    This pickup has a unique feature in that it has both an under saddle piezo pickup combined with a body transducer. The second knob, instead of tone is a blend of the two elements.

    • @Palantine9131
      @Palantine9131 Год назад

      For what you may know, does this pick-up is quieter than the one with the tone (instead of the blend control)?
      I'm trying to figure out if my brand new Paramount arrived today has a defective preamp, in fact the overall volume is quite weaker than my Cort with Sonitone/Sonicore preamp.
      Thanks

    I bought the Parlour in Cognac and I love it. First thing I did however was remove the scratchplate (came off a treat with a bit of hairdryer treatment), change the srtrings (those Fender fitted ones are dreadful). My only other gripe is the strap button position. Totally the wrong place for it. I removed mine and filled the hole with a mahogony plug. Looks killer now. Still a very good guitar for the price point.

      Well I'm not really a fan of Fender acoustics but the review was a good one. I'm a little surprised that Fender decided to go with this pickup system, sounds pretty awful to me, given their stellar reputation for electronics I thought they would opt to leave that one out. There are a few better systems available and why taint your reputation with a third or fourth rate system.

    Careful people don't get their fingers burnt. As a beginner I bought a Fender acoustic CD60 SCE. I thought it would last me on my journey to learn guitar. For 6 months I did great and using your videos.
    Then I started to struggle, it was so difficult to play after the 9th fret. I thought if I took it to an experienced luthier he would be able to set it up properly. Without even touching it as I handed it to him I saw the look of shock on his face. He pointed out the misengineered bridge and then just gave up with the neck telling me this guitar should never have left the factory. He did day he could improve the guitar but it would never be as good as it should have been. New bridge, new nut and extensive work on the neck. Now more experienced with guitars I could now see the problems with the guitar.
    I could have sent it back under guarantee but that was just hassle, my dog had just tied suddenly and there was nolonger the two of us sitting outside playing on a summers evening. plus How long would I be without a guitar.
    I've stopped playing and haven't touched it for 12 months. Shame really because my ear had improved and when I hear guitar tracks now I hear the changes and rhythms and know in theory how to approach playing them. But there is no enjoyment knowing the guitar limits me. I have since played a proper CD60 SCE and it was beautiful everything I wanted in a guitar.
    I think Fender must have put their substandard parts on one guitar just to use them up and stuck a quality inspected sticker on it just to get rid of it. I now realise don't trust them to sell you a good and proper guitar and if you are new and a beginner take someone with experience to try out the guitar first before you buy it.

    • @Scottuz
      @Scottuz 27 дней назад

      the CD60 is a budget Guitar at best, and has Zero in common with the PD220, PO220, or the PC220, I had the CD140 with hardcase
      and after12mts the neck twisted, and threw out the top E string,??? it was a semi tone out, even at the 1st fret?

Doesn't even sound like mahogany and smells like chemicals to boot. all the frets need to be leveled out the box. with the exposed glue and all the rough and unsanded and sharp edges, the thing is a joke. I'm actually one of the very few people that will defend Fender acoustics to the end. Granted they're not up there with the top of the range acoustic brands but they're definitely not as bad as people make out. I have two. A Fender Newporter, which looks and sounds beautiful and the Fender FA-235E. I love them both so much.
    But the amount of hate they get amongst the guitar community just baffles me. Anyone new to the guitar world would think they must be on a par with those cheap and nasty Amazon guitars for $40 because of how much abuse they get. I just don't get it 🤷‍♂️.
    Oh and great video by the way. Subscribed ☺.

    I have a fender ESV-10E. They only made them for 2 years with the cost of 1599.99 new. All solid wood and looks and sounds way better then that fender. They did not sell many of them as the cost but I put it against any Taylor or Martin. They were targeting the high end market with the espanada ESV-10E. It is still to this day the best and most expensive acoustic fender has ever made. The case is a massive plastic tank that weights 10 times as much as the guitar. It is a beautiful hand crafted masterpiece. Every time I take it somewhere people go Gaga over it. If you can find 1 for sale get it. It has amazing wood grains amazing rosette and beautiful binding. No laminate anywhere with ellipse vt system and have I said how beautiful the wood is all over the guitar.

Got a couple 60's Kay's jaz guitars a b.c. rich mokingbird a Gretsch Gentleman a line 6 shuriken SR270hd a New Yorker the list goes on. The esv-10e is the BEST acoustic I have ever played hands down. It also looks amazing. My hands are starting to go from the years of playing but I still do my best with a good dose of Tylenol extra strength lol. They sold so few of them due to the high price. They were reaching for the stars without having the name backing. I mean what pro buys a fender acoustic? Unless just to bang on at home.

Check out Squiers, Epiphones, bc those companies hve been around a while and realize that if U want new players U hve to accommodate for them reasonably and thats what they specialize in. Never been impressed with Fender acoustics, and there are probably better choices out there in the price range.

      @@LoneWolf-cv6pl because in 48 years of playing guitar, every Fender acoustic I've played has been garbage.

      @@LoneWolf-cv6pl you're right, I haven't. But I wouldn't discount 48 years of experience, either. Are they made by Cort? Not interested. As I said, there are likely better options within the price range. For example, Eastman. If I were a beginner, I'd want a guitar that motivated me to practice. I'd choose an Eastman E1 series.But play whatever you want! Just beginners watching this should know to try as many different guitars as possible, and perhaps audition this one along with others.
      Have a nice day!

      And yet people buy and love their $1500 iPhones made in China :-) I do get what you mean however.

      These are made in China but designed in USA and checked by Fender. I've got a couple, they really are exceptional guitars for their price range. Beautifully made and a neck to die for. Try one....

    Just got this guitar. Its cheap chinese trash. Low E buzzes on 2nd and 3rd frets, and checking with a rocker the frets are very unleveled out the box. wow. Doesn't even sound like a mahogany guitar. The whole thing also smells like chemicals, not a nice wood smell like my cheap martin always has. The glue on the pickguard, the rough edges and unsanded sides were too much to get over. Even looking down when playing at the strap peg on body is surround by a plastic unclean splattered mess. The action was at 5 or 6/64ths which is decent but the guitar wasn't any easier to play than my old martin dx1. I ordered from Fender and now they want to charge the cost of shipping it back plus what it cost them to ship it to me. And who knows if they will claim a restocking fee too. What a garbage company.

    The other two colors have a glossy finish and not a satin finish just in case you aren’t aware!
