I have used the Adams graphine detailer as a 3 month topper on my Adams graphine coated car. It works extremely well in this roll. Getting excellent results from it.
John, I love your videos and have learned alot from you. I recently PPF'ed my car from my detailing guy and I asked him for something to maintain the car while not being heavy on the pocket as the PPF was quite expensive. He handed me a big bottle of GYEON Ceramic Detailer but I never used it as I thought it might not be that good and he just upselled me this bottle but after watching your video, I think he did me solid there.
I watched mainly for the Gyeon vs Adam's comparison. Your results perfectly matched those of other reputable detailers on youtube. Love your take on things. Great as always ✌️🤘
I like the instructions review you do. These complex compounds need clear instructions for best results. Ditto for naming the products clearly for their actual purpose. I agree with your description of a QD for my purposes - good work, thanks.
I only have experience with Adam's and I've used it wet AND dry and I'm actually on my 2nd bottle since spring, same for Adam's CS3. Speaking of CS3, that's the one you would use if the car is slightly dusty, yet it leaves protection as well🛎😉
Used the Gyeon and love it as a drying aid. Usually topping up with each wash , but gives good beading etc and helps keep the car clean between washes.
The Adam’s is a great clay lube with rinseless. Rather than using solvents like the coatings it uses a heavier surfactant that does lay down thick. Have had no issues with marring or it getting in the way with the process. Such a good product in all conditions and a little goes a long way.
Thanks Jon, your reviews are always so thorough, informative, and on the level. Will you do another "Best Quick Detailer Ever" series pitting the winning products from these lineups against each other? This new Gyeon Ceramic Detailer seems quite good - it would be nice to see how it compares to Carpro Elixir, Sonax BSD, Bilt Hamber Auto-q.d., Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, etc.
I'm a big fan of GT range. Minor issue I have in the test is that there is actually a QD option which would 'make up' the points that Sigma lost... But then you have to draw a line somewhere with these tests and pick the one that covers most bases I suppose. I've only ever used Sigma and the QD as top ups for their ceramic sealant (/THREE: CS) - the QD weekly, and Sigma every 6-8 weeks. I do understand though that that means having 2 bottles/products... All subjective, as you say Jon, but the Gyeon range does look good too 👍🏼👍🏼
I find myself coming back to your comparison videos even though I have seen them multiple times. Great videos. So in Australia, gyeon + Adams are both roughly the same price. Gyeon feels incredibly slick to me. But I found Adams as a drying aid or detail spray looked better in my black paint. The paint had alot more depth and was darker. Gyeon wasn't. Other than. That, they were exactly the same. That's my experience.
From personal experience, I can say that Gyeon stuff tends to be on the pricey side (here in America, anyway), but it's pretty much always top of class in whatever category you're talking about. Their Wetcoat might still be my single favourite auto detailing product, period, in terms of how well it does what it claims to, ease of use, just everything. They really know their stuff.
I’ve use Adam’s derail spray, Lithium Color crush and Carpro Elixir detail sprays. Honestly Jon my favorite are Turtle Wax: Flex Wax, Seal and Shine and their Ceramic Spray
I sprayed Garage Therapy Slash Two Colon Sigma all over my bright red Honda S2000 to top up the 2 week old Bilt Hamber Laboratories Finis Wax LSP product that I applied 2 weeks ago. The finish on the bodywork, wing mirrors, bumpers and alloys is even more vibrant than it was 2 weeks ago when I applied the Finis Wax, which is, to start with, a very glossy product. I'm too terrified to use these on the windows however. The Meg-Wires Perfect Clarity Glass Sealant took care of those.
@@GarageTherapyOfficial No worries. Just after buying the car, I used the Zero Decon Shampoo and the One Wheel Shampoo which are amazing. I didn't know they would transform this car like they did, especially at such tiny dilution ratios.
Wish there was a channel like yours in America. I mean there are some similar but not quite to this level and I’ve seen them all. I just wish I could see these vids with the products we mostly see in the USA. On the gloss scores, with those readings prolly should have given them all the same score.
I think GT Sigma is not a QD and Maz will say if you want a QD, buy their Two QD which is an excellent drying aid and has a great bulk price. I think Sigma is really glossy the next day as well, a great video as ever.
I have been using GT SIGMA for about 8 months. Topped every 5 weeks or so. And it's extremely Hydrophobic. It also adds more gloss than most of the products here.
