Aw man I couldnt tell if trolling, joking, or drinking the bong water. It was not too bad. The maturity plays a big factor, especially around younger kids 18-20. You’d be surprised and also humbled. Yes, you put up with a lot of dumb s**t, but the teamwork is 💯
@teleman07he’s a legend amongst navy families. Word around Christmas dinner that my grandpa personally met him back in the summer of ‘57, and my father saw him at chow hall back in 1992.
@@christiangutierrez720 Bootcamp is uhm crazy p-Days(first week or first two weeks) isn't fun not gonna lie. Make sure you eat well, hydrate well, run 1.5miles in 12min or less and know how to swim. A-School is OK, but you have to study well. In boot camp try your best to follow instructions honestly if you listen well and you follow details to the Tee, when the RDCs notice that you follow instructions well, they will not bother you personally and whenever you speak, they'll like to listen to you cos they know that you aren't troublesome. I got 5.0 on every inspections I had even when I thought I made a mistake, my RDCs just warned me about it and gave me my score. I had a good experience.
Future sailor westfall present going in as a SECF I’m 29 with a wife and kids . the 6th of may is my indoctrination into basic training only 9 days away I’m nothing less than excited! It took less than a month for my ship date 🤙May I please have some of your suggestions or thoughts on what I can do to get my kids and wife ready for this new chapter in our lives. It would be dearly and deeply appreciated

Hey! Off-topic but quick question: I have stretched ears that will not close fully on their own. My recruiters told me to just superglue them for MEPS and that I’ll go through basic no problem, then be able to get them sewn up on the Navy dime. As an RDC, did you ever send a recruit who obviously lied about having stretched ears home? Any advice here? Thanks!
What's the best rate? That's open to debate... What's the worst rate/group of rates? That's easy: Engineering. Its loud, hot, and dirty work in a confined spaces. But you can rank up fast. As a former HT (DC was not a rate then), but I ran the DC shop for a year can tell you from experience.
ET2 USNR here, joined late at 34 and 37 now going strong. Love the videos, graduated 3/2022. Hooyah!
@teleman07 sorry those are my ages. Not sure where you got 1934 😂

@teleman07 I should also note that PT standards differ for age. 35-39 bracket is nowhere near as strict as 18-22
😅haha thanks! Well you don’t join at 34 because your parents told you to.

Is anyone in this chat a Navy recruiter? I do have a question.
You can just go to the official navy website and chat there directly with a recruiter
