      Welcome to bikt hamber it's very hard to beat this stuff I am yet to find a product. If you find in the summer or windy conditions the snowfoam comes off quickly or dries up try adding 30-50ml of another known thick foam so it clings longer and if you car us extremely dirty and left for months like someone else mentioned add some bilt hamber surfex hd to the mix 🔥😎

    Thank you for taking the time to conduct the review Jon. As always we are very appreciative of your channel and the service your channel gives to our industry.
    Some information that will help answer some questions you and the viewers have posted:
    1) Foam Thickness.
    This is an incredibly concentrated product. As a result, you need less to gain a good amount of foam. When we have developed this snow foam we tested the most popular pressure washer and lances setups on the market. We found that at this concentration of product, it done the best across the many permutations of setup (GPM, Orifice Sizes, Snow foam lance, hard vs soft water etc.
    The benefits of a concentrated product are that you can dial in the foam to the performance of the setup one has to get a nice wet consistency of foam. We do not recommend having a thick foam as shown in this review as it doesn't do enough work on the dirt. of course at high concentration less product does more and thus cost per use falls.
    2) Cost.
    We are a small brand and we are trying our very best to create the best products we can with the resources we have at our disposal. We do not have the same buying power or facilities as some of the fantastic brands do out there. The biggest factors for the cost are concentration, high quality non caustic raw materials and the R&D we put in. We feel the concentration brings the cost per wash on par with the market. It is something we will try to improve when the global economic situation improves.
    3) Cleaning Power.
    The product is a powerful pre-wash. To extract the best performance, you have to firstly choose the right ratio/pir for the dirt level of the car and also use the foam setting on the lance to dial in the consistency of the foam to ensure the wetting is at appropriate levels. Soon as this is balanced well the cleaning performance really shines through at great dilution rates.
    4) Foam Lances.
    We have found that the MJJC produces too much foam for a product as concentrated as /ONE: Snowfoam at its fullest setting. We do recommend people dial back the foam setting to create that great balance of foam wetness we are after. We have found that other lances produce better results out the box at the fullest setting.
    5) Product placement.
    It was a tricky task not fit the Snow Foam into our system as Decon Shampoo is so effective and powerful. One of the reasons why we placed this into the maintenance side is due to its non-caustic nature and its ability to be used at a low dilution and still achieve great results. A snow foam needs to be usable all year round not just for winter. If the foam is too thin, its not good in the summer, if the foam is too thick, it doesn’t wet the panel thus doesn’t clean as well.
    We hope this adds some value to the discussion. We also hope you continue to test and adjust for a wetter foam as we are confident you will unlock the cleaning power you are after and add another plus mark to the review.

      *The benefits of a concentrated product are that you can dial in the foam to the performance of the setup one has to get a nice wet consistency of foam. We do not recommend having a thick foam as shown in this review*
      The product instructions say to calculate PIR on the highest foam setting, and for best results spray onto the car in the high foam setting. The product specifications say its formulated to be High Foaming yet it now works better with wet lower foaming. Too many contradictions here but for the money I had high expectations and thought it was average.

    Hello Jon from Australia🙃 I'm sure this will open a can of worms but to help any brand of snow foam you should start like this : rear of car 1st starting at lowest areas and then carry on to the lowest areas on sides front and then work your way up till you have finished at the roof...This will give your snow foam the longest dwell time at the dirtiest areas.. When it comes to rinsing off again start at the bottom and work your way up so you can easily see where you have rinsed off rather than washing it all off in some random rinse method.. think about it it does make perfect sense...😉

    • @BrianW1612
      @BrianW1612 Год назад

      Makes absolutely 0 difference to the outcome & if you need to rinse bottom to top in order to remember what parts of the car you have rinsed... well you shouldn't be allowed to operate a pressure washer unsupervised 😉

  • @petermartin9754

    Hi Jon
    I know someone has already commented to say it does not perform well with the MJJC Lance. However, I used it with same lance and ratio as you did and was fairly disappointed. So contacted Maz and he suggested turning the dial down slightly with the mjjc. So I did and also changed the orifice for the bigger size. Results were much better and on par with autofoam in my opinion. So the key trick is to not have it to thick as it needs to be wet. Basically thicker is not better

    • @BrianW1612
      @BrianW1612 2 года назад

      But by turning down the dial, you are reducing the product ratio, so you need to add more product to bring it back to the advised PIR. Adding more product then makes the foam thicker again so that doesn't solve the problem.
      The product needs to be revised to remove some of the foaming agents if the thickness of the foam hampers it.

