  • Bodycam shows the arrest of now-suspended University of Alabama freshman football player Tony Mitchell for allegedly fleeing police at 141 mph on March 15. The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office said deputies searched his vehicle after smelling an odor of marijuana, finding half a pound of weed, a loaded gun, and $7,000 in cash. The defensive back tearfully pleaded with deputies while in custody, at one point asking if he could get off if his passenger took the blame. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie has the full story.

I had a friend in college who lived in a honors dorm freshman year which meant he had a very high GPA out of high school. He just mysteriously disappeared one day and I learned that he was caught riding in a car with several stolen guns and everyone in the car took the charge since nobody wanted to tell who's guns they were. If you have a bright future, stay away from people who aren't headed where you want to go in life because they will throw you off course. My friend lost his full ride scholarship and never finished college because of that 1 day he got in that car.
