Apparently, after making a friend with a lovely lady, was told that I come off desperate to her female friends because I show them positive attention by listening to them and asking follow up questions and being able to circle back to keep a conversation going. My parents have been married for 21 years and my mom is more aggressive. My dad is soft and calm but I have seen him adapting cuz of my mom like he gets angry quickly and my mom does not get calm when she is angry. Also I don't have much female interaction so I don't know how to relate with this completely.
My friend’s mother is the most loving mother I have ever known. She is all about making sacrifices for the family. She gave all her life savings (70k) to her newly married son so that he could buy a house, while she was in cheap apartment paying rent. Her son’s wife was about 8-months pregnant, when the mother moved into her son’s house to cook for them and help with the chores and everything. After she gave birth, they asked for mom’s help a lot. The mom took care of the baby 1/3 of the time, or usually half the time. Their baby is now 2 years old. The son is kicking mom out of their house, because his wife does not want her in the house. It is not like the mom was causing any problems for them. There are two bathrooms in the house so even the bathrooms are not shared. The mom had been used like a maid. Her son’s wife never worked a job, and has never made a sacrifice for anyone her entire life. Now, she is kicking the mom out of their house for which she did not pay a single cent. The mom asked if she could stay with them just 3-months more, and the son said no, because his wife is so upset about it. She is just allergic to the mom. The mom was not even allowed to ask son’s wife why she wanted to kick her out. Since day 1, they acted as if this girl is an actual queen whose wishes are meant to be done without a questioning. Poor mother has never been a rebel. She was told not to comment if she saw something wrong such as fruits getting rot in the refrigirator etc. I am extremely upset about this situation as a person who knows all the details. What would you think of this son and his wife? Is it a crime to live with your husband’s mom if she is in need, especially if she is somebody who made a lot of sacrifices for them?
The son is at fault, as this is his responsibility to ensure all are treated fairly in that family and enforce the rules if someone tests or breaks them. It is fair for the mother to stay with her son and his wife for all she did for them and their firstborn. Son's wife is being selfish and getting away with it, it seems. Her 'reign', if left unchallenged by her husband will lead down the path that will ruin their whole family. It is sad. You should make him aware of this, so he can make his choice fully consciously and take responsibility.
@Peter-Oak I talked to him multiple times. He does not fully acknowledge that they are so mean to his mom for reason... He was like “My wife does not want my mom. What can I do? Mom is making it a big deal.” He blames the mom for not wanting to leave right away. The mom wanted to stay 3 more months to improve her financial situation first, and now the mom feels like all the sacrifices that she made for her son are not acknowledged and appreciated.

The mom took care of the baby 1/3 of the time, or usually half the time.
Their baby is now 2 years old. The son is kicking mom out of their house, because his wife does not want her in the house. It is not like the mom was causing any problems for them. There are two bathrooms in the house so even the bathrooms are not shared. The mom had been used like a maid. Her son’s wife never worked a job, and has never made a sacrifice for anyone her entire life. Now, she is kicking the mom out of their house for which she did not pay a single cent.
The mom asked if she could stay with them just 3-months more, and the son said no, because his wife is so upset about it. She is just allergic to the mom. The mom was not even allowed to ask son’s wife why she wanted to kick her out. Since day 1, they acted as if this girl is an actual queen whose wishes are meant to be done without a questioning. Poor mother has never been a rebel. She was told not to comment if she saw something wrong such as fruits getting rot in the refrigirator etc.
I am extremely upset about this situation as a person who knows all the details. What would you think of this son and his wife? Is it a crime to live with your husband’s mom if she is in need, especially if she is somebody who made a lot of sacrifices for them?
The son is at fault, as this is his responsibility to ensure all are treated fairly in that family and enforce the rules if someone tests or breaks them. It is fair for the mother to stay with her son and his wife for all she did for them and their firstborn. Son's wife is being selfish and getting away with it, it seems. Her 'reign', if left unchallenged by her husband will lead down the path that will ruin their whole family. It is sad. You should make him aware of this, so he can make his choice fully consciously and take responsibility.
@Peter-Oak I talked to him multiple times. He does not fully acknowledge that they are so mean to his mom for reason... He was like “My wife does not want my mom. What can I do? Mom is making it a big deal.” He blames the mom for not wanting to leave right away. The mom wanted to stay 3 more months to improve her financial situation first, and now the mom feels like all the sacrifices that she made for her son are not acknowledged and appreciated.

In fact, when a man and woman are married, they become one flesh. You don't say that your right eye is useless because it is a mirror of your left, right?
