2:20 🦵 Street fighter 💪🏾🤣🤣🤣 had to rewind that a few times
Same here, made my day!
Super nice Jon. There's something immensely satisfying when you go the whole hog on a wash/detail. The final wax/sealant coating is the icing on the cake and you can stand back in awe and just soak it all up, take some photos, whatever you prefer.
To me, car detailing is like therapy, even though it can be hard work, I enjoy it trmendously, especially when you have top notch products and quality equipment to play with.
I have even treated my Kranzle 1152 TST to a coating of Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine to keep it nice. I need counselling I think lol !!
Another 👌🏼 for the wax, my first mistake was I didn’t leave it to cure long enough (it started to rain 😱) and it was ‘draggy’ to remove. Second application was much better, it needs to go to an almost chalky consistency. Since the wax, I’ve used the ceramic detailer on my regular maintenance washes and it’s really good too, definitely seems to attract less dust than beadmaker.
Finally the golf gets some love! Nice to be cleaning a normal car for once 😂
i do get jealous of the e36 😂
Cost me money every time you put new video up John. Wax is coming on Tuesday can’t wait to give it a try
I find the Angelwax H2GO is great for glass, easy to apply and no smearing issues at all. Wipe on, leave for 15 minutes and an easy buff off.
do you put two coats on or just one ??
agreed, but i've been lazy of late, and just using AM Details Hybrid Detailer all over, inc. the glass, and works very well, and lasts about the same time.
Sorry for the delay, I do 2 coats as it is so easy to use. It might not last months but easy to reapply. Their glass cleaner is powerful too. ( BTW Do not leave the spray attachment in the bottle of H2GO though as it will gum up).
Can't wait for your review of Gyeon Ceramic Detailer, really interested to see how it performs compared to others
For a glass coating that's perfect without judder you have to try Gtechniq G1. Used it on loads of cars with zero problems with judder. Also lasts a year and more on daily drivers ( even with the other halves unsympathetic use)
Also use IPA or whatever brands panel wipe to remove the excess residue for a crystal finish.
This makes me want to buy all them nice gyeon products
Great video I love you showed the full car wash with the chatting on top. Can you do more videos like that and other products please. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Have used Tyre and Wet Coat and Tyre is my favourite of all the tyre products I have tried so far. Will try the others as soon as I have the chance. Great that Imran is now stocking more of them.
I’ve used the new glass repellent and saw same issues in removal. Several you tubers indicate a longer cure period of 15 minutes plus to get easier removal. I will try this in the future. It does work very well on the vehicles in my garage.
More on the WAX! That’s the product I was most intrigued by.
Great run down 🙏🏻 thank you ☺️
I've recently found muslin cloths are excellent for cleaning windows. Great cut from the weave and really absorbent. Cheap and easy to wash too.
Really good video and I have been testing the wax as a stand alone product for about ten weeks with very good results. I live in Nashville Tennessee and the temperature has been touching 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I had the same experience with the glass cleaner. I do really like their snow foam and APC and will have to purchase those. Thank you for the video.
Blimey Jon. Music in the background is my ringtone 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Had to stop the video a few times to check why my phone was ringing, but playing your video.
As usual. Good video content 👍
I’ve heard if you apply the glass sealant to the wiper blades it can help
100% with you on the glass sealant. Nothing beats a freshly polished, untreated windscreen.
Jon I use to work in a glass company for 12yrs and methylated spirits was all we used to guarantee no streaking. You can use it neet like we do or you can use 1/3 methylated spirits with a little (teaspoon) dishwashing liquid and hot water. For the windscreen I'd try it with dishwashing liquid otherwise it'll be too clean and you'll need a little slip for the blades. You could also put the methylated spirits with washing up liquid and water in the windscreen bottle, not sure the ratio for all year round streak free windows. Be aware it's flammable
its a bit like IPA alcohol solvent. similar sort of thing yer I can see that working but its very harsh neat. if you get overspray etc.. I use IPA water and tiny bit of surfex works great.
Any window treatment I would keep it dry for as long a possible. Also for the hazing take off the wiper blades. Coat them with the sealant and leave them overnight. I find You get smoother wiping and less hazing. May be just my imagination but does for things like the CP treatment.
I use the gyeon wax and ceramic detailer combo. Works extremely well and keeps the beading at crazy levels.
yes its a cool combo.
