There was a great game by SEGA called F355 Challenge. It that game they just made it so if you rammed somebody your own car would lose traction and go careening out of control. They called it Gentleman driving and it was a perfect way to handle rammers.
I actually remember that game, I had it as a very young boy, like 5 or 6 years old. My dad got it for myself and my brother because of the Ferrari on the cover obviously.
@@gameclips5734 There is no perfect way but if it was like the game I mentioned above Super GT here would have never been knocked off track or lost any positions. Also it makes the driver more aware of hitting someone from behind even accidentally.
The explanation for tonybuilding87 turning to a rammer is very simple: in lap 1 he sees Super_GT in front of him and decided: I want to be (in)famous and be the subject in a Super_GT RUclips episode
Just had my very first online race yesterday. Started with someone glitching out the auto drive that caused the entire field (except for 1st) to be left behind. 1st place let everyone catch up and decided to have fun running people off the road for the entire duration. I managed to get past him and held 8/9 laps until he successfully got me, at which point he received a 3 second penalty which let me get close enough to squeak 1st away from him on the last lap. Not a great first race experience - I will admit though, it was fun avoiding him
You won’t really have *good* racing until at least like C/A in my opinion. I don’t trust anyone with safety B or lower, but once your safety is A or S it gets much better (far from perfect still but better)
@@The-Real-Taco if you have some races where you just race as clean as possible, avoid everyone, and pass mainly just as people ahead of/around you crash out, you’ll gain rank fast

I've learned my lesson enough times, if I ever get bumped off the track or shoved into a wall that person gets shadow realmed back to last place on the next turn if possible, not letting asshats like that ruin more than one lap per race.

I had the exact same experience , I think that the 6X credit boost is what brought these jerks about. Also I'm only DR C so there are a lot of inexperienced drivers that make big mistakes. I did get one good race where everyone was SR S. Sadly I lost 2nd trying to aggressively overtake very defensive 1st. I hit the curb on a late apex too hard and spun. Atleats I learned some defensive driving, maybe next time I'll have a chance at a podium finish.
Laps 4 and 5 of the last race after you reeled the guy back in was honestly quite entertaining, very solid racing. Shame he had to devolve to more ramming attempts on the last lap; absolutely deserved to meet Barry R.
@@axtra9561 forza is not console exclusive(steam and gamepass) thats why GT7 is able to be more streamlined, development is diffrent for pc, there are very few options for "simcade" games, in that corner, forza will always have an audience
Last race was awesome That's why I loved your Fortza videos. Rammers, and you dealing with them was so much more entertaining to watch than mostly clean races of gran turismo

That last race was so satisfying. Almost every GT7 race I get ran like that and so my main goal for that race then becomes ruining theirs and trying not to get a penalty for it.

is it possible that ramming is often due to low skill? Because when I play against AI in almost any racing game I'm banging into cars whether I want to nor not lol. Which is one reason I don't play this style of game online.

It gets better once your driver rating gets up more. Although there will always be “those people”