@@ForensicDetailing I have not tried the Adams and the In2detailing offerings. I do like the Gyeon Ceramic QD but like you, I like my products in 5L offerings.
only just discovered your channel.. dont know how lol. love all the content. i was never even into just washing my car lol now i have a pressure washer and i want to buy loads of products and go mad. thats how you know youre making good videos. :)
Jon.... Maybe consider testing some Pyramid Car Care products. I have their Alloy Armour and Quick Detailer. They are both excellent and very easy to use with no issues at all. The qd leaves a glossy slick finish at a very decent price. Cracking test as always mate. I have the gyeon ceramic qd and find it gives a very reflective, shiny finish. The bonnet was a little warm when I applied the gyeon qd and found it smeared quite a bit. The pyramid qd on the other hand.... Zero smearing.
Ever tried Meguiars M799 Bead Booster? It's dilutable, so can be used as sealant, quick detailer or drying aid. 1 liter bottle is 50€, so diluted 1:3 it's 12,5€/liter
Another interesting video Jon 👍🏻 I have few thoughts, I'm wondering thelat the GT Sigma is kinda at a disadvantage because it's not really a QD, it's in the middle of a Ceramic Sealant and a QD, they do have a QD but not sure it's got any Ceramic properties, also I'd like to know what the gloss results are after 24hrs of curing as the Sigma seems to make the colour on the car really pop after curing, especially if you've applied 2 coats, I do like the Gyeon one tho, as for the In2Detailing one, I suppose if you're using it on a car regularly and can get it cheap enough then it's ok. 👍🏻
Hi, We do not classify Sigma as a QD and thus have tuned the product to be a topper to our existing product within the GT system. Sigma main aim is to give real depth of gloss, slickness and protective qualities. As such other areas such as hydrophobic behaviour is less important than the other metrics we are concentrating on.
Can you do a video on washing microfiber cloths ( what to use?) ,with all these new ceramic sprays are normal washing cleaning them properly etc Really enjoying the vids thanks
Sigma is my favourite and I have 3 of the others. Gyeon I have but definitely not as slick as my Sigma so little confused by your test. But great video as always
My thoughts exactly. Loved the way that on the slickness test Jon seemed to grab the gyeon test piece and give it a good rub up and down, almost in the hopes of helping it on its way lol. I don't really think Sigma belongs in this test to be honest.
thanks for all the testing Jon, quite like the QDX Graphene, only £17 for the 500ml, but starting to test some more GT products, but i think you missed a trick not adding a TW & AM Details Hybrid product -- Hybrid Detailer is my go-to product for drying aid and LSP, works on all surfaces.
I bought turtle wax ceramic, the new black bottle range, found it hard to buff off. Got a video idea...seat belt cleaning...to jet wash, toothbrush, carpet brush, degreaser? My orange seat belts need sorting..and I need your trusted recommendation!
How does gyeon ceramic detailer compare to wet coat is the beading similar ? I’m not sure what one to get I think for most practical to use would be the ceramic detailer ?
Quick question Jon, I was going to go with the Gyeon wax and then use the Gyeon ceramic detailer as a top up in between waxes. Would this gain me anything or would I be better just using the normal quick detailer? Appreciate your input!
Would infinity graphene QDX not be a better comparison compared to the Adam’s? With Adam’s being in the US it would have been good to see if Turtle Wax graphene (don’t laugh) could hold it’s own against the more competent *small* companies
Very interesting :0 I thought that the Gyeon would win that. What about layering some of these products, and how does that affect water behaviour, durability, ect? Like the Gyeon wax under the Gyeon QD? Or another question I have is how does other Qds compare to these, like carpro ech20 as a QD, or ONR as a QD?
Gyeon is great, but one thing about him annoys me and I don't reach for him. attracting dust! definitely more than other qd with or without SIO2 (CP Elixir, Prostaff CC Watergold, ech2o, BSD, turtlewax seal'n shine even Tac system shinee and others ...)
@@ForensicDetailing Thanks! My car has DiamondBrite on it when bought and i use the Glaze but always wondered if i should use a different one and if there are better.
Gyeon says that because they are being honest and don't want people to mess up their paint. If you are using a quick detailer to "quick wash" or wipe dust off your car, you are marring your paint and ruining your finish. No detailer has enough slickness to remove dust and dirt without swirling the paint.
they are rally honest with their star ratings as well some products have 1 star in certain catagorys of performance. And they say their SI02 spray cure has 6 weeks durability only. love it when brands do this.
Are these in the same category as spray sealants as I was looking to try something up against gtechniq c2v3 so was gonna try the Gyeon ceramic detailer but does it do the same job ? As it’s marketed as a topper for ceramic coatings
kind of yes, although on paper a detailer should be more about tidying up the paintwork... spray sealant is more long term protection but these ceramic detailers seem to be closer to spray sealants sometimes.
