Man, what a return! Thank you so much for trusting us to help with this build. We can’t wait to see the next videos you have in the chamber from your Alaska trip!
Welcome to the world of Toyotas; you won’t be disappointed! I have such a hard time sitting still even for 5-minute videos and somehow this 33-minute video went by in the blink of an eye. Glad to have you back, Drew, and glad you had a safe trip in Alaska!
That shot he had of the setup with a crackling fire backed by a majestic Alaskan mountain and crescent moon …… I mean Wow! If I was to have a dream poster of what I fantasized about to manifest in my life …. THIS IS IT!
You’ve been missed Drew. What an amazing rig! I’m currently a Jeep guy, and I’m gunna miss your Jeep content BUT my last vehicle was a Tacoma and I TOTALLY get it. That truck was definitely the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’m looking forward to watching you put it to the test. Welcome back! 🙏🏼
Drew you are not only kicking serious ass with your Overlanding game but you are inspirational and living the life my friend. Keep up the amazing travels and videos and stay safe this winter!
Great to see you back with a new, fully-upgraded whip! It is absolutely beautiful! For those of you that want an amazing background for your computer - 22:39 onward for amazing desktop backgrounds.
The video we have all been waiting for! Just when we thought you had forgotten about us, you came back and TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF. As a fellow Tacoma owner, great build and cant wait for the new adventures.
Congrats Drew! Toyota reliability under your foot. Awesome build and I believe this rig suits you really well. Pretty sure Toyota will be tracking you for some Toyota footage! Stay well and safe travels Bud!
I have been watching you for more than 2 years and I can say with confidence that your videos are some of the best on RUclips, thank you for the beautiful video waiting for new videos with patience. Thanks Drew
This build is incredible Drew! The amount of thought and effort that goes into everything you do is amazing. You inspired me to build out my Jeep Wrangler over this past summer and spend a month out West! My build and the way I shot my videos is heavily inspired by your style. I have only posted one but I have multiple left to edit. Can't wait to see some new content from you with your new ride. Much love
Dude, I can’t tell you how stoked I am for your videos. And seriously, seeing you come from a $15 dollar blue tarp to this… you deserve all the success brother!
Missed you Bud! Glad you're back to bring us some awesome sights & experience. Well done on the new rig. Safe travels into new chapter. Much love from CA.
Among so many RUclipsrs who are doing landscape photography/camping/off-road, you are unique. So excited to see you come back! And great to see these upgrades.
Thank you for your video. This is the first time, I viewed your channel. I just wish you would have ran the numbers. How much was the truck? How much was the entire build? only because, I am a newbie to this camping thing. I am trying to count the cost . I did subscribe. so i'm hoping to see more detailed videos regarding cost. Thank you.
Just so you know, the FWC propane heater setup does NOT introduce moisture to the interior. The combustion cycle is totally separate from the heat it pumps into the camper. Same as the diesel heater. However I do think you benefit from diesel heat because you can easily go to any gas station any time of night to refill. And you don’t need someone to assist you like with propane
Amazing setup Drew! I loved the ol' Jeep, but this Tacoma is a massive upgrade and it looks really slick! Belated congrats on your engagement too and love your (big) puppy! Always look forward to your videos... and the wait never disappoints. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year and catch you in 2024! Cheers, Moe 😎
Dude that is a perfect setup! I’ve got a TRD 3rd gen I love mine as well. Thanks for the video it’s always so cool to see how people customize and brainstorm these builds. Really really like this one 10/10
Really great camper and setup. Looking forward to seeing videos of your adventures again. The cinematography is always breathtaking. Happy new year festivities! 🙂
1:20 wish that i could get that view of image! This is one of the iconic images in this channel! so beautiful and peaceful! Thanks for the video. I also looking forward to upcoming a video Drew!! Lots of love from Korea 👍
It's funny, I remember when I found this channel ...It was probably the first one that took you through finding the locations, setting up, cooking etc but with words LOL. Most now are all about ASMR it drives me nuts. I was spewing when the video's stopped coming and it was rare to see that at 400K followers. Great to see you back though mate, looking forward to the content from Aus.
As someone whose been dreaming of buying a Jeep, you were one of the channels I would often go to over the years for build information. Fast forward 10 years, still no Jeep; but I did finally subscribe because this truck is totally more my speed. Interested to see the new world of Toyota off road:) cheers
A very good one at that. Props to Drew! Very thoughtful build and intentional. It’s clear he is very experienced with what’s needed and what matters after years on the road.
Hey Drew, FANTASTIC to have you back...... the new vehicle looks awesome and you did an excellent job. I've been looking forward your uploads for soooooo long and it just like seeing an old friend again. All the very best Steve in the UK 🇬🇧
