Welcome back, glad you're safe and sound!
Could you do a video choosing orders for first timers?
your videos help me prepare for bootcamp thank you. I graduated back in October and now in c school
Great to see you back! Any chance you could do a reaction video to Faces of OCS 2023 as a comparison to Great Lakes videos you've done before? Would love to see that from an RDC perspective.
Any good advice for a second class coming off shore duty heading to his second boat? I showed up to my first boat as an undes e1, so this will be a whole new experience
we are about to deploy here real soon wish me some luck gunna really need it for where were going gunna be alot of GQ's
Heck yes! I was afraid I had scared you away from RUclips altogether! Glad to see you back Chief & welcome home!
Thanks! Great to be back
Hey could you do a video on medical marijuana waivers? If you have any advice etc.
Hey, when did TAD become TDY in the Navy?
Thank god, ship out may 28th and need to know about these new personal phone rules‼️
Only CG's & DDG's? Must be a GSE/M?
I did a Caribbean/Med in '84, a North Atlantic in '85, and Med in '86/'87.
My son deployed to Med/North Atlantic/Baltic in 2022, but now he's in school for 6 months
going off the division flags having FCA as the common rate and FCA’s only being on small boys, my guess is Chief’s an Aegis tech
@@horsesho3 Or a Mk86 tech operator for the 5" gun mounts.
Are the flags in the back division flags from when you were in bootcamp or when you were doing a push?
They were the flags i kept from pushes
Navy means never again volunteer yourself
You do go underway a lot. I miss those days of leaving on Monday and coming back on Friday and turn around have duty on Saturday and do the same thing the next week. It does depend on the command and what your home port is on which type of deployment. I’ve done 2.5 South PAC and a NATO Carrot cruise in the Med before. 2 of them got extended a month or 2 because our replacement failed qualifications and had to pass before taking over. Not to mention the numerous Training Cycles. My last deployment I did we got back a month later we turned around and started the training cycle all over again. Station on a ship you’re going to go underway a lot. Fun times.
Is there a physical requirement for all navy men? My nephew claims to be in the navy and away a lot but he’s very out of shape like 240 pounds of pure fat and I don’t know if I should believe him or he’s making the whole thing up
Honestly? I'd preferred being at sea verses being in the yards. Only thing worse than the yards? Great Lakes.
You gonna do an email about the business insider RDC C School?
It is on the list!
@askardc nice! Going there starting school in December, trying to prep as much as possible
lets not....
Can you clarify what a critical NEC constitutes? I’m in A school right now and will likely be going to a C school that most in my rate eventually go to.
Are there C schools beyond the initial ascension ones that make commands demand you for certain TADs?
To help answer, a "critical NEC" would be earned from going to a school with a lot of rigorous, specialized training that results in a low percentage of people having in your rate. One that would offer a Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) - a monetary incentive to keep working your job bc you're needed.
Say, anything that requires a lot of brain or brawn, or keeps the ship running, like Special Warfare, Nukes, Engineers and IT.
If your NEC gets you an SRB, chances are, you're important. Good luck in C School!
To answer your second question, if you have any NEC, other commands would consider you for TAD since not everyone comes out with one after A School.
I know for Corpsmen that serve with Marines go from a Marine unit that doesn't deploy, to a unit that will deploy, and vice versa. This happens often.
@@MexiKazn21 Thank you for that detailed response. I'm in IT A School right now, so it sounds as though I'll have a critical NEC as soon as I get out of the schoolhouse.
@whenhen Welcome! I don't know if there are other C Schools out there for IT, but if you are looking to maximize the money you'd make as an IT outside the Navy, try to go to those schools the next time you're up for orders or when your command allows. C Schools make you more valuable and enable you to serve in more locations and capacities.
I had to do the exact same thing 😂
Imagine wearing a mask
Jokes aside this gave ne good information as intended. Appreciate it.
Why the mask?
He keeps his identity a secret
First
Damn how gay do you have to be to be wearing a mask in your own house alone?
I think it's to hide his identity and remain anonymous most likely.
I think it’s more to hide his identity. But the division flags make it easy to find out who he is lol
Well it is the navy...