Hi John, I've been looking for a basic, no nonsense quick detailer to aid in lubrication during the drying stage, and remember the video you did a while back using bilt hamber's offering at a 10:1 ratio. i'm not looking to use them for lengthy protection, literally just to help add that lubrication. Do you still use bilt hamber's stuff, and what are your thoughts on garage therapy's standard 'quick detailer'? great content as usual :)
yes I use Bh at 1:9 with DI water, and also Koch Chemie FSE as a descalar QD. All these products in this test I tend to think of them more as paintwork dressings than QD's but thats just my mindset.
I know its very subjective, but I actually think you were wrong in hydrophobidity and chemical resistance results between GT and Infinity Wax. Seriously, i honestly feel the video does not support the Infinity Wax receiving higher marks in both of those categories. Also, I'm not sure what you did with the Sigma in the slickness test, but I've experienced amazing slickness with it.
Hi Jon great video as always.Shocked that the gyeon ceramic detailer is only £9.50 retail price for 400ml.Where most ceramic detailers are usually around £15.Just seems cheap?
the gyeon products are not actually that expensive a lot of the time. bit of varience there some can be but most of the time they are on the market. Their bulk prices can be expensive as it comes in 4litres (korean thing)
@@catguy64 I know. If you watch the video you’ll see at the beginning, he is comparing spray detailers, and even deducts points for not been quick detailers.
many things really, spray and shine, safer way to wipe a surface down if its dusty but you dont want to wash, remove finger marks or smudges, sometimes tidy up trim glass or plastics, help dry the car, add protection or top up protection.
Personally I don't think graphene products are not as good as ceramic SI O2 infused coatings. But graphene is still in it infancy and in time will blow away ceramics, IMO!
ive tested DD SI with lots of other products a few times I think but you can never really guess how a product would do in the specific test. the problem really with these SI sprays is you can take your pick they all tend to be slick, and last out well. These have become really popular products.
Throw out the gloss numbers. To the human eye they’re all the same. Been scientifically proven the human eye can’t tell the difference in 5 +/- gloss units. In other words even if one was 95 and the other was 91 the human eye can’t tell the difference. So my point is I value ease of use/water beading/slickness in that order. Great video.
Yep, I have often wondered about this. Sometimes it's best just to use the product YOU like the best no matter what category of product it is. I love Bilt Hamber stuff for example, you can't go far wrong if all you ever used was their stuff. I also like Garage Therapy stuff, all good products
@@steverabbits here in America we don’t get the Bilt Hamber products. As far as a quick detailer I try and use the ones specific to, or from the same company, whatever sealant or coating is on the car
Keep the gloss numbers; wouldn’t be Forensic if you didn’t have some objective numbers, rather than a subjective view. People can ignore them if they like…
@@ToshYusaf normally I’d agree if there were a 2 or 3 number difference in gloss, however in this test the top three were 93.2, 93.1, 93.0……so if the 93 one is slicker and beads water better then it’s the one for me and I’ll ignore the other two😂. Plus who’s to say he redoes the gloss the next day and the numbers could very easily be reversed.
The Kwartz wheel cleaner I tried was very disappointing. Bottle was a bit bland, too thin and very little cleaning power at their recommendation. Didn’t foam all that much - compared to something like BH Autowheel it’s in a different Universe....
The Adam’s Graphene is not their Ceramic Spray or Ceramic Coating. It doesn’t claim to be a ceramic. You are not comparing apples to apples. This product is meant to be a topper or drying aide
yes 10 minute cure time really means to me its more a spray sealant rather than a detailer. I guess its splitting the atom but I think talking about this stuff is relevent.
I don't believe in ceramic quick detailers. it looks to be just diluted sio2 wax or sealants sold as separate products to increase revenue. ... so that's what I do. I use AM Details Hybrid ceramic spray or Groits 3 in 1 ceramic diluted with di water 5 to 1 in a separate bottle labeled detailer. they both are excellent stand alone protectants as well as drying aides anyway but don't need to be applied full strength every wash. so diluted they work wonders and provide lubricity. a great way to remove very light dust using damp microfiber. I just mist it on wet surface after my contact wash and rinse. then reapply full strength when or if protection fades or if im doing a complete decon. but I really believe most of these detail sprays are the mfgs diluted versions of their main protectant. so it seems.
i think they are good but yer price is like a bit of a problem. I mainly use BH QD and mix it down 1:9 or even 1:20 with DI water. So it costs me like tiny amounts per litre. or TW seal and shine the USA version is very good and cheap.
