15 that's brand hatch T1
1:04 of trailer, the lights from the car in front light up the track dynamically, which is missing in ACC
what about the part when the water flows uphill at imola 🤣
I really hope they have a decent multiplayer platform. That's the biggest downfall of AC and ACC
I hope they implement the modded cameras
Hopeful for this but after solar crown my thoughts are worrying. I will definitely try this for sure though.
No one should've got their hopes up for TDU - it was always likely to be dodgy given who the devs were and given that the originals were well loved but not actually that good.
The mini at 5:01 doesn't appears to have flexible tire or car frame to my eyes?
Another score to LFS?
Will they make user friendly interface? Menu? Key mapping, like all games that i played this was only one that i dripped because of that extremely bad and unfriendly menu and key mapping...oh and vr will be nice, but not from mod where u see nothing infront
my optimism is becoming less cautious
It is 640 from 1989 before Prost.
You forgot about the g-forces showing on the screen
the question is... how do we make it about initial d?
I don't believe it will look this gud! It's another trick by game industry...
has any kunos trailer ever been different in terms of graphics? Since AC the in game stuff is very similar.
@@randomcallsign I wouldnt worry so much about graphics when we already have some of the best graphical fidelity and so much more. EVO will have to genuinely break all normal standards of car roster, track roster, career and gameplay structure, and long term support to even put a small dent in OG AC.
@@AgentZ7 man the thing is, we need optimisations above all those, cant have good stuff like this if its a stutterfest
one thing im a bit concerned about is the fact that they're calling this "EVO" instead of "2".
Could this hint at that it's not an actual sequel, kinda like Competizione was?
The left Ferrari is not a Daytona 240 but a 250 GTO
