  • I recently spent a week solo snow camping out of my Jeep in Stanley Idaho. Temperatures dropped down to -28C (-18F) and I even got some fresh snowfall during my time there. Big thanks to Motion Array for sponsoring this video bit.ly/motiona...
Bushcraft cooking over an open fire, lots of hot springs, and some snowshoeing made for a great week trip up near the sawtooth mountains

Better than most netflix shows. Love the work you put in all this camera angles. Not only you position the camera at awesome spots, you also make sure not to make footsteps in the shot which is a detail most people won't recognise. Absolutely stunning.
I wish I can Film in spots like this too where absolutely no people are around 😍

Thank you for making these Drew and I hope you continue to in the future. Safe travels.

Those snowy, blusih white scenes were like a magical winter wonderland. Loved the aerial drone shots and the musical selections. You can imagine the effort Drew put into setting the camera down, filming himself walking or driving, then having to go back to pick it up and trek on, especially when its that cold. That plunge into the icy river was just insane though! :) As always, a detailed first-rate and moving vlog.

Drew, I've been one of your long time sub and I can't express properly how much I have waited this winter for you to put one of these winter camping vids up on the channel. Iceland and all is fine but this is what I was craving!! For someone who aspires to do even one of these winter camping trips but drives a modest FWD SUV with no snow preparation, your vids are some of my most anticipated videos. Thank you so very much and some of the angles keep getting absolutely insane. Your love for the craft, an eye for unique angles, the prep that goes into planning and the utmost discomfort of just putting yourself out there for the love of nature is inspirational. Hats off dude! Cheers from PNW.

Cold probably dropped the pressure too low on your propane. White gas stove with a priming cup and pre-heat tube is the way to go for extreme cold. Or an electric stove since you have that portable battery, but keep in mind that its capacity temporarily goes down when it's cold.

Possibly one of the greatest videos I've ever seen. ❤️ As a drone guy myself, I definitely appreciate the epic aerial shots! I also like the tripod drive bys and distance shots. Anyone who is dedicated to quality filming knows it's not just camping. Camping and filming like this is a whole different animal! I'm probably upgrading my Liberty II to a Wrangler in a few months, and I love your set up. It looks like you have well thought out conveniences. While I'm sure they're not cheap, it's easy to see how having the right tools can make an experience more enjoyable. Man what a peaceful setting! I just can't say enough. The videography is excellent. You do a great job at telling the story behind the natural beauty. Once you get down to temps below freezing you need to insulate or place water, etc. items in the refrigerator just to keep them from freezing. No guarantee though. Whats really tough is to think of the cold start on your Jeep. Most people have an engine heater to save on engine wear. I've herd of people taking a torch to oil pan to heat it up so oil is not so thick before starting engine.

I grew up in the northern Idaho panhandle (Moscow) and frequently came to Stanley(passing through mostly) and Clayton for family visits and camping with my dad. Hot springs are a rite of passage for anyone living there, and I loved them as a kid. Thanks for showing Idaho in this way. It is a beautiful state but not for everyone to live. For anyone not from Idaho, it really does get that cold there, and it really does snow that much-- especially wet heavy snow. Hunting, fishing and camping are the most popular activities to do in Idaho. If you are into the outdoors and like cold weather, Idaho might be for you.

My jaw dropped & was like that the whole video. I mean the contrast, the video quality , & the shots, scenic beauty is the best i have ever seen in my entire life.
Everyone should watch this with highest video quality your device can play.
I mean just wow . Where were you dude.
Your 4k shots are the best, maybe better than discovery or nat geo.
Keep it going. Gonna share this with everyone i know.

The Jeep is amazing, the truck build will be very limited in where it can go. But for a professional with a drone. Nah. You'll be ok, without visiting the extreme locations a jeep will get you. Its ok Drew, your work is beyond amazing! Wish you the best!

I always wished you posted more but honestly just by watching you can tell these videos take days to weeks to plan edit and shoot. I appreciate all the work you put in!!

I’m 38 and have been doing photography and cinematography as a hobby for 2- decades . Your B-roll is some of the best I’ve seen not only in real cinema but on RUclips as a whole. The drone footage and color grading on a 4ktv and monitor looks fuxking stunning.
Great job dude! Subbbbed and shared!!!

Brother, you work harder than anyone I know when it comes to getting the shot or the complete montage - seriously. Really good work. You can be proud.

I'm still watching the video but just had to comment, that intro was captivating. Those drone shots were the best I've ever seen.