@Forensic Detailing Channel I use that seal n shine as well. very good for price. also tw hybrid solutions ceramic spray another great one. durable like the griots 3 in 1 and AM Detail Hybrid ceramic spray those are my go to sealants that's last and are affordable. I will try your dilutions. thanks. you are an amazing detailer and provide invaluable info to us all. keep it up thanks
I honestly don’t understand these products though. Why add ceramic to a quick detailer it just seems counter intuitive. And the marketing and instructions seem to mostly treat them as protection products.
its a fair point mate. but they dont add ceramic as such. these are not the same materials as ceramic coatings. But typically ceramic spray detail sprays seem to offer good slickness and perhaps better durability. they are popular. part of the interest comes from hijacking the word ceramic yes but I also think the product deliver to a certain extent and are not particularly expensive.
we will always compare price so those that are interested in it can factor it, those that are not can disregard it. Its never pointless how much something costs relative to other products, yes a shit product can do well on the price comparison but it will get routed out later on. You have other guys saying its pointless to compare gloss etc.. others say beading is pointless dont compare this etc.. and value for money is obviously not pointless. jesus if I didnt include price comparison I would get crucified and rightly so.

John, you missed Blitz Detailing Ceramic Detailer ('Detailer' doesn't do it justice, definitely more of a spray coating)
I just wish you had Ethos' Resist instead of Adams.. good demo and cost analysis as usual.
Ethos ReSist is the best I have used.
Resist is a sealant. I think he is comparing only detailers.
@@SpartanKyuubi Title says spray coating. 🤷♂️
@@catguy64 I know. If you watch the video you’ll see at the beginning, he is comparing spray detailers, and even deducts points for not been quick detailers.
@@SpartanKyuubi ok
I’ve never understood what exactly a “Quick Detailer” is. Can anyone enlighten me?
www.detailingwiki.org/maintenance/what-is-a-quick-detailer/
many things really, spray and shine, safer way to wipe a surface down if its dusty but you dont want to wash, remove finger marks or smudges, sometimes tidy up trim glass or plastics, help dry the car, add protection or top up protection.
some of them are for wiping light dust others can boost the protection
Personally I don't think graphene products are not as good as ceramic SI O2 infused coatings. But graphene is still in it infancy and in time will blow away ceramics, IMO!
Purely out of interest Jon, would Bouncer's Done and Dusted Si Edition fall into this category?
ive tested DD SI with lots of other products a few times I think but you can never really guess how a product would do in the specific test. the problem really with these SI sprays is you can take your pick they all tend to be slick, and last out well. These have become really popular products.
@@ForensicDetailing How do u compare gyeon ceramic detailer vs meguiars ceramic detailer?? Which one do u think is better??
I agree to. but theres so little to test we would loose too much to "not" do it. but yer I hear ya :)
The new Infinity Wax QDX graphene is far easier to use than the ceramic leaves the paint really slick.
Where's Turtle Wax ???
How do u compare gyeon ceramic detailer vs meguiars ceramic detailer?? Which one do u think is better??
The Kwartz wheel cleaner I tried was very disappointing. Bottle was a bit bland, too thin and very little cleaning power at their recommendation. Didn’t foam all that much - compared to something like BH Autowheel it’s in a different Universe....
The Adam’s Graphene is not their Ceramic Spray or Ceramic Coating. It doesn’t claim to be a ceramic. You are not comparing apples to apples. This product is meant to be a topper or drying aide
LOL. You scored Adams with a total of 26 however, 4+2+3+3+3+5+8= 28. Just saying...
thats woefull effort from myself. getting the numbers wrong thanks for correction.
@@ForensicDetailing Stuff happens....Love your channel.
you might want to add "detailer" to the title.
The instructions for the Infinity wax basically make it not a detail spray.....
yes 10 minute cure time really means to me its more a spray sealant rather than a detailer.

I will try your dilutions. thanks. you are an amazing detailer and provide invaluable info to us all. keep it up thanks
any plans for an OnlyFans account Jon? ;) ;) ;)
You forgot car-pro Elixiser, surely it would have won
He has done it in the past. And no, it would not do as good. Elixir gives good protection, but it’s not slick and it’s very low on gloss enhancement.
@@SpartanKyuubi exlisier would have won change my mind. It won the other tests.
@@DavidC1 it hasn’t not won any other test on this channel
@@SpartanKyuubi yes it has
I honestly don’t understand these products though.

You want a bad product...? F11 is BAD as it gets..
I hear you. The price point and the advertising methods and false claims just signal a red flag to me.
The value for money is pointless, an awful product could get 10 points due to cost. Rant over!
we will always compare price so those that are interested in it can factor it, those that are not can disregard it.
Sonax ultra ceramic detailer, you’re welcome!
