Chains are great for ice, but in the snow they will dig you down into deeper ruts! Better off with super low tyre PSI in this instance - or snow tracks like the mighty Tacoma!
As a 4wd'er in Canada, and a fellow brother of the commonwealth, I will officially call you guys winter wheeling christened hahaha!... As fun as playng in the winter months can be, you have to always respect the conditons, as you sometimes become unaware of how close to your own survival you can actually get.. Greetings from Phoenix Arizona in the United States. Im a long time subscriber and I absolutely look forward to every video you guys put out. Keep em coming.
those tracks look some of the first design they can be a huge pain in the butt they can spin around real easy and be ruined and the tracks slide off quite a bit too
Welcome back to the US (I know you guys have been over filming for a bit, happy to get to see this) absolutely love seeing you guys snow wheeling, it's very different than normal 4wd stuff, but also very fun!
I love this! I live in the northern parts of Sweden and we get alot of snow and get quite cold as well. I have lived and drove in snow my whole life and i dont think i ever seen anyone have so much fun as you guys having. And you are correct. Crawling works better sometime.
Hey mate I just had to share that I just went down and saw your mate at Sumner park Brisbane. He was an outstanding bloke who helped me out, super friendly and very professional. Top team mate 👍
once again..... I tried getting a 4WDSUPA centre in the states a decade ago. Executive told me to kick rocks and here you are, wheelin on my coast.... Lets get it going for real this time!
That tracked vehicle is the perfect demonstration that it's not the WIDTH of the footprint but the LENGTH that gets you traction . Great video, so different from what we see in Aus.
Except their wide as hell at 15". It's not even width or length, but overall surface space. So a wide tire will always do better than a narrow tire of the same diameter, drop the air to around 5-10psi. Either way, the wide tire will still have more on the ground than the narrow. Tracks work because they've got like 10 times the amount of ground contract.
Epic lads, done some snow driving this year and much in the past, but nothing quite like that esp stage 2, great to see something different, been awhile since the last time 24/7 got into the snow, one of my fav episodes ever was the high country episode years ago in the snow, cheers boys enjoy look fwd to the next one🤘
I had a 91 Toyota pickup with 38’s and it was still IFS. I got it that way. Did a single day of snow wheeling and some normal wheeling. It did really good considering it was IFS and had the stock style torsion bars up front. No coil overs.
When wheeling through really deep snow I always found when your starting to spin out, stop when you’re down to walking speed and you can easily back up for another go, Spin the tires when you come to a stop and it’s winch and shovel time!
I really love watching you guys being absolutely crazy about this amount of snow, as an average winter in the mountains of Poland (my country) looks similar xD and Poland doesn't even get as much snow as Slovakia or Austria would
Mint episode, Legends🍻 44:12 you could've tried dragging a spare wheel down the centre behind the Tacoma to knock the high centre down but these conditions are where the BV206 machines rule.
@4WD247 yeh awesome rigs, I love mine. They get a lot of trash but can't fault their abilities very capable rig when they running well. 😂 Ah-Z, thrashing the misses car gotta love it.
Greetings from Grande Prairie, Alberta! We be WAY up north where the snow can get 2-3 meters deep after a good dump, and the temps can drop down to below -40 degrees Celsius! Lowest Ive ever been in was -64 degrees. If you throw a cup of hot water up into the air, it will instantly evaporate and nothing will hit the ground! If you come up here on a 4X4 adventure, one of the best things you can bring are steel tire chains. They have literally saved my life on several occasions!
@@logic.and.reasoning SOMETIMES,again SOMETIMES...Shawn makes easy stuff looks hard because even after all these years of wheeling,he over thinks on small stuff making it more complicated

Hey, you guys were wheelin In my backyard. Isn't it awesome goin out with the buddies and getting stuck in the mud and snow 👍. Just west of Lake Tahoe on the other side of I-80 East is home Nevada County. Glad to see you had a blast in Placer County my birth County. 👍

TACO'S are just awesome. We've got some in my courtry, even though they're ledt hand drive ( not for me on highway ) but apparently theyre great for rallies. We also have the Tundra, but this one is perfect size for off-road.

So awesome. I hope the 30 has found its new home in North America for the next few years! :D
40" tires is actually small for snow wheeling in North America. Up here in Canada we use 54s!
Absolutely love waking up to 4wd247 videos especially when it’s back in my home country
You guys opening and closing the lids and drawers on those trays could be an asmr video. So smooth.
Best addition for deep snow, a hefty front skid plate that goes up to the bumper so you can slide up the snow and it doesn't plow in your front end
Good to know!
