@TrailRecon, Brad, you had the perfect truck when you had your RAM for long distance and an Arctic Expedition trip. IDK why you would have gotten rid of it?! Jeeps are so small, uncomfortable and cramped, especially for long distance driving/off-roading.
How’s that emissions crap doing. I have a 24 model 6.7 Cummins and it hates low speed driving you’ll clog up that DPF filter in 300 miles. I’m hoping you deleted all that or you’re gonna have major issues
Really glad to see such a high quality channel getting into the full size space. Well, maybe. Long distance driving with long gaps between service stations then yes, you want a diesel. How did you get the Rig’d tire swing to fit with the AEV rear bumper.? I have the exact same set up and the arm of the tire carrier runs into the tube portion of the bumper before the pin hole lines up.

Great video and I am really looking forward to seeing more of your trip with Brad and on the Ram. I have my Mojave now, which is a great daily driver and short overlanding trips. When my daughter heads to college in two years, I may send the Gladiator with her and upgrade to a Ram. Leaning towards a Power Wagon, but I do see advantages to the 2500 Rebel also as I want a truck capable of supporting a canopy style camper and be able to tow my TJ on a trailer.

May have to make a trip to the mainland to check out the campers at overland outfitters.
An awesome build! The wrap will minimize the rock chips, I hope that you get the gorilla windshield after you break it, because we all know you will get rock chips, and good that you have a full bumper for when you hit an animal, every time I drive from Abbotsford to peace river or ft Mac or any other location in Alberta someone on the crew would hit a deer, bear, moose and total their vehicle, if one totals their truck on a remote trip your possibility flying home..
Great build, pretty rad!! Looking forward to your AK adventure with your family. Your daughter is so cute, following right behind you :- )) Have been looking at AEV Prospectors where the vast majority are 2500's and very few 3500's. I think this is AWESOME! Love videos like this! Look forward to seeing your videos and Brads videos of your trip! Have to give kudos to Trail Recon(Brad) for letting me know about YOUR channel and you guys trip to the Arctic Ocean! Best wishes, stay safe and roll on!!
I remember the video where you were so excited about having a rig to haul the Jeep to various locations, long away from home. That being said, wouldn't that have served roughly the same purpose of long distance "efficiency" while maintaining a moderately or more capable off road rig? Not to mention, having something to haul your Jeep with in the event of mechanical failure, which has happened and will always happen in off road use, which is the nature of the lifestyle. So, what are the pros and cons of building the Ram and using it this way as opposed to hauling the Jeep for these longer distances? None the less, as a fan of full size trucks (I own a Cummins, myself) It is a sweet build.
The coolest thing about this is that the ram with the prospector kit is actually legal in Europe, so I could legally build this exact vehicle. Other than the gladiator which would never pass tech inspection here 😂 crazy but actually pretty cool
Great video, love the truck and content. Looking for some suggestions... I have a 2019 Silverado 2500 and I would like to upgrade the wheels/tires. I want something that can work on highway and off road, but I don't want to cut into the fenders. Anyone know what size would fit if I went with a small lift? Thanks.
I have a similar build on a 2018 Ram and AT overland Atlas. I also added a larger fuel tank. I added the Bilstein XP8100’s remote reservoir and found that the back end is quite bouncy. The shocks are not adjustable. How are you finding your suspension/shock set up with the camper weight? Are you using your air bags? Thanks! Congrats on the artic journey!
Love seeing others using Ram 2500 for overlanding. I have been building mine out but only have 37s with Carli suspension, 40s would be even better. Makes me feel not so crazy for off-roading in a 8000+ lb truck. Haven't done anything too crazy but there have been a couple times I was a little worried about making it up an obstacle but in 4 low with KM3s and the loads of torque, it just climbs whatever I have put in front of it with ease. I do worry that if I get do stuck if other vehicles nearly half the weight would be able to pull me out, that is the one downside.
That style of snorkel doesn't do much for water crossings. Instead, it's designed to provide clean air from above any dust clouds when running in groups, and it may also work marginally for snow, using the same idea. That's about the extent of its usefulness, though. For it to be reliable in anything more than a puddle, you would need the bell housing that can separate water from incoming air, a fully sealed downpipe, and a connection to the throttle body with a gasket. Think something like the water fording kit on a deuce and a half.
Congrats! I'll be curious to hear how the rear suspension holds up with the weight of the camper. I'd like to do a full slide-in but was told it was too much on my 2022 PXL 2500 with the ram air suspension
Damn, someone spent some money lol, I was actually looking into the AEV Prospector XL for my truck 2021 Ram 2500 also, but I wanted to get the Snap Outfitters Treehouse for mine, but now I want that camper too and now I'm so torn now thanks lol. Love the sweet rig man!

I’m also curious to see, but it’s working fantastic so far.
I’m so excited to see the rig man. Might just push me over the edge to convert my 2500 now :).
Looking forward to following the artic adventure. have a great time...
Looking forward to all the Videos with your Incredible Overland Adventure Vehicle
Im driving up in June. Maybe well see you on the road that's so funny!!!
Turned out awesome man! Can't wait to see it in person!
Beautiful rig, brother, and camper set up
Cool!! I look forward to see how well a full size crew cab truck does in the woods. The trails near me here in NE Tennessee are too tight for a full size
Its a home on 40s and its got a turbo diesel Cummins nice!💣 proof
How does the extra weight of the camper effect the performance on the trails?
Love the build! Maybe one day we will see you take it through northern ontario into quebec and maritime canada/do the Labrador hiway and see some iceburgs along the way. Cheers and looking forward to the Tuk series
Fun to take your daily driver and make it a monster…I wonder if I could do that with my daily driver, a AWD 2019 Rouge….nope, better find my next Jeep!! Awesome rig and I look forward to watching more of it!
Awesome Cummins build! How does it ride with the factory rear air bags on rough terrain?
Maybe it comes in this video and I haven't gotten there yet but you have to have to have to do the exhaust egr weight loss upgrade 🤫 low rpms and idling for long periods of time will cost you a lot of money down the road throwing all that soot back into your engine
Insane build up, congrats
This is one of my dream rig..
It inspires me to do more for the future build..
I love your build its like a food for my soul thanks for sharing this build..
Can't wait to build my rig for my future overland camping with my family.🫡🫡🤙🤙

@@TheStoryTillNow SOOOOOO looking forward to your journey with Brad !!!!!!
Whoooo. Pretty dope build. Like, a crash pad for when you need a break from the bush party mosh pit, eh ? 🤘Good thing you didn’t reveal the secret bacon stash place. The squatches are watching no doubt. 🤙

Looks good! I am looking forward to seeing your trip to Tuk. We are slowly building up a GMC Canyon into an Aussie style rig and Tuk is on the list of places to visit.