Point of correction: A Mr Buddy Heater is not directly vented. The Propane Heater that came with your camper was vented. They both burn propane but the vented version does not cause condensation. The diesel heater you installed and the vented propane heater will produce the same low level condensation. It has nothing to do with the type of fuel but the direct vented exhaust makes the difference.
I just checked on the channel a few days ago. I was so happy that today RUclips fed your new VDO and happier to see your new vehicle which has much more upgrade than the old Jeep. I have never experienced how cold like when you camped in the snow because I am Thai where I live is always hot, I believe it must be super cold, so having the new upgraded vehicle is good for you.
tacoma max payload somewhere around 1600, that base camper is 1000ish, add in you, 20 gal water, all the accessories, man how are you not over payload capacity ?????
RIP your payload capacity. It amazes me how influencers continue to show how little they know about the equipment they use. But hey, keep perpetuating that dangerous nonsense so you can get more clicks.
HE'S BACK! We have missed you but have been sustained by watching your play list until you returned. Your new travelling home looks fantastic. As in everything you do, you put a lot of thought and care into it. Looking forward to your future adventures and seeing the beauty and solitude of nature through your lens with a well earned gourmet meal or Baileys coffee from your new kitchen!
What I loved about your Jeep at the end here was that it was so lived in and useful. Love the shiny new build, looking forward to see how it evolves and the cool places you show off.
Great to see you back Drew. Just in time for winter! Wonderful build, I like that you designed it yourself to meet your needs and the way you travel. Very nice. Looking forward to watching new adventures and the pristine places you visit.
Just this past week I remember thinking "Haven't seen a Jeep camping video from Drew in a while, wonder what he's up to." And here you are. Such an awesome build, if I had the money and could go buy that exact setup, I think I would. Looking forward to more vids soon
I cannot describe how happy I got when I saw you posted a new video!! Great work as always, that built is just delightful and it screams effort, can't wait to see your new videos with the truck on the road. Also, congrats on your engagement, it seems like yesterday I was watching your Q&A when you said you would like a family someday and it makes me really happy to see you getting everything you wanted bit by bit. You're my biggest inspiration bc you're living how I want to live someday and dedicate my life to this! thank you always and stay safe!
Nice build Drew, been following you for a few years with your jeep, great content, and as a Toyota Tacoma owner myself it’s nice to see you change your setup! Looking forward to future content!
You're back!!! I was incredibly spoiled with all your incredible drone shots and epic scenic views. I'm so excited to see even more of your content and views in the future. You'll love Toyota. I have a Sequoia and between traveling to lakes and mountains it truly is an amazing brand.
thats the best setup Ive seen so far on the youtubes. I think its exactly what I would want and youve got some mad build skills. Ive been building/restoring a 1974 fiberglass Boler and it has taken ya few years to get where i want it. the number of skills you have to learn to do that is a lifetime.
I’ve been waiting for this video to drop since I saw a sneak peak of your rig at Overland Expo. Good to have you back and looking forward to see more of your Alaska adventures!
Wow, just simply wow and so excited that you’re back!! I love re-watching your videos, but I’m so excited for new adventures, especially with your new set up!
Amazing set up-you’ll be so thrilled with Toyota reliability and capability and toughness. So happy you built out this truck instead of another Jeep product like a Gladiator-have a buddy who bought one of those and the transmission failed at 81K on the way through Wyoming and had to spend 10 days in a hotel while his fully set up truck was worked on.None of those problems with a Taco!
fell in love with this video in the first 30 seconds. wow. lovely filming and amazing truck. super inspiring. It’s my dream to travel and work from a truck
Your Jeep was great, but man is it great to see you join the Toyota club! Sweet rig, looking forward to all the great content you’ll be making with your Taco!
Really nice build! Now I want one of these but for Cybertruck. I am totally saving this video for future builds I will try to do in the future! Greetings from rural Japan!
yaasssss!!! he is back!! I have been waiting all year for some content from you good Sir. I keep wondering what Alaska looks like through your lens. Thank you for returning!
Hello sir, i am your channel follower and i watched your all Vlog. I really love them. But now, i decide to purchase a RV, can u tell me why u do not set a washing machine or dryer in your vehicle? Especially the machine which can combine both of the functions and the size is compact?
Congratulations, Drew, I ❤ your new setup, and it looks much cozier and more accommodating. It's so nice to see you back, and I'm looking forward to all your future videos and beautiful travels. I'm curious about your bathroom setup, but I assume you're using nature. LOL❤

