On January 7, 2020, Trooper Deryck Lewis with the Florida Highway Patrol conducted a window tint traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Espinoza. The 27-year-old Espinoza told Lewis that she was on her way back from a trip to Texas - where, unfortunately, she had lost her driver's license. As Espinoza wrote down her information for Lewis, the trooper confirmed his suspicion with a tint meter: the windows were unlawfully dark.
But that wasn't all the trooper was after. Trooper Chris Nottingham arrived on scene with his K9 partner "Flip," for a free-air sniff around Ms. Espinoza's vehicle. Flip alerted, and Sergeant Joshua Malloy and Trooper Eric Schaub arrived on scene to assist in the vehicle search. While the search was underway, Espinoza utilized her cell phone to make a number of phone calls.
During those calls, Espinoza was recorded stating in Spanish, "I'm on my way back. They're checking everything. They haven't found it yet, but they will. I'm not under arrest yet, but they're checking everything. I'm going to lose everything, everything. I'm not getting out of this one. They got the dog on me. They found it."
As if the 26 pounds of cocaine were not incriminating enough.
Espinoza was federally prosecuted, and was ultimately sentenced to 24 months in prison to be followed by 36 months supervised release. Espinoza was permitted to self-report to prison after January 1, 2021, a few months after her sentencing, however Espinoza got an earlier-than-planned involuntary check-in after she was arrested on December 5, 2020, for battering her live-in boyfriend, who is also the father of her children. Espinoza was out again by January 1, 2022... when she was once again arrested for domestic battery.

Right. If I was hauling that shit I'd be about as much in compliance as possible.
Most of the time it's due to informants but, yeah...don't tint your windows moving weight.
It blows my mind that if somebody is going to transport that much money worth of anything illegal they would at the very least have their license ready to go and everything updated with the registration and insurance. Why would you risk your life transporting all those drugs when you can't even at least pass a basic traffic stop

Meanwhile she works at an Amazon distribution center and they found 26 pounds of coke on her probably because a tip off because a normal tint stop doesn't lead to a drug bust, just a ticket, usually a fix it ticket unless you're not a first time offender

I remember several years ago I suffered from severe depression and mental disorder. I was addicted to illicit pills, alcohol, and smoking until I was recommended for psilocybin mushroom treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly I'm 8 years clean now. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against anxiety and depression.
To be honest, mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on the planet and it is natural, they serve in many ways not only for mental related issues.
Can you help me with a reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. It is very hard to get a reliable source here in New Zealand. Really need!
Yes, Sporeville. I had the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction... Mushrooms definitely made a huge difference to why I'm clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place.
Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He's 59 & has many mental health issues plus probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD knows if it is common for an obsession with violence.

That “I don’t have my license” bs gets them all the time.
so what was the cops reasoning for getting a dog in to search for a illegal tint? doesnt there have to be reasonable grounds for a search in the U.S?
Was kinda curious what the probable cause was.
Some states they can have a dog sniff the car at any traffic stop..
I was wondering on that too.
There is no probable cause for this. A traffic violation (misdemeanor) and nothing indicating intoxication or anything such, doesnt seem to warrant a search. Its legally allowed to have a dog sniff outside the car and if it alerts, that is probably cause and reason for a search.
But why did they call in the canine to begin with? And he seems to have been there rather quick too.
Might be a setup
only 2 years for 26 pounds? she 100% snitched. If not she would've gotten 10 years.
nah, most likely got a good lawyer and used the minority woman card to get reduced sentence. if she snitched she would have gotten scot free.

