Out of the box, the sound can be flat. However, when you make the right adjustments on the Rig 900 Max Navigator app (bass, treble, mid - or decible ranges on expert mode), they sound great. That said, the mic pickup (gain) will need to be set on HIGH for most users.
@BazzaQlapsx I have yet to see the app on console. The settings that I used on my tablet transferred over. But that may not be the case for everyone, TBH. That said, I HIGHLY recommend downloading the Dolby Atmos app on console. It works incredibly well with the 900 MAX headphones.
I bought these on sale for 100 dollars off its original price. I use them on my PS5 and after an update and reconfiguration of the equalizer on the mobile app....these sound FANTASTIC!!!!!
How do you get audio to come thru man?? I'm on PS5 too. Been fumbling through these settings for an hour. It's registered on the system but can't get audio output
@@romandres7690 I appreciate you answering. I had to plug dock into PS5, USB into doc on PC in order for headset to be recognized. The 900 app is pretty tight too
Man, you came up when I was looking for reviews on the Razer Chroma V2 Controller and I'm really happy about it. Your reviews are comprehensive, you're well spoken, and I'm drawn in since I can listen to you for a long time. You got a new subscriber. Thank you!
Too bad. I loved my Rig 800 when it was still under the Plantronics brand. They sold the RIG division, and it's been downhill ever since. I will keep using my original 800 on the Series X until the wheels fall off.
Dude I bought this headset and was so disappointed I returned it 2 hours later. Even with messing with Dolby atmos and tweaking with the headsets companion app it still was bad. Good thing the stealth 700 gen 2’s are a goated headset. A bit glitchy at times but it delivers, I resort back to it after every headset I try
I dont blame you, I was really unimpressed after using them and they just cost way too much. they should drop the dock and bluetooth and make these 60 bucks but the quality is so bad I wouldnt even buy them then
Agreed. And the fact that they’re charging $250+ tax for that is absolutely blasphemous. Seems like they just threw something together to stay relevant compared to competing brands. It’s comfortable as heck but quite literally the only thing going for it. Lacking so much in all aspects, huge disappointment in terms of “improvements” compared to the 800
Previously had the old rig 800s for Xbox and they were garbage. Bought a set new off eBay and not long after the mic stopped working one morning when I woke up, sent them back for a swap and got a new set and about a week later something came loose in the right ear cup. Got another set as a replacement and sold those for the gen 3 astros
This sucks. I think rig headsets feel amazing on head. And mic is good. But i guess they arent great anymore. I have astro a50 gen 5. I will get the rig 1000s if they come out better
I have this headset it sucks dont buy it get somthing else everyone says im quite unless its touching my face and it goes silent while connected randomly no sound yeah they are solid and comfortable and adjustable but they suck for an actual audio and mic my 60 steel series were better quality sound and mic

@@LDFireBlade make sure that on the dongle you have the little nob switched to PC.
@@LDFireBlade did that work?

@@LDFireBlade ok. That's good. Yes I like the app also. Only gripe I have is, I wish Bluetooth ran simultaneously.

So did hear that right? You can’t listen to music and play a game at the same time? Being able to listen to both game audio and Music audio together.
Meaning having Bluetooth and the 2.4ghz connection work simultaneously
Can you turn off the mic monitoring on Xbox?
Try the senhaiser 560s, is literally like a wall hack
The sound is alright, but holy shit this mic is straight dog. Cant believe they released a mic that sounds so bad

hilarious title. thanks for the heads up, boss.