That front shot of the Tacoma @ 1:00 switching different terrains/shot was really really cool.
Welcome to the world of Toyotas; you won’t be disappointed! I have such a hard time sitting still even for 5-minute videos and somehow this 33-minute video went by in the blink of an eye. Glad to have you back, Drew, and glad you had a safe trip in Alaska!
Glad to be a part of this build! Awesome video Drew. Seriously next level.
This is by far the best build I have seen in ages. Absolutely amazing set up!!
Man... the quality of US DIYers is so unmatched... I watch Brazilian (I live here) camper videos and when I reach out the US stuff. PHEW!
wow, this camper is an amazing upgrade to the jeep. glad you've got it up and running, looking forward to 2024 videos.
Glad to see you back! You’re my favorite landscape photographer, videographer, drone pilot on RUclips. Be blessed
That shot he had of the setup with a crackling fire backed by a majestic Alaskan mountain and crescent moon …… I mean Wow! If I was to have a dream poster of what I fantasized about to manifest in my life …. THIS IS IT!

i agree. the cinematography is premium!
As a Landscape and Astronomy Photographer, THIS is 99.99% my “Dream Rig” 🤯 Well Done! 👍🏾
You must be SO happy with this build. You've obviously put a lot of thought into the planning
Much love
FINALLY! Amazing build. Perfect mix of utility, style, products, and DIY. Nothing comes even close to the footage quality, dude. You're king!
So happy you're back Drew!! WOW!!!! that is one awesome rig! Cant wait to see the adventure content you create from it.

So excited to see you come back! And great to see these upgrades.
EASILY the most well thought out and built rig out there! Excited to see more of it 🙌
5:37 this would be a sick decal. Clearly a GOAT
Thank you.
$55,000 for the camper kitted out, $35,000 for the tray, then add the price of whatever truck you want.
I have never been so excited for a vehicle walk around before and it did not disappoint! Can not wait to your upcoming videos!
Smart move going from a Jeep to Toyota!! Beautiful build!
Amazing setup Drew! I loved the ol' Jeep, but this Tacoma is a massive upgrade and it looks really slick! Belated congrats on your engagement too and love your (big) puppy! Incredible build! Wish you had shown how you entered and exited the camper.
It's funny, I remember when I found this channel ...It was probably the first one that took you through finding the locations, setting up, cooking etc but with words LOL. The Godfather of overlanding has returned

It's basically an infomercial
A very good one at that. Props to Drew! Very thoughtful build and intentional. It’s clear he is very experienced with what’s needed and what matters after years on the road.
1:20 umm bro........this shot is freaking sick! I'm nearly speechless
Did I miss the total weight?
And total price lol. Man these builds are expensive as hell.
Guy gives us real life visuals of all that we only dream of. Incredibly awesome content. GBU.
So, how much was it ?
$60k build not including the truck
the legend returns!
The Legend has Returned yeahhhh u got that right Schaffer
I think he went to Alaska 😂

He is. Playing with people's lives.
How thick are you guys? He literally shows you the massive suspension upgrades in the video 😊
@@paulcollard6634 which do nothing for payload. do some research
@@paulcollard6634 his suspension upgrades are irrelevant. Suspension upgrades don't change payload.
Payload capacity is after 4 adults are in the vehicle, but yeah he’s still probably pretty close to the limit.
He is back!! Welcome back drew, this is a really good build.🗻
RIP your payload capacity. It amazes me how influencers continue to show how little they know about the equipment they use. But hey, keep perpetuating that dangerous nonsense so you can get more clicks.
7777 pounds
Did I miss the answer?
7.777lbs is 3.752 kilos Hope that helps.😅
Easily one of the best camper setup I've seen on a Tacoma. Looking fwd to your new videos!!
Dude this is so unsafe
What is unsafe?
Why ?

I love watching the suspension do its work going fast in the riverbed. It looks very well tuned.
Welcome to the Tacoma Family, Drew! Always love seeing you doing what makes you truly passionate.
Dude. This is the most beautifully produced video of any truck camper I've ever seen.... and I've seen tons recently. Well done is an understatement
I’ve been waiting for this video to drop since I saw a sneak peak of your rig at Overland Expo. Good to have you back and looking forward to see more of your Alaska adventures!

Pretty sure his electrical set up is not for that.
Congratulations, Drew, I ❤ your new setup, and it looks much cozier and more accommodating. It's so nice to see you back, and I'm looking forward to all your future videos and beautiful travels.
I'm curious about your bathroom setup, but I assume you're using nature. LOL❤
Good to see you're doin' well man! Looking forward to more winter camping vids!
Doesnt matter the vehicle
Your content and the way you present it is by

I love your new rig, Drew! It looks comfortable.
nunca habia visto una configuracion tan perfecta, todos los que veo son, demasiado llamativos, o no son practicos para vivir, o demasiado rusticos, o lo que sea.
