Love the color way, nice job! By the way, those two bridged pins on the CPU are both connected to ground, so the bridge is fine. EDIT: Made this comment before finishing the video, so I feel I should address some of the complaints. 1. Basically all of the fit issues are because the print is oversized. The GitHub for the project suggests having it printed at 99.7% scale because PCBWay has been pretty consistent about printing too large, and the size difference differs from print to print. Nothing I can really do about that, unfortunately. 2. I released the STEP files for the volume wheel specifically so that it could be ordered for cheaper elsewhere. At the time I released the project, it was about $5 to get machined at JLCPCB(probably more now, but still cheaper than PCBWay). 3. More a general note about audio, but the latest version of the PCB and BOM reduces top volume below the point where it starts getting distorted. Also adds spring contact speakers! Makes install a lot easier.
I did follow your GitHub and did scale the print down as suggested. Ultimately wasn’t a huge deal but I still wanted to point it out. It is nice that it’s cheaper with another service but I still believe the classic volume wheel would have worked just fine and been even cheaper. It’s your design not mine though and that’s okay. Even at max they sounded fantastic but I’m glad you’re still improving it! Overall I do like your frog boy and I am excited to see what you come up with next. Glad you like the colors too. All the bridging drama was for nothing then 🤷🏼♂️
I hope this idea is developed and eventually becomes a kit because this form factor is so much better. If FunnyPlaying can do a FPGA board that’s mass produced, surely something like this is possible without so many custom parts and we can finally have a GBC without the hand cramps.
I thought id do this but ordering on PCB way is intimidating for a newer guy. Is there another project i can use my GBC grave for? Like motherboard stuff
I usually ship packages on Thursdays and Saturdays. If you have a specific question about your order, you can contact me through the support page on my website
I might make one in the future on the second channel but don’t hold your breath. In the meantime, I do have a video where I replaced a bunch of capacitors on a GameCube that you may find helpful ruclips.net/video/TKTWWcL0aX8/видео.html
@JakeSimmons hey brah I get the nostalgia part but I've seen a decent community with the mods. I appreciate the viewpoint tho and the content. Your "you can do this" additions really encouraged me to start melting tin.

The frog puns 💀
Looks pretty cool though
The RUclips gods recommended me this. Relevancy soon!
Which material did you use for the shell? Was it PCBWay's translucent UTR-8100 with dye? Looks great.
I am so glad someone else has brought this up because i hate touching my own fingers/hands when holding a handheld device its hot and yuck lol
It needs to be a gba

NOT THE LIGHT PIPE!
How long does it take for your orders to ship?

Definitely just gonna stick with my 3 sp's and ds 😂
Game Boy Color is the most balanced with the looks and ergonomics.
God bless.
You got to have more tips with smalleer and bigger sizes.
Hey Jake, I was wondering if you could make a tutorial video on how to replace gba capacitors
I might make one in the future on the second channel but don’t hold your breath. In the meantime, I do have a video where I replaced a bunch of capacitors on a GameCube that you may find helpful

WHERE CAN I GET ONE AND HOW MUCH
DMG is probably the most comfortable for me but I got big hands and not baby hands
Ima *hop* on this mid.
Also why no do game gears?!
No nostalgia for them really. Lack of mod support too

Light pipe
challenge accepted (i lose fuses the size of a grain of salt)

Which he humbly admit and which is why he has many supporters and followers.
