Front part of mic, which has "RIG" written on it, is made of rubber and there is metal guide inside. That's part you are supposed to bend to your liking.
It captures sound much better when you do not have it so far away and to side from mouth. Those 2~3 cm make big difference.

Just a note. The music presets in Atmos gives you stereo instead of virtual surround sound.

Astro A40TR and mixamp is a really, really good setup.
Wired is always going to be better sound quality with the least latency possible, and the open back design of the A40s makes sound localization more natural.

Even though it looks pretty obvious, I’d mention that the ear cups do not swivel.
For some people that’s a deal breaker, because the seal doesn’t even work if you have the classic RIG back ear leakage.

There’s no way of just creating a easy fix for it?

I just bought the 900 hx max and man I can’t find the right EQ settings for gaming like FPS, valorant, seige, cod ect!!! I don’t want to return them but I can’t seem to get a good sound out of them. any one have a link to a good settings I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find a good one. For Dolby Atmos! I don’t want to return them if I’m doing something wrong

This one is really interesting. It should work well with the PS5 because the console doesn’t need Dolby for spatial audio. But it might be licensing issues?
I just got a Sony Inzone H9, and I am really enjoying it. The sound quality and definition is amazing, way better than the Pulse 3D (my previous headphone)
I’m still considering getting the Audeze Maxwell.

Wireless..... gaming..... headset. Please get yourself something better people. There are much cheaper entry level audiophile headphones out there that will COMPLETELY blow these out of the water in every single way. The only reason to buy these would be if for some reason you need wireless headphones while sitting at your computer lol. Otherwise the wireless just creates worse sounding...sound. Lets face it they market these gaming headsets and overcharge for their crummy sound performance. Once you move up to say the PHILIPS Fidelio X2HR ($150) you will NEVER EVER go back to these gaming headsets period. Once you experience the sound difference you will have your eyes opened.

I think you have bit misguided views. See, you being audiophile should know basic difference between RF/BT functionality. And actual problems before starting your comment with 3 words, condescendingly separated by 5 dots each. (Listening Audio quality is not one of RF problems. And for BT, it is conditional problem.)
Sure, I can game on my AKG-K701, no problem. Then I can put studio mic between myself and keyboard, no problem. Till I spend 4+ hours gaming, make myself tea few times. Change distance between myself and mic on desk few times. Move the mic few times as I turn it ON/OFF and everyone complains that I have different mic volume or that they heard scratchy noise as mic moved.
As of reasons. No cable pull. Freedom of movement. (Same level of comfort no matter how you move.) Uninterrupted communication even if you leave your PC. Unchanging mic audio quality. Microphone has comfortable way to be muted. (And usually notifies you of the fact.)
I do have quite old RF based headset. Its transceiver box uses USB for in/out communication between people, and optical input for applications/games. (Headphones have lever for balancing of those inputs. So you can hear better people or game depending on situation.)
Would I recommend BT-only gaming headset? No. Even while modern BT headphones blow your "PHILIPS Fidelio X2HR" out of water in terms of audio quality, those lossless codecs create lag. 2nd problem is that 99% of BT enabled devices with mic have 2 modes of operation:
      1) High bandwidth audio reception only.
      2) Low bandwidth audio reception + Mic transmission.
So, for BT "gaming" headphones, one has to find that hidden gem, where engineers decided not to cripple audio reception moment microphone is enabled, and where engineers used good enough quality low latency codec. And this is primary reason why someone should complain about BT headphones.
As for RF, that does not suffer from BT problems. Now you see that each device/technology has its use cases. And "is-all, be-all" approach is dumb. (Especially as you put on pedestal entry level headphones which are easily outclassed by devices you spit on.)