    I’m sorry Jon don’t use the MJJC lance the best way to use this snowfoam is 100ml to 1:5 litres of water in a pump sprayer allow to dwell treat it as a citrus product then if you are going to use a snowfoam lance use anything but the MJJC lance it makes the foam far to dry I found this in tests before I reviewed it also 50ml/60ml with 500ml of water in my BigBoi lance worked perfectly I should also point out the name is just basic to keep things simple it doesn’t effect the products performance I’m sure people in the comments section will disagree with me on my comments but these are my findings after doing my own tests many thanks Jon for your videos 🙌🏻🇬🇧

      if we use it in a pump sprayer we are not following the instructions on the bottle. we followed the instructions to the letter and showed results. Ive also used this in MTM and my PA lances since Im having similar results. Its a decent product with high quality materials used but I would like to see the foaming action lowered a bit so I can up the concentration without it getting too thick. Other than that I think its a winner.

    I personally found it good at removing dirt but really poor at removing traffic film on my Ranger.
    I've not gone back to it since. I much prefer the zero decon.
    It's very odd because other than me, then Nick at Gillywash, and now you, everyone else has not seen such issues and vehemently argues to the contrary. I was ultimately *extremely* disappointed.
    As for people saying don't use a snow foam lance, but to use a pump sprayer.... the clue is in the name.
    And those saying don't use the MJJC lance, that may be true, but where does the instructions state that? It is the ONLY snow foam I know of that's "funny" about lance choice. You don't get that "fussiness" with any of the others, and they just work. Jon did exactly as I did, FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS, and got the same results. What hope has anyone who just buys this stuff got (who isn't in the GT discussion Facebook group constantly reading posts about "what dilution are you using" 30 times a week, trying to find the best mix, in the best lance, at the best top dial setting)?
    I'll revisit it again in the summer as I see its potential for "summer dust", but for me in winter, on my car, it's a resounding "No" 👎.

    Hi Jon, interesting review.... been a ONE snowfoam user from day one, with MJJC MTM PF22 and a generic Lance...
    In regards the MJJC you have to crank the adjustment back a bit between ¼-½ turn to get the right consistency, as you said in a previous video similar to snot!
    Use an MTM PF22 and it's on the money out of the box. Diveway stays cleaner when used right too.
    1:9 is suitable for most jobs once consistency is adjusted, recently did a Range fresh back from a trip skiing in the Alps... and was 95% clean at 1:9 ratio... As you rightly pointed out ifnthe foam is too dry won't clean properly, and yours was way too dry... The 1:3 is past Instagram Foam 🤣
    Have a play with it and will be good to get your thoughts, I've put it up against 8Below, IMax, KKD Blizzard Xteme and my experience is it beats them all when used properly...😉

    Great demonstration of the product, but also of the short comings of the MJJC lance, it creates foam that's too thick in some cases, so you don't want to run it with the draw nozzle set to maximum. Quarter turn back and it's a lot wetter.

    Good review as always Jon, something I've seen mentioned about GT Snow Foam, is that it doesn't like the MJJC foam lance, so perhaps the Lance is playing a part in it being less effective. However I'm not entirely sure, whether the issue with the MJJC lance is widespread or a few isolated incidents. I've actually just bought 5litres of the stuff to try out. Eventually been waiting on a u to do a review on this, a side by side comparison against BH and WP 8 Below would be interesting 🙌🏻
    I tend to tone the mixture down to create a more wet, thinner foam, also I use it in the Autoglym lance, as the MJJC Lance is known for its ability to produce thick foam, so the Autoglym one seems to get it just nice, not tried it in my MTM one yet, also I have to say I always use a citrus pre wash, Valet PRO or Road Rage depending, either before or just underneath, I'm sure the majority of people who do this for a living or are a keen enthusiast probably do the same and yes I know that can come across as sounding a bit counter intuitive to some because they see a Snowfoam as the only thing needed if ur pre washing, but people in the know, know for better results, use a citrus pre wash.

Then apply Autofoam over the whole car just to stop it drying out so it can all dwell nicely. I'm not sure I've seen anything in GT SF to make me transition at that price point - the PIRs would be about the same but the £££ is higher, and I'd still need to use other products to do the heavy cutting.

      But if you dial it back you reduce the concentration levels. You then need to add more product to hit whatever PIR is recommended & then you are back to thick foam. It DOES NOT solve the problem that the product has too much foaming agents within it.

    found this review a tough one….love GT and been meaning to try this. I think it looks way too foamy for me. Price isn’t too bad. Don’t mind the name. Bit harsh on it to compare it to decon wash - one is a shampoo, the other a snow foam…GT needed a gentler maintainance pre wash. One burning question - did it hang around on the drive for ages afterwards? I can’t bloomin stand that !

    I'd like to see dedicated tyre cleaners vs APC (e.g surfex); YUM undress looks pretty good for instance. Tyre cleaning on an unmaintained car has to be the shittest job, scrubbing 4+ times per wheel is ball busting for so little payoff.

I'll stick with Bilt Hamber thanks at least I can wash it away fairly easily AND it cleans like no other snowfoam does! If I was a detailing product manufacturer I'd do a deal with BH, change the colour slightly, put it in my own bottles with appropriate labels and not even bother making my own, no point when the best by far already exists.

