Tom Cruise in 1968: I wanna be an Astronaut.
Tom Cruise in 2020: I am gonna shoot a movie in actual Space!
Which one?
@@uhhidk8253 he will make his next movie in Space but that won't be Mission Impossible movie.
@@AvPal_Arts oh nice. Thanks
@d Google about it. You will know. It's a verified fact.
@d It's true. Been confirmed by official tweets and all. But I think it may not be as costly as you think. It could just be one scene in space. Still expensive, but not as exorbitant as you make it out to be. Also, the definition of space is rather loose. It could be a high altitude scene, like the "space jumps" a couple of people have done. Edit: Though probably further out since SpaceX is making this happen.
I mimicked his speech and the way he talks in a high school presentation. I got a round of applause. The teacher said, "that's how you do a presentation."

Crazy that Tom Cruise was only 39yrs old then. He’s 60yrs old now this year in 2022 and he’s just had a huge box office hit with Top Gun Maverick.
People can say whatever they want but Tom Cruise is the most consistent actor of all time. Hell, even some of his weaker movies like The Mummy and Knight and Day were watchable.
He will win an Oscar for Top Gun Maverick
@@jackyb968 idk oscar is kinda woke...and they don't appreciate good action movies
@@jacquesdaniels2435 True, the success of Maverick was often brought up when talking about the decline of woke movies, so I doubt any activists would vote for Maverick. @@Hillgrov it was well written, and the way it was delivered was excellent + he has the confidence and charisma of a superstar, and people adore this kind of thing

Thing is, people are often nervous in front of their peers, especially their professional peers, even actors. He made it look easy
@@Hillgrovkeep trying to be different the world cares clearly
For this context matters , it's post 9/11 people were in state of shock, contemplating there life choices, a lot of "why's" in their thoughts...and Tom answered it beautifully. If you remove 9/11 reference here it's pretty average speech.
@@Hillgrov Instead of ignoring/pretending something important didn't happen, it addresses it outright without being long-winded/depressing. It asks the question that is in everyone's head and gives a satisfying answer. It's not trivial. That's a skillset any leader wishes they had. Which to me explains why his movies are so successful.
One of the most dedicated actors of all times, even without winning and Oscar. Not because he’s not able to, but simply because he’s always opted to star for movies that couldn’t get him one. 100% passion, 0% obsession. Respect for that.
But paid very well instead. And that is a totally valid choice as many of the movies that won awards are utterly forgettable and merely reflect the predilictions of a small group of people disconnected from the common person.
Love the PULSE pfp man
You just blew my mind. It is ridiculous that he has never won an Oscar. He has been one of my favorite actors from day one. He gives it all on every movie he ever makes.
He was trying to go for it in the 80s-90s, something happened though to where he knew he couldnt win one because of film politics. The fact that he didnt win for Born on the 4th of July & Magnolia is sad.
@@BenWeeks Exactly, and that is why there is this quiet dislike for Tom in the Academy. Good looks, fame and wealth.

this June, in typical dad joke fashion, I promised my teenage kids that we'd be going on a Summer Cruise once school got out.