The ceramic detailer sits okay over the wax then.
Would can coat / wet coat > wax > ceramic detailer be any good?
Thanks for the interesting and informative video, Jon. You do a very good job in showcasing these products, with excellent commentary.
I've used the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer on top of my Opticoat Pro + coated black car with an Opticoat Hyperseal layer on top. The increase in gloss, slickness and hydrophobicity was significant and my windows are now easy to clean with no streaking. I'm very impressed with these Gyeon products and plan to start using more of them on my car.
Brilliant video Jon 👍. I'm definitely gonna try out the wax in the future. I know what you mean about glass sealant, but I got angelwax h2go about 3 months ago now and it's amazing stuff. So easy to apply,no juddering or smearing and still as strong as it was the day I applied it.
9:03 - no streaking or nasty wiper skipping with Soft99 Glaco. You should try it. They actually copied their design.
13:42 - Would've been better to also throw in Surfex or Touchless to put them to shame :D
Jon, i really think you need to reconsider your pre wash routine, going in and making contact prior to pressure washing your snow foam is not a good habit. Making contact with that detailing factory brush with just rubbing dirt around before pressure washing it. I've been on forums where they would absolutely excommunicate you from the detailing "scene" if they caught you doing it. hehahahaha :) 😁😂
That water behaviour is insane, you must giggle everytime it rains !!
Gyeon are a very interesting brand! The golf looked like a show car when you were buffing that wax off!!
Really looking forward to seeing how the SiO2 detailer compares to GT Sigma and the others...
Good video, enjoyed 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
jon I am a massive fan of glass hydrophobididty product. You must use a Glass Compound/ Glass Cleaner compound to really remove the contamination.....apply it with the PXE 80 , im telling you if you do that then apply your glass sealant/coating you will have no issues.
Gyeon just keeps pumping out the products! I've used the Gyeon Wax twice now and I love the results...what's old is new again 😎 I did use the provided applicator initially but due to the smallish working area I used a traditional square mf applicator the 2nd time around.
Thanks for the massive review Jon👍👍
yer bigger applicator get it spread a lot quicker. buff is really nice on the product which is important as well.
@@ForensicDetailing absolutely and indirectly this video inspired to apply an old friend...Klasse sealant glaze! I have this method for application and there's something satisfying about "wax on, wax off"😎👍
I love infinity wax qdx ceramic spray. Does everything I want it to.
The gyeon wax has a lot of the old booster for coatings in it. The wax works great on coated cars too
then the coating sort of loses the point.. if you put wax over it
@@martin1649 Its not regular wax. It has coating booster and florien in it. So it was developed to be a topper to a coating or a standalone product by itself.
@@joeydny5816 looking at how the water jumps off it would appear to work well over a coated car to avoid / protect the coating from water marks. Like an extra layer of protection.
Great to see the Golf getting some care for a change👍🏻
Will the restart shampoo harm/remove any existing coatings? I am assuming so with a name like restart but you know what they say about assumptions.
not to any measurable extent due to concentration. you can do normal FR remover decon on a coated car. so now imagine using restart with 15ml of solution to like litres of water... its a lot lower concentration than an FR normally would be. but ultimately without testing I could only guess...
good reviews. I want to try the wax and detialer
I mean i hate having a dirty windshield too but damn, he takes it to a whole 'nother level 😳
I think I’m gonna start trying their products, especially the wax, have you ever tested any of the Yum Car products?
Try Gyeon wetcoat, it give unreal results for basically zero work
The wax is fantastic stuff use it on my focus rs mk2 in ultimate green and it really pops in the sun
@@adyg8221 what’s it like if you get it on the plastic trim? I use MeguIars ultimate liquid wax and you can apply that anywhere
@@p8rdm I put it all over mate no issues at all easy on easy of perfect finish hey. When you wash it it’s like it’s nearly dry straight away hey
Which is better BH or Gyon?
Hi Jon,
Could you do a test like this with the Koch chemie products? I am really curious about their snow foam in particular, and the rest of their products are just absolutely amazing to work with, for a really good price imo. Would be really cool in comparison with the gyeon🚗👌🏻
Brillant video john. Would love to see this sort of video with garage therapy products.
2:18 Ohhhhh, that got me good. An actual, real life LOL. Any chance of detailing the tune playing in the background too please, Jon?