    I have come to the conclusion after 4 years of using snow foams, that most snow foams and snow foaming in general really doesn't do that much to clean the car as compared to just using 3-4 wash rags. If you have to use more water than exists in the entire Great Lakes to clean the car, you may be wasting your time. In saying that, I refer to maintenance washes. if your car is covered in dirt snow foam may be a help, but I have learned to not expect much

    Hi Jon, I'm really sorry but this review isn't a fair representation of the product and it's ability. Whilst I appreciate you have followed the instructions and only reported what you have seen there is more to this product than you have seen.
    Whether this one was rushed to create content or not it lacks the usual in depth review of a product you normally deliver.
    As you'll know the Mjjc produces a thick dry foam not ideal for this product turned to max. As others have said in comments, wound back to create a milky consistency and this product delivers a different result. Alternatively a different cannon like the mtm would have shown the product in a different light.
    What essentially you've done is make out the product is poor leading to a potentially brand damaging review for GT who are in essence a small UK brand.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 года назад +4

      I think every gt product has appeared on my channel, not many brands can say that, which hopefully helps the brand. But we also review products here, if your looking for only positive comments you have to go elsewhere. But also this is not a mega negative review I think the product is high quality but I want more cleaning power from it. And I've used it many times now even in mtm lance.

    • @andywhite2930
      @andywhite2930 2 года назад +2

      Thank you for the reply Jon. I'm not only looking for positive comments but when I feel the review has not done a product justice I will share my point of view. I appreciate you are a reviewer so what comes with that is both points of view on a product.
      My criticism still stands though. Iv used the product extensively with an Mjjc to good effect. Straight up I understand your results, I initially had them too but further testing would have yielded positive results like I now get. It does remove traffic film at lower ratios adjusted corrctly and doesn't need to be as thick at upper ratios as you've demonstrated. The dirt Sim test is flawed in some respect because the results of Zero on this video are night and day in difference compared to the results in your review you did on strip waxes. Viewers in most cases won't see that or remember it so you've essentially made One look worse than it is even if unintentionally.
      Is it potentially a fussy foam? maybe. Is it as good as BH? Maybe, maybe not, that's like anything, personal preference on a products feature come into play and tbh isn't my main point here but for others it will be. But outright it's a better product at cleaning than you've reported and doesn't need to be an ice cream like foam when adjusted.
      I hope you can see my point.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 года назад +1

      I can see all points, but the instructions were followed to the letter. If we adjust the ratio to wet the foam we drop the PIR below the recomended level. If the product performs better wet then this info needs to be on the instructions, or the foaming level needs to be lowered, this was my feedback. I've made the same comment about magifoam and 8 below, you can't unlock there potential without them over foaming, and no one disagreed. The dirt simm test will vary in winter because the oils in it will thicken in the cold it becomes more tacky. But we use Decon as a yardstick because we know that's very strong and can shift it. Interested to see if mas lowers the foaming, all products need tweaking. If you want I'll go 1 to 10 with mtm and wet the foam more and blast down again but I've already done to this and it's not helping it will just create more drama. Either way you can't win, when I recomend Decon wash in my best strip wash video I got accused of being biased. Cest la vie, but there won't be many review channel left in the UK at this rate because it's just not worth the hassle of reviewing stuff properly.

    • @andywhite2930
      @andywhite2930 2 года назад +1

      If there is one company that will listen it will be GT. They have demonstrated perviously launching a product and then going back and tweeking it with One Shampoo and Zero Iron Oxide so no doubt Maz will be listening and looking. I also believe there is merrit in somewhat more detailed or changed instructions.
      Unfortunately the criticism of being bias or the quality of the review will always be their. That comes with the territory of the role you have taken on. You have also somewhat created the monster unintentionally with your love for BH products. Nothing wrong with that, I love them too but unfortunately people will see that at face value and the BH lovers will look to see if this is an alternative product for them to use alongside or instead of.
      I think the frustration of those that have come back at you like myself are in that we know the product works effectively albeit with adjustment or by alternative application methods. Or that you do actually like it but this was not conveyed on the video maybe as intended because of the overall result. The problem was the video felt rushed(for content maybe) and not to your usual standard of in depth analysis but that has been said. If the dirt Sim acts differently in different temps, understandable but that needs explaining to viewers. Like you saying doing it again won't gain anything and just cause more issues so I don't think there is an ideal outcome for anyone.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 года назад +3

      No it's exactly the same as other individual foam tests and none of those brands came back to counter the points, neither did I get brand fanboys accusing me of bias or even blaiming the lance. Again if I was capable of bias I would not bother showing GT products I'll just take a pay check from any of literally hundreds of brands that will happily partner up. So anyone that says this review is bias is dumb. And it's the dumb people that damage this brand. I can also spot fake accounts with ease.