I remember hearing an FBI interview of a very successful criminal and one of the things the guy stated that helped him succeed for so long, was that he always kept his vehicle, license, insurance, registration, in proper and legal order. No violations ever.
It's amazing to me how many criminals end up caught over just stupid, even ELECTIVE things, that are manifestly illegal.
I've never heard of anyone being pulled over for tint in my state, unless it was the probable cause they were looking for to do a stop. Every unmarked police car I've ever seen almost has limo tint. So why the double standard. We can't risk public safety just because it's a police cruiser, right?
Whose looking in a cop car? They protect and serve us not rob, drug runs, drug use. We don't need to see what they're doing cuz their job is to watch us. Limo tint is called that for a reason. She wasn't driving a limo from what I saw.
YES! If you're committing a serious felony, don't fuck up with a misdemeanor. LOL
Edit: Some people just "go" and don't think about the consequences or results of decisions they make.
That doesn't mean shit. They will use any excuse for a traffic stop the main one is following too closely it has nothing to do with the car
All you got to do is look who the criminal is and what configuration. The Usual Suspects. Everybody does it but you do have your people that do it mostly. Whether people want to admit it or not I don't care

haha I was thinking the same thing. Like man, I hear you got 26 lbs of Bam Bam, but right now we gotta get this drivers license figured out for you. We need you back on the road ASAP!
@@devildog8473 lol 26 lbs of bam bam 🤣 but let just get your license fix

On the ride to the yard. I was thinking the same
And I have a gut feeling that she got ratted out, because that cop automatically knew to get a canine to sniff out the car, they do not do that with a simple traffic stop, no way!
Exactly
Yeah, he definitely didn't stop her because of tint.
Of course
Oh if they run your name and see you have a bunch of drug charges they sure might.
The tint was just to distract her so the canine could do it’s job

At least both parties were totally respectful to each other! I wish all police could be as calm as this officer.
She’s a pro at this and handled the takedown quite well and knows what she’s up against. It’s a shame that she has kids
Good that she has kids! So she won’t ever do that stupid shit again

The real tragedy is law enforcement sold the drug's back to the streets, and they make money but no crime for them.
She only received 24 months in federal prison and 24 months supervised probation for trafficking 26 pounds of pure cocaine. She's lucky
lol because she's a woman, let a man get caught with 24 keys lol
probably cause of her conduct/how she carried herself through the whole thing

That's how they get you. You are taken aback by their "kindness", and happily allow them to trample your rights.
The questions he’s asking aren’t consistent with a traffic stop. It’s consistent with knowing he’s got something big.
You right
How did he know tho why bring dog ?? For tint its really good guess but crazy

This is something normal any highway cops do or border town police its normal procedure to run the dog around every cst they stop its how all cops working the highways catch smuggling border patrol does the same thing

I love that he gets her out of the car easily by telling he’s going to ‘give her a chance to stretch her legs’. This officer is awesome! And gosh, she conveniently can’t remember where her job - the distribution center is, but she knows that she packs boxes. Wonder what she packs in these boxes? 🤔

That was the first thing I thought, kind of scary that she works in a distribution center.
I died when thay started playing the up beat music while this girls life is falling apart lmao 🤣🤣
I thought I was watching an episode from Breaking bad starting at 10:29. That is Hank Schrader leaning on the door.
They knew who she was, where she was going, and what she had on board before she got in her car that morning. They wanted her to make calls while being recorded in the backseat.
Exactly, they are acting on information. Simple to see when you know how it all works. They do this so the informant is protected and the convict thinks it was a random police check.
They got a tip off… to distract them while the real mule drives by.
Of course since when do they randomly bring K9’s out??
Yep. Another case of parallel construction of evidence. There is probably an undercover or an informant somewhere who tipped them off, or another agency like DEA, BP, DHS was already surveilling people involved in the operation and passed off a "tip" to the state troopers. And to avoid having to reveal the source information in her trial, they make up a different reason for the stop in the first place. In this case she had tinted windows which made it easy. If not, they just follow until she gets "too close" to another car, touches a lane marker, forgets to signal, or goes slightly too fast or too slow. This isn't a conspiracy theory. There are agencies that already openly admit to this.
Exactly, Have a cop follow you long enough and they will find an excuse to stop you. {edit] if they want/need to. My point being that it is nearly impossible for the average person to drive the speed limit and perform every traffic maneuver to the letter of the law. Not saying that police are just looking for an excuse to stop anyone and everyone.
She’s done that trip, many times. She was so calm,it’s all in the game, for her.