Great video Jon. The street fighter kick to the floor mat done me😂😂
The 30 min cure time for the wax, would that apply in a bit of sunlight, humid day? Wonder if it would cause issues. (Summer wax product)
Otherwise it looks awesome, as is the ceramic detailer and wet coat.
yer this 30 minute thing, they must know something about it to state this. its seems fine after a ten min buff but maybe this comparmises durability?
consider blasting the foam and then pre-contact wash using a spray bootled schampoo od apc mix to brush details. Safer and uin my routine.
Great review Jon as always, so frustrating when you prep something like you did with the windscreen and after applying the product it's not 100%.
Always been bit snotty with these products
I’ve got Prep! That’s fantastic but that wax Jeez that’s on the list now
I like the glass sealents, normally rain X, but trying h2go, but prep is everything matey,
good vids jon
You've added a atleast a grand to the value of the Golf now, if my Mrs left her car like that inside I dont think I'd have a Mrs by now.😉
WOW INSANE HYDROPHOBIDIDITY
Hey Jon where can we get those forensic detailing hoodies 🧐
Im gonna look into merch at some point mate no doubt mate prolly just need to research options so its good. these hoodies are decent but not amazing I have run out now.
@@ForensicDetailing defo look into them it would be massive growth for the channel, just need something thats 100% cotton and heavy cotton so it's more durable like fusso 😅 I'm double the size of you and would need 3xl or 4xl , I'd be proud and love to be walking around rocking these hoodies same time promoting and supporting the channel 🔥😎✊🏾
do you ever put your glass sealants on the wipers too? really helps with the judder
To think I had a mk6 Golf and hated every minute of owning it, automated car washes was the best it ever got.
Great video as always
Wax looks awesome. Hydrophobics just as good as a coating. However, I don’t think it will last nearly as long as soft99 fusso.
Jon. There is an issue with the car. How is the passenger has the pedals?
That wax looks amazing !!
Nice. Can APC be used on interior buttons?
Good vid John, the wax looks stand out. have you tested collinite 845? What’s your thoughts?
What effect will BH auto foam have on stripping 5he wax
this the soap im talking about this gyeon soap or carpro lift please respond
This should have been Titled ‘Genuine Crime Scene gets Forensicated’ 👍🏼😎
Bilt Hamber fans furious
BH products are the best overall
What about "Restart"? Is is good or not?
Love your videos John
For the window sealant you need at least 12h of curing... With fusso glaco I don't get any smearing leaving the product to dry fully on the glass
the thing with it is. there will be a way to make it work, no doubt. so it will be a case of talking to gyeon or looking on their channel for tips and tricks etc.. using more, etc.. but on the flip side as a review we need to also present negatives when encountered.. so yer review aside I need to learn to use the product to give me results better , as opposed to thinking its down to the product.
@@ForensicDetailing sometimes I see more useful to see forums or yt videos, sometimes professionals or even amateurs find better application methods
I reviewed the gyeon wax on my channel John its great stuff
Great stuff isnt it Kiran.
@@ForensicDetailing yhhh proper was very suprised with results but its gyeon what can I say 👌
Hi. Let’s talk about Gyeon restart wash. I’m planning Polish car. Do you think it’s enough wash car and use this shampoo or/and use fallout as well? Greetings. Tom
If in dought get a full blooded FR out. And the clay.
I use restart wash in the form cannon that way there's more product
Geyon is just plain cool.
Really comes up well on a dull colour
Carbon Collective Satsuma for the win!
Don't need wax..........but at 1am I find myself ordering wax 🤦🏻♂️😂😂😂😂
We have all been there 😅😅
Good stuff! How long did this job take you?
Where could I get both but mainly the apc that you tried on the grim?
3:46 Why so aggressive? 😆
How does it compare to Turtle Wax 75th anniversary?
Not at all sure that aniron fall out remover is entirely safe. Is there a risk of picking up the metal particles with the mit and putting some micro scratches in the clear coat? Would you recommend the snow foam over Bilt Hamber auto foam? or the APC over surfex HD?
well first up use fallout remover as a precursor to claying to make claying more effective. if you clay you must polish.
ive never seen swirls put in from using an FR with a mitt, but logically like you say it would be risky. but the tiny fragments of iron are less risky to paintwork than bits of grit that get in the mitt.. so in reality you are 100% fine doing this.
Are you digging for gold with that brush on the rubber trim-- doing a lot of damage🙁
Thanks for the video John 👍 does the new foam having cutting power on par with BH? I believe the original version didn't perform too well in your first test
No BH has more cut. But it's much better than the previous version
How is the Durability of the wax?
I see revivals shine are using g a picture of your garage
?
15.58 Flourine elements? Forever chemicals/ PFAS. That's nasty stuff mate :(
this gyeon soap or lift
Can we talk about the wipers? Up or down? 😬
where can i purchase the other fall out remover cleaner you compared to?
thank you
In2detailing
@@ForensicDetailing thank you!
Was that rust at about 5:35 mark (to bottom left in the corner)?
Yes, that was rust.
Would it be ok to apply two coats of Gyeon Wax? Extra Protection? Gloss? Hydrophobics?
Yes but not extra gloss. It might improve durability by a small margin.
Wax looks insane
Hi John heard of people adding 100ml of Surfex HD to snowfoam have you tried this?
you dont need to with autofoam or touchless. you could spritz surfex on in a sprayer at 5% pir proper to prewashing if you want massive extra kick.
Hi mate I like you videos just one valuable information I missing… can be apply outside on the sunny day not everyone is lucky and have big garage like you 😉🤣 thanks is you adding to pls thanks Pete
untested just was not hot enough really. I would like to know how they play in the sun as well.
In terms of durability which one wins? Fusso coat or gyeon wax?
Fusso m8
shoryuken is a dragon punch not kick...casual ...*rolleyes*
Love the wax that much I got two
Suggest not rubbing paint -- if you have to rub paint -- you're using the wrong products - just creating swirls and scratches
just on the off chance your serious, the car has dents and dinks and scraps and failing clearcoat all over it. It gets cleaned once a year. I will drive the nutz off it until it blows up and my aim is to spend the least amount of time possible cleaning it. you been watching too many detailing forums because you think daily drivers should be like wrapped in cotten wool when they get smashed to bits by other people slamming their doors into it etc.. but yer good one. You also rub and marr the crap out of it when you clay bar the car dont you.. so hoggs hair brushing out seals hardly that bad... can machine polish it etc. when people make comments like this it just tells me you have only recently discovered detailing because you apply detailing theories to hamered mangled dailies.
Have you had the chance to try Extra Tough APC yet?
no mate it uses caustic soda which I avoid typically in things I use on my cars continually.
@@ForensicDetailing do you have a video explaining its effects? I didn’t realize that and just bought a gallon. BH stuff sounds amazing but its about double the price over here in the States. I already bought some Touchless and was really really close to going with Surfex but decided against it. Maybe I should reconsider.
@@ForensicDetailing even when they state it’s automotive paint/glass safe you still don’t care for it? I tried to do a bit of research but I couldn’t find too much out there.
I don’t think there’s a video in Johns entire channel where he’s not out of breath 😂
ironically people that comment on this dont realise that audio on most devices in auto mode locks onto signals and amplies the level. So of course when your detailing your gonna breath a bit harder but it gets distorted or raised up. Again ive talked about this to try and reduce all the people that like to comment on the mundane stuff to try and reduce it down.
@@ForensicDetailing chin up John. I meant no disrespect. Appreciate you calling out the mundane comments. Duly noted.
Wow Jon. You spend more time on cleaning pads than you do on the wife's car. Tut tut. You must be in the dog house🤔
Looks like the Fuso Soft 99 will be getting retired.
Video just posted up.
The reply above is 2 months old.
Confused.
@@philtaylor5053 I can only assume it was a patreon upload before, or it's a YT time glitch which seems to happen sometimes

Interesting products Jon, are they as anti-corrosive and biodegradable as BH? Or is that another episode in the making?
Im not sure mate you would need to like side by side testing on a product by product basis. I would imagine they are biodegradable though or I dont think you could sell them in europe generally.
The level of flourine required for the beading is a worry. Isn't this a 'forever chemical'?
You can't take this out of water so we'll all be drinking it along with our micro plastic soup.

Where did you get your bucket brush holders?

@@ForensicDetailing thanks so much. I've been looking around and the "detailer" ones are so expensive. Absolute legend, keep up the awesome videos ❤️
